This is one of the best covers ever. UB40 was one of my favorite bands in the 90's. This song was on the soundtrack to the 1993 movie Sliver starting Sharon Stone and William Baldwin.

The brass arrangement on this track is sublime. There's a live version which they performed at Montreux which really emphasises this aspect.

This song reminds me of Art Bell's Coast to Coast AM radio show, he used to play it as bumper music.

Great Reaction Stan . UB40 tHe uk reggae band . When they first got together they were all unemployed . UB40 is a card they issue to you so you can receive UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT . Hence the card is called UB40 . Thats how they named the band . Try reacting to UB40 and Chrisse Hinde I Got You Babe or Baby Come Back featuring Panto Banto . Thanks Stan

Obviously love the Elvis version but feel this really is a fantastic cover and does a beautiful song justice.

Hi Stan, i grew up with UB40''s reggae style music and believe me all their covers were really really good. Here's another artist I would like for you to react to. He is South African(vusi nova) and did a cover of I'd rather go blind by the great Etta James. Like ub40 he created a faster paced version that was really good. It trended all over the radio a couple of years ago. I doubt westerners are aware of him or this version which he dedicated to his mom. Try reacting to it . czcams.com/video/xrBizRMH-tc/video.html... many celebrated artists over the years have covered it in the same slower pace as Etta, but for me it will always be Etta's version and then Vusi's upbeat version. Enjoy it... Peace and love.

Nice reaction as always Life With Stan! And if you thought that was good, you should listen to Diana Ankudinova's cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love With You"! Two words to describe her cover of that song: Mind-blowing!

I have seven… Yes seven… Albums by UB40 and I could point you detracts from every single one that you simply had to react to. But personally I think you should return to the source, take a track from their debut album "present Arms".… The anthem of the early 80s "One in 10"
