Especially there is lot of published evidence of frozen fruits and vegetables retain most of their nutrients when frozen but all Ayurveda experts still do not recommend using them. I have a question: Let's say I have Kapha and Pitta doshas, which means I tend to like slow pace activity but I also sometimes have explosive burst of emotion, but I feel like Kapha is more dominant because I feel like Kapha's characteristics are more like me. Does that mean I need to prioritize to balancing Kapha dosha first, and Pitta later?

    • @vap5924
      @vap5924 Před 11 měsíci +2

      Actually,our body build up with all three dosha because without tridosha body can't work. balancing the dosha is depending on diet you taking so is you taking more sweet,slimy and snigdh diet it will lead to kapha vridhi like that if you taking light ,cold and dry diet the it will lead to vata vridhi.
      So you need to consume proper diet .it's no need to prioritise dosha
      If its aggravated then you have to pacify it.

    Can your dosha change as you grow older or does it remain the same? I'm 100% sure I was Vata when I was younger but now as I'm older I think I'm leaning more towards Kapha.

    • @laurenpantellere2560
      @laurenpantellere2560 Před rokem +1

      Niko, I thought I'd answer your question because I am a Holistic Ayurvedic Coach. We are all born with all 3 doshas, but everyone is born with a different amount of each particular dosha. This makes sense when you think that we must have all 5 elements in our body to survive (space, air, fire, water, earth). Let's say you were born with more air and space elements in your body (vata) and were more active when you were younger (since vata is air and space, it is able to move quickly and is very light). Then, as many of us get older, we become more sedentary by sitting in front of computers all day, and commonly eat heavier to digest foods (think processed food, meat, and dairy vs light roasted vegetables), we will increase the earth and water elements in our body (kapha dosha) which can lead to us having more sluggishness, weight gain, water retention, congestion. Ayurveda teaches the principle that like increase like and opposites reduce each other. So whatever qualities you have too much of, we can simply consume foods and perform activities of the opposite quality to get back into balance. I hope you found this informative.

    • @aditishukla6481
      @aditishukla6481 Před 10 dny

      No the basic dosha or prakriti of a person never changes but the dominance changes over time...kapha is dominant during child hence fever cough are common diseases then young age is dominant by pitta that is why appetite is strong and stomach related issues then in old age vaata is dominant hence the joint pain indigestion lack of energy

      Namaste, Include more raw vegetables and fruits in your diet
      • Include dairy products like milk, butter milk, and yogurt that can pacify Pitta
      • People with a Pitta dosha body type tend to feel comparatively more hungry, so it is important to eat frequently.
      • Avoid skipping meals.
      • Eat in a peaceful environment to avoid overeating.
      • Eating spicy foods can aggravate the Pitta dosha, but you can include cooling spice such as cardamom, cilantro, coriander, fennel and mint that help to calm Pitta’s heat.
      • Avoid hot tea or coffee especially in the morning on an empty stomach.

      There are 3 doshas. Therefore they are called Tri doshas. They are the energy principles that carry out life processes/ govern all bodily functions.
