    The hot ashes in the garbage can...I'm a firefighter and I can tell you that happens more than people know. Had one lady threw the ashes into a can in her garage and it lit up burning her million dollar house down, along with two brand new Porsche and a Mercedes. Oops.

      Several years ago my son threw away the burnt out sparklers in the wheelie bin. It was sweet of him to tidy up his waste, but the sparklers were still hot. Luckily I had to throw something in the bin not that much later, because some of the contents were already smouldering. I threw a bucket of water in, which extinguished it, but since it was the middle of winter, a proper one for a change, the bottom half of the bin couldn’t be emptied for weeks.

    9:43 My great-grandmother died many years before I was born. I have her cast iron skillet. My now ex husband thought it was "unsanitary" because of the way I cleaned it. I came home after working 12 hours to find it soaking in the sink with bleach with several well used SOS pads and a putty knife. "This old piece of crap won't come clean!" I wept. Told him he wiped out 80 years of seasoning with his stupidity. One of the many reasons he is an ex.

    5:02 Flashing back to the time one of my college roommates got toilet-hugging drunk and passed out on the bathroom floor. We threw a pillow in there for her and shut the door. The next morning she had a puked-on pillow and a raging hangover. Even with that, she tried washing her feather pillow and putting it through the dryer. While it didn’t disintegrate, the laundry room _did_ look like a duck had exploded in there due to the way those down feathers poke through a pillow and eventually work their way out!

      @@darlamccracken4062 Why? Let's see. Dyson wanted us to leave the EU, but moved his production to Singapore in order to still be able to sell his overpriced garish stuff to the EU without all the trade barriers he was aware would hinder other manufacturers in the UK.
      He then domiciled himself overseas in order not to pay tax in the UK. His vacuum cleaners suck but they don't suck efficiently, they throw a fit if asked to vacuum a bit of bird seed. There's a reason there are so many Dyson repair people all over the place, specialising in keeping the garish overpriced tat functioning.
      And then there's the fact that when Labour won the election and he was no longer protected by the corrupt Tories, he decided to make his UK workforce redundant.
      Lastly, it's overpriced garish plastic tat.
      I actually bought one once. I got rid. I need something which cleans my home. Then I bought a Numatic Henry. British made. Less than half the price of Dysons overpriced garish tat. It cleaned the cat litter trays, mouse and rat cages, spilled compost , parrot seed, bird cages and more, and lasted 18 years!!! Plus, it follows you and has a huge smile on its face.
      Then I'd like to point out that everything he sells is so expensive , coloured like something which is designed for a 3 year old. Perhaps that's a nod to those who pay over the odds for an inferior machine.
      In all, Dyson is a cad.
      Incidentally, when covid hit, the government panicked and went looking for a company which could produce ventilators. One company had by chance, already made designs, could get them into production immediately. Tories said "oh thank goodness.Get on and make them".
      Then Dyson called in favours . " Oi, I donated millions to the Tory party, *I* want that contracts".
      Guess what happened. The company which had been told to get producing, was then told "don't bother".
      Dyson had no designs ready to leap into production and although he was given the multi million quid contract, not a single Dyson ventilator was ever made.
      Mr Dyson sucks, buy his crappy, garish, plastic overprice vacuum cleaners don't suck as well.

      @@PhyllisGlassup2TheBrimI didn't know this stuff about the man. However, I am a housekeeper and about 15 years ago one of my clients bought a Dyson. She was so excited and wanted me to use it instead of the one I bring. It was garbage. It did okay at first, but after a month or so, I couldn't even get it to suck up the client's dog hair on a hard wood floor. I've never recommended them since. The client bought a different brand after that.

    Well, now I’m definitely stressed. For the first time ever, I’m using the self-cleaning feature on my oven after a family member’s pizza accidentally flipped upside down as he was placing it in the oven. Then I come upon this clip and I’m seeing all of these oven disasters.😱 Keeping my fingers crossed that everything turns out alright and I won’t have to deal with smashed glass along with the charred debris of baked on pizza toppings.🤞🫣

    • @mommy2libras
      @mommy2libras Před 2 dny

      You will have to deal with the ash. That's what "self cleaning" is- it super heats the over to burn anything in there off. I don't recommend doing it very often though because it will warp the insides of your oven eventually and one day you'll put some dish full of runny or wet stuff on the rack only to close the door and hear a crash because the rack will slip off its ledge because the oven is warped from super heating it too much. If it's just one thing that is spilled, it's better just to clean it right away.

    • @canuke
      @canuke Před 2 dny

      @@mommy2libras Yes, there certainly was a fair amount of ash to deal with, but at least it was fairly easy to wipe out. It turned out well in the end, without any mishaps. Phew!🥵 Thanks for the tip about not overdoing the frequency of the self-cleaning. I’d never seen mention of that before. I also have a steam-cleaning option, which I had previously used maybe three times, at most. I think I’ll stick with that in the future. Hopefully, the upside down pizza event was just a one-off.
