Great video, my boys and I, we all have the feathers 7’1 ml and we love it. I have the UL elixir and the mirage and love it too. I pair my w a 2500 vanford and fish all day. We’re a Phenix rod family.

How would you rate this compared to the new Exprides?? I have the 7’2 ML but I like to hold my rod in 2x2 and that longer cork in the front kinda throws me off I’ve been looking for a rod that has that hump for a long time I only like to use 1 rod and I never throw anything huge never above 1/2oz but I use all lures what would you say?? Should I get this one?

Have not used the Expride. But have heard they are nice. I like the Phenix rods thought they are nice.

Phenix is nothing compared to exprides. PERIOD. IF YOU HAVE THE FUNDS FOR AN EXPRIDE GO WITH THE EXPRIDE, sensitivity and durability is way above the phenix.
      - coming from owner of both exprides and phenix. I still love phenix but compared to the expride the phenix doesn’t even come close.

I have a couple of the phoenix M-1 rods. I may try a feather sometime. What store did you find it in? I order mine on tackle warehouse.

Do you have any issues with the size of the first guide? Is the stripper guide too small?

I am purchasing two of the 7' 7" medium action rods tonight and have the same concern, the stripper guide is much smaller and its further away from the reel seat than any other spinning rods that i own. i have heard that the line hits the rod when using braid...i cant see it happening, but i guess others have.

You could use it for drop yes. They also make in a medium light also that would be great. Check out there full line great rods and super sensitive. Thanks for watching
