I don't think the Switch 2 will launch in 2024 (but would be very happy if it did) but their new FY are starting soon, if it hasn't already, so they probably will have to at least announce it and admit it exists and are on its way - if not just to ease investors that are wondering if how they are going to keep revenue up etc. So I think it will be announced soon and then have Direct where they talk games coming to the both Switch consoles.
No I can’t see switch 2 this year i mean it’s still technically possible for them to move things up but I’d give it 5% chance.
I have said time and time again a June direct makes far more sense to have one last line up of switch games to carry us until spring 2025, April is far too early to do that.
Doing it in June leaves September wide open to be the most magical month once again with a massive switch 2 presentation
However I also think the first direct next year will be in April instead of February and this is where I think the mix up has come from

What if Nintendo were innovative and actually gave us a disc console this time around. They could use the current switch for streaming.
Honest question not trying to be snooty or anything but why does it matter if it's disk or cartridge? Is there a difference i think as long as the games are good and the console is upgraded
@@Stratz321 if it's on disc it's cheaper and can hold more information. Aka full games on disc. We would have all 3rd party support if Nintendo went disc. They can still have a cart port for the switch games. Also use the current switch for streaming. Win win.

You make good points didn't know disk was cheaper (plus nintendo usually charge more for the same games that are on current gen consoles, maybe that's why). Yeah that would be so much better I recently purchased final fantasy x/ x-2 on switch then when I recieved it realised x-2 was just a download code 😒 that also still has to have the catridge in to play, how does that even make sense. I hate when they do that so bought the PS version which actually has both games on the disk i believe. How could they use the current switch for streaming? It's a bit unfortunate though because it probably won't have disk with a cartridge slot. As according to rumors it seems most likely it will be another hybrid console and don't think or even see how they would make it with disk. Unless they made smaller disk like the PSP

NSW2 has had rumers for years. Bet it looks almost identical to the current one, with a 1080p OLED screen and updated processor.
NSW2 updated joycon will have a larger battery, upgraded joysticks, and the ir sensor will be removed. NSW2 will likely be incompatible with current docks, but joycons will be cross compatible.
Similar to 3ds carts, the NSW2 carts will have a small nub on the back making them console exclusive, but the NSW carts are compatible.

Zach. I get what you are saying but The CZcamsrs that talk about Nintendo and the switch 2 possibly coming in 2024 said that it’s a small possibility but not likely at all. No one really is saying it’s coming out in 2024 with a definitive. Also it only seems like since ph brazil said switch 2 got delayed, then everyone said it got delayed. Almost like they were believing ph Brazil rather then their own sources but that’s just me. Also ph brazil did say that indie direct and then a general direct will happen but so far nothing. He did comment that he hasn’t heard from his source on the indie direct in a while but he has heard about the general direct still being a go for April but plans can change and he won’t know anything solid about it unless it’s a week in advance. This could many things. We will see. I have a theory that if we don’t see anything April and the May investor’s meeting doesn’t reveal anything then maybe all the leakers got the wrong info about the switch 2 possibly. This is all a low chance of course but it’s enough for me to think about it at least. I am still hoping for a 2024 release regardless since there isn’t much I want for the switch this year so far, Only like 2 or 3 games 😂
