Yeah it's like my countries right to freedom of expression; you can criticize the government without fear of being sued or arrested or charged. It's a VERY IMPORTANT right, without that right it's much easier for a country to fall into authoritarianism. When the right to freely express your opinions on your government is stripped, that's when you're in trouble. That's some 1984 ish. It also doesn't mean you can say whatever you want about whoever you want and they aren't allowed to respond or challenge you. It blows my mind that an actual practicing lawyer went to TikTok to ask the general public for help in understanding the actions of the opposing lawyers in a lawsuit against him. He's the guy that I would want to represent me in court, for sure.
Lawyer here: I think I speak for 93% of the legal community (there are always at least 7% that are bat shit crazy) when I say...we do not claim this man.
Love that the accusation has gone from “there is an insanely dangerous concentration of forever chemicals in Prime!!!” to just saying “PFOAs are carcinogenic” and asking if there are ANY forever chemicals in Prime, as if we’re somehow not going to notice that he isn’t specifying the concentration anymore. Bro. If the ingestion of ANY AMOUNT AT ALL of PFOAs caused Immediate Cancer and the concentration didn’t matter, half the people in the US would have leukemia from drinking tap water. This is so absurd.
So he was reporting information he uncovered in the process of researching a possible case AGAINST PRIME. Provable untrue information. That is damaging to the product. So his defense of performing the textbook definition of defamation is...that he wanted to distribute misinformation that would help a case he was looking into taking on. Bro.
I work with attorneys, just because you are an attorney DOESN’T make you seasoned or competent. I’ve had attorneys that I had to teach law while being an assistant. You passing the bar means nothing. He doesn’t sound credible at all and I LOATHE Logan Paul.
My mom has been a lawyer for 30 years, and she mentioned how this guy is very much not special. Having dealt with many a younger male lawyer before, she guaranteed that this guy is also a horror in court
Login Paul should go after his license. Especially now that the idiot is still going on even after it seems he and Logan made a deal that he would apologise and Logan wouldn't sue him.
Oh boy he’s back. This is so sad. I have no real education in law except for 3 high school courses and I believe that this kid should hire me to consult for him. Yes you’re getting fired and it’s likely for violating a social media contract. You’re being sued because you likely violated a non-compete contract and signing with the former clients of your former employer is a violation of the employment contract you signed. This kid is also uninformed about defamation law. He lied or was too dumb to understand math and should be backtracking. He’s only going to learn when he gets his butt handed to him by real lawyers. Someone needs to go find his parents and figure out what went wrong.
This almost sent me into a panic because of the leukemia stuff. My eldest niece use to have it when she was younger and my youngest niece is so obsessed with it.. my heart dropped for a second im glad it got cleared up so quickly 😂😂
@@ghoultooth of course but I'm not her parent so I don't have control over that. At the very least if prime or any of the other drinks she consumed were proven to cause something like that then I'd be able to convince them to keep her off that specific drink but at the end of the day it's up to them what they let their kids drink
A lawyer should know that they're going to wait until the last minute to take deposition in hopes that you forgetting something completely screws you over
Some Tiktok lawyers kind of remind me of used car sale men. They talk a lot, but have no idea what they're saying. Makes me wonder what website did Tommy find his facts about PFOS linked to cancer. There is a ton of fake information on the internet. I do feel bad for the child who has cancer, and hope he's getting proper treatment for it.
Seems to me like this guy is a bad lawyer and I am concerned about any clients he may have if he cannot even read a lawsuit and his ego won't let him back down. I fear this will end in him being disbarred
He's known for being a real jerk to his clients, totally taking advantage of them and messing with them just to benefit himself. He's all about himself, doesn't care about anyone else, and he's just out of line
Those claims in the newest video asking about forever chemicals was frustrating. Don't get me wrong Logan Paul is guilty of a lot of things, but adding forever chemicals to his drinks is likely not one of them.
Can you imagine being the parent of the kid with leukemia who filed the lawsuit, maybe you were misguided or desperate for a solution to medical debt, and then the lawyer you hite goes on tiktok to confeont the person you are suing, and then you get people calling you, trying to interview you, trying to find your personal information and this whole time you have A CHILD IN THE HOSPITAL!
Here is my not-lawyer not-advice take: I am going to go scream into a pillow for an hour because this dude is such a mess. First: if he is being sued by his firm, run in the opposite direction. Either the lawyer did something really wrong or the firm did, and I know which way I'm leaning. Second: if the words "I'm being sued by my former employer" ever passes your lips, the only smart thing to do is stop talking. He should know this. One law note: it actually is normal to disagree with doctors regularly. He's talking about how both sides in an injury lawsuit bring in doctors as expert witnesses. His job is to discredit the opponent's doctor. Not like, every day, but it is routine. I cannot believe I am being forced to compliment Logan Paul, but in his videos he does a very good job saying what his lawyers told him to say in a way that sounds natural and unforced. Except for the "pressing charges" part, because charges are criminal. The right term here is bringing claims. (No shade to anyone here - this is a super common misunderstanding)
I think the lawyer purposefully reported misinformation to get this out in the media and that jurors might hear about it. All it takes is a little misinformation, and the jury could easily find against Logan.
My daughter has leukemia. I'm pretty sure Grape Prime (which happens to be her favorite flavor, by the way) did not give it to her. THAT'S NOT HOW LEUKEMIA WORKS!!!!! Like Logan Paul said (I hate to agree with him, but he's right), THREE MINUTES OF RESEARCH!!!!!
Being in the middle of a lawsuit (with his ex-firm) and making videos about them complaining about discovery and no one asking for his testimony is NOT lawyer behavior and as a lawyer he should know that he could file a motion with the judge to submit evidence or his testimony or whatever. If he has an issue, and is a lawyer, he knows how the court works and how to solve the issue…through the court. He’s just trying to slander his old company 😂 and they sued him for stealing their clients. Which is an extremely valid reason to sue in the first place.
I used to be so intimidated by lawyers and I held such high esteem for law school. The last 8 years of politics have taught me any idiot can be a lawyer. Like really, ANY idiot.
These tiktok lawyers are really demonstrating the fact that the person with the best scores and the person that only just pass the bar get the same piece of paper.
Yup. A friend of mine had a saying - "What's the difference between a doctor who graduated medical school with all As and one that graduated with all Ds? None, because they're both doctors."
So when he's hired as a lawyer to look into something he starts talking stuff and accusing but the moment he's the one that needs multiple lawyers all of a sudden he can't talk or affirm anything...
He also made a huge jump about a supposed client(??) that was a kid that had drank these drinks and now has cancer…and didn’t specifically say one caused the other but it was HEAVILY insinuated. Even as a lawyer reporting on lawsuits he doesn’t seem to really understand that he could have one against him because of these videos 😅
This is why lawyers stick to what they can prove regarding the facts with the evidence and expert testimony. Lawyers proffer experts to testify the knowledge that they have regarding an issue, that’s evidence in a case. Not what the lawyer states, a jury can only use evidence from the witness stand anyway. Anybody can sue anybody for damages in civil court. A judge/grand jury decides if you have a case regarding the depositions and evidence, if not the case gets dismissed. If you do have a case a judge puts it to trail, and a jury determines the facts in civil cases.
How is this guy a lawyer when he doesn't even know the law of his own country's constitution? The First Amendment is the right to free speech... AGAINST THE GOVENMENT. It doesn't mean you can say what you want to anyone about anything, it just means you can criticize the government without fear of being prosecuted for it. I know this, and i am neither a lawyer, nor American, or ever lived in the US.
I work for law firms as an IT and billing consultant... there are some really smart and capable lawyers, but there are also ones that are clearly coasting by through dumb luck and a healthy dose of nepotism. If you dont vibe well with your lawyer or feel like they are BS-ing, get a different one. You do not want to settle when it comes to hiring an attorney.
What he's talking about on the doctors disputing things is that doctors don't necessarily agree on everything. I was in a workers comp case that ended last year. The people who worked for the company said that there was nothing wrong with me even though there clearly was and they said that the MRIs didn't show anything abnormal. My doctors said the opposite. They said that there is clearly something wrong with me and that this point on the MRI means this and then this point on this x-ray means that this is cracked or whatever it was. I'm not saying that I agree at all with what this guy is doing because from everything that I've seen and videos and read in like the two articles that I actually read, he sounds like he is definitely crazy. But on this point I understand what he means
There are so very many ways to claim Logan Paul is sketchy that we don't really need anyone to misrepresent the lawsuit. Leave reading and following legal dramas to people like Madcatster and Legal Eagle
He may be a qualified lawyer - but he doesn't seem to be a *good* lawyer. Basic Lesson: If you have a legal case, keep it in the courts. In the courts, you have to have evidence that can be examined carefully and considered in the case. On TikTok, you can say whatever you want then claim it's opinion and walk away.
I imagine the reason Prime didn't go forward with the lawsuit was more because it can be very difficult to prove that the defamation (which is inarguable at this point) caused actual damage to the company. That involves having to show a significant difference between their projected profit and actual profit which can be difficult, especially for a company like Prime where the face of their company are two massively popular CZcamsrs. Tommy got off lucky so the fact that he has decided to carry on making the same claims, but phrasing it as "just asking questions" is insane. The "just asking questions" route can better protect you against being sued, but not when you've already publicly made the claims that your questions are implying. Plus, doubling down on the leukemia claim? This man would lose a game of chess to a pigeon. (Congrats on 500k!
I'm just going to repeat him. "I don't know what I'm doing." He really doesn't because, though I'm not a big LP fan, that "lawyer" can't fully understand defamation if he initially, and then keeps posting about it. Even to ask LP if he knows about these chemicals being bad... um, duh? But let's face it, our government allows for so many bits of shit to be in our food, etc. And LP even said himself, they're in the bottles, so yes, they will get into the drink. I would NOT trust that lawyer to get his own testing done. That's shaddy as hell!
Been keeping a little extra eye out regularly for ages soooo pleased for you to quite rightly / very well deserved ….be about to hit five hundred thousand 👏🤗🔥❤️🔥🥳🚀
Personal opinion - if a lawyer can’t even read someone else’s lawsuit and interpret it correctly, I probably wouldn’t want them to actually write a filing…

would love to see where this guy got his degree from, the sheer level of incompetence has me thinking Degree Mill…
Maybe he was so envious of Janette that he decided to create a drama for himself
Lawyer here: I think I speak for 93% of the legal community (there are always at least 7% that are bat shit crazy) when I say...we do not claim this man.
How much of the 7% is him and Janet Braun
Lawyer here. In the 93% and 100% agree we do not claim him. "demands made" = "cease and desist". He is full of it.
The "lawyer" also seems to forget that the FDA, EMEA, and similar regulatory agencies exist.
Making me side with Logan Paul is next level evil.
So he was reporting information he uncovered in the process of researching a possible case AGAINST PRIME. Provable untrue information. That is damaging to the product. So his defense of performing the textbook definition of defamation is...that he wanted to distribute misinformation that would help a case he was looking into taking on.
Bro.
I hope that he ends up having to change his username to "Tommytheformerlawyer".
that made me chuckle @@Malvok
I work with attorneys, just because you are an attorney DOESN’T make you seasoned or competent. I’ve had attorneys that I had to teach law while being an assistant. You passing the bar means nothing. He doesn’t sound credible at all and I LOATHE Logan Paul.
My mom has been a lawyer for 30 years, and she mentioned how this guy is very much not special. Having dealt with many a younger male lawyer before, she guaranteed that this guy is also a horror in court
Science isn't decided in the court. Winning a lawsuit means nothing
Logan Paul was way too damn nice about this. I wouldn’t fault him for going after him legally. What he accused him of is egregious
Login Paul should go after his license. Especially now that the idiot is still going on even after it seems he and Logan made a deal that he would apologise and Logan wouldn't sue him.
Your “I’m not afraid of you bro” in the typical North American boy accent is killliiinnn me 😂😂😂
Manifesting 500k for Markie today ⭐️✨🌟
"I'll pay for the testing myself"
buddy, you better save every penny you got
You can't get leukemia from a soda.
I do want to mention that I would still avoid giving energy drinks to young children, it can cause quite a few issues. :)
@@ghoultooth of course but I'm not her parent so I don't have control over that. At the very least if prime or any of the other drinks she consumed were proven to cause something like that then I'd be able to convince them to keep her off that specific drink but at the end of the day it's up to them what they let their kids drink
@ghoultooth the hydration isn't an energy drink
A lawyer should know that they're going to wait until the last minute to take deposition in hopes that you forgetting something completely screws you over
Why is a lawyer not completely reading a lawsuit before speaking on it? That’s terrifying. How does he treat his own cases 😮
Congratulations on the 500K Markie! Well deserved!!🎉🎉
Why this lawyer look like a public defender. I didn’t know someone could actually look like a public defender.
Well, it IS something he is guilty of. But our water has forever chemicals in it. Our food does. Most things do now, unfortunately
He's like the TikTok version of Matt Gaetz
I snorted so hard at this
I hate that I’m rooting for Logan in this situation 😭😂
this and his wrestling career makes me vote for him and I hate it 🤣
I still hate him 😂😂😂
@@adriankalitka3762 oh I agree he’s still insufferable
Can you imagine being the parent of the kid with leukemia who filed the lawsuit, maybe you were misguided or desperate for a solution to medical debt, and then the lawyer you hite goes on tiktok to confeont the person you are suing, and then you get people calling you, trying to interview you, trying to find your personal information and this whole time you have A CHILD IN THE HOSPITAL!
A lawyer making a mess on TikTok that isn’t Janet?!?!
(No shade to anyone here - this is a super common misunderstanding)
man…Logan Paul getting to dodge Cryptozoo needs to be studied
He constantly gets away with fuck-up after fuck-up and it boggles my mind how.
Did the boy have leukemia before he drank it? very much "Doctor will I be able to play the piano? Yes. Huh never could before." energy
CONGRATULATIONS on 500,000 subscribers Callum!!!!!!
I think the lawyer purposefully reported misinformation to get this out in the media and that jurors might hear about it. All it takes is a little misinformation, and the jury could easily find against Logan.
HAPPY 500K MARKIE!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Woot woot 🎉so close to 500k! Let’s go!!
Congrats on 500k bro! You did it!
Congrats on 500k!!!!🎉🍾🥂❤
Congratulations on 500k subs Markie!!! 🎉🎉
I love law-tube and follow some amazing lawyers…they make sure to read the actual claims in lawsuits to make sure to get it accurate.
CONGRATS ON 500K!!! HALF A MIL LFG!!!
Never downloaded TikTok before, I find myself most sane when I watch peoples lives unfold from afar.
Just subscribed. Congratulations on 500k!!!
I hope you get your 500k soon I’ve run out of friends to send your videos to 😅
I see 500K subs, congratulations yay 💙💙
Most people associate lawyers with being smart. Thanks to lawyers like Janet Braun and this guy, that's fading fast.
So when he's hired as a lawyer to look into something he starts talking stuff and accusing but the moment he's the one that needs multiple lawyers all of a sudden he can't talk or affirm anything...
7:45 Callum imitating american accents is one of my favorite things in the world 😂😂😂
YOU HIT 500K!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 CONGRATULATIONS!!!! IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU
notable exception, legal eagle
Some of these lawyers are so damn full of themselves 😂 maybe we stick to our cases and stay off the internet 🤦🏻
The weird part to me is that isn’t it a conflict of interest if your lawyer gets sued by the company you’re suing??????
If you do have a case a judge puts it to trail, and a jury determines the facts in civil cases.
congrats on hitting 500K subscribers! It did happen today. Hopefully you'll glide into 1M subscribers later this year
Not a lawyer misinterpreting the first amendment. The first amendment protects you the government not from me.
Hell yes its Markie time, my favorite and Only goto for a drama fill😅❤ you're killing it my man!!!
The police sirens in the background sounds like they're coming for him lmao
🎉🎉🎉congrats Markie on 500K !!! Half way to a million 🎉🎉
Basic Lesson:
If you have a legal case, keep it in the courts.
In the courts, you have to have evidence that can be examined carefully and considered in the case.
On TikTok, you can say whatever you want then claim it's opinion and walk away.
The only lawyers I trust are the ones from that video where they're smoking cigars and telling you to not talk to the cops lol
Just been thinking about the cruise ship drama today and wondering if there hasn't been any for a bit?
I get what the lawyer was saying about doctors saying whatever they are paid to in litigation but yeah bro is wrong.
Yay!!! You made it to 500K. Congrats!!! 🎊
Awesome! One of the best parts of the night is when i come across your new video! Been a subscriber since kenza cosmetics ! 😊 keep up the great work!
Personal opinion - if a lawyer can’t even read someone else’s lawsuit and interpret it correctly, I probably wouldn’t want them to actually write a filing…
Congratulations on 500k randomly came across you one day and now you are a part of my daily routine! Been amazing watching you grow.
Congratulations on 500k !!!! 🎉❤
Been watching since 20k so glad to see you gaining 💪👏
