I have suffered from vata dosha most of my life since early teenage days but only 2 years ago got to know about such doshas, and time to time started managing them , all symptoms matched , I mostly used to have ( still have but I manage) dry skin , dry hai , extremely cold feet đŠ¶, feeling extremely cold than most individuals, severe constipation , random uncontrolled depressive thoughts, anxiety, digestive issues, uncontrollable shivering when I felt sad, angry or in hopelessness . Later when I came across these doshas, started managing my symptoms by following Ayurveda principles & now I can manage my symptoms up to 90% đ

@jeet shah @ maheshwari m @ kp kp I started using ghee & cold pressed oils generously, before I wud eat no oil food & no ghee at all for dieting purposes & being fancy but later realized that eating ghee & cold pressed oils are good for you, they wonât make u gain weight. I stopped eating salad đ„ as it aggravates vata & eat warm cooked foods , Use oil moisturizers for hair n skin , I wear socks at night 𧊠if I feel cool feet đŠ¶ ( regardless season) , and in winters warm my feet at night by using a heater before sleeping: it really calms me down and makes me cozy & balances my thoughts n shivering, I meditate or japa at least 10min every day with chitta shuddhi ( complete concentration n trust on almighty) it has really helped me balance my mind , I include spices like ginger, garlic , hing & garam masala 98%, drink warm ginger tea , I really stopped caring about what others think and fashion, if itâs summer or warm day out and if people are wearing sleeveless or half sleeve, & if my body is feeling cold regardless season I wear full sleeves sometimes even a light weight jacket, if my friends or people ask me I simply tell them am feeling cold ., eat homemade sweets n cakes made by me in a healthy way by adding jaggery, honey , palm jaggery n maple syrup, before I wudnt eat sweet even if I craved and that aggravated vata , now I eat sweet but also make sure itâs healthy and I feel satiated, also some of the above what vivek bhayya told . đ

Some steps to balance vata
1. Abhyanga (self massage)
2. Gandush (oil pulling)
3. Orifice oiling (oiling naval, ear, nostrils after bathing)
4. Nasya (nostril oiling before going to bed) ghee or other medicinal
5. Food is medicine
Eat food: sweet, salty,sour
Eat : black pepper, cumin, bay leaves, asafoetida, black cadmium , chillies, Ginger
Include A2 milk, milk products
Consume in moderate: raw foods, salads, kidney beans, cauliflower, peas, potato, mushroom
Drink: herbal tea, soup, besan cheela and seera, milk Dalia, masala chach and butter milk post meal
6. Lifestyle
Sleeping
Reduce screen time
Add Yoga asanas and meditation
Sit in sunlight

I had a surgery in July 2022 & since had been experiencing worse bloating & other symptoms than before & couldnât figure out why. The bloating was like significantly worse so a few days ago I remembered in 2020 I learned a little bit about my vata dosha, began taking some ghee as well as applying it to my feet before bed & massaging it on my entire belly and back as well. WITHIN ONE DAY my bloating reduced by 90% and I felt such a massive difference in how I felt from the inside out. Itâs now been a few days that Iâve been incorporating more vata balancing practices/diet changes - eating my homemade soup, sweet potatoes, warm raw milk w my protein shake instead of cold milk, and have continued taking my ghee internally & externally, and my life has improved immensely just in these few days đđđœđ

Really great Vivek! As an Ayurvedic practitioner myself i agree with everything you say, but more importantly, the way you put it across is fun, easy to follow and very informative. One thing would be worth adding regarding the milk... it should always be warmed. I would add cinnamon, turmeric and a little ghee. I would love to encourage everyone to only drink milk from organic dairies who use compassionate rearing methods.. they don't separate the calf from the mother. It's worth researching a good source. If you can't find it, then i would substitute cow's milk with an alternative like almond or oat milk (not soya)

Ideal is homemade almond milk or oat. I donât know much about rice milk Iâm afraid. Probably depends on the process. What do you think Vivek?
There are some mixed doshas too, like Kapha Pitta(Where Kapha is dominant over pitta and pitta dominates vata.)

I have severe digestion issues (mandhagni) but no body pains at all, so am I vata dosha or pitta dosha? Also, I find high protein foods do not suit me.
There was no mention of how certain food groups affect doshas. Please do cover that in coming videos.
Also, please try and review in future videos, in addition to protien, what impact garlic (raw and cooked), raw vegetables (salads), fruits, chillies (as many Indians eat very spicy food), water intake, specific ingredients like methi seeds, etc, have on the doshas.
