Wilka and Ian McCartor review a 1-year wild journey into the greater depths of mortality.
Wilka and Ian met around the Days of the Dead in San Miguel de Allende in 2018. They discovered a shared affinity and connection around their views and experiences with dying patients, and everything to do with grief, loss and end of life.
Together, they have collaborated both in developing themes for discussion panels and workshops and playing music together at the 2nd biennial Dreaming & Healing Conference in 2019. They then collaborated to facilitate a variety of deepening experiences with death poetry and death conversation at Ian's artists' retreat in central France. Their last collaboration of 2019 was around the Days of the Dead in San Miguel and Pátzcuaro, where Ian contributed to the Art of a Good Death workshops that Wilka developed and facilitated for the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation México Centro.
