Watching these fellas on a saturday morning as an adult is the equivalent of me in the 90's as a kid watching dragon ball z on tv and eating my favorite cereal every saturday morning. Check out the space in an FRS/BRZ with a k24 swap, could almost fit a second engine! :p

You should NOT use that gear oil in the transmission drain it out and use oem, the older be series you can use standard oil buy per hondas recommendations use 10w30 not 75w90

The temp silver valve cover looks surprisingly good! Might have to rethink the black cover
PS - Sand the paint under your body ground ring terminals before you put them 10mm bolts in :)

For filling the transmission there is a bolt on top of the transmission that you can remove fill from there. It’s So much easier

Budget means staying within a price. Cheap on the other hand would certainly be not what we are building.

That valve cover sneak was great
You need the Knuconceptz Ultimate Battery terminal. It has a post option for the OEM connection. and also built in distro block.
The squeeze packet is nice. Used it for the rear diff on my frontier.

isn't 75w90 the wrong fluid for honda transaxles? they normally take honda MTF or just 10w30 depending on the year

I think that fluid is way to thick for that transaxle considering how thin honda fluid is.
It is, it should be 75W80 MTF GL4 spec. I hear that a blend of 50% Torco MTF & 50% Torco RTF (racing transmission fluid) is good for track cars using a stock (or stockish, e.g., with hardened gears) Honda transmission, though I haven't tried it yet. Plain Torco MTF seemed to work just as well as Honda MTF in my experience, though preference is to use the OEM stuff. 🙂
It should be 5w30 or 10w30 or honda mtf. Gear oil will ruin this transmission
These ek hatchbacks are turning rare. I used to see them alot back then. Not no more. Luckily I still have mine under construction.

Canada's 6th gen Si-R is basically the same car as the US's Si, chassis code EM1; in Canada you got anti-lock brakes, something we didn't get in the states.
I'm starting to understand why K swaps are so expensive. The parts from K tune look amazing, and make things go smoothly. But boy, so much of it is overbuilt (which I get there is still a market for) and you just get nickel and dimed to death with all the components you need that are each individually overbuilt which are priced accordingly.
You can get a swap going for cheaper 100% if you want I've seen people get them running for 3k. I myself am 8k in the hole and still have things I want to get(car has everything to run) lol.
You don't need all of those ktuned parts for a swap though

You can stick with a lot more OEM parts than what PT is using! Like OEM shifter, OEM IACV etc.
this is a swap with additional parts you dont need but it makes it look proper

this is awesome though im hoping we get to see when you get the cv joints attached and steering and so on ( planning to try two Honda k20s on third gen Camaro though iv never done anything or anything mechanical work with engines and such though im learning with friends who do or certified)
Just thinking today. I am going to do oil changes on all my five cars today and it’s in my five cars in my cars and my daughters cars and I’m just gonna set a date and do them all one time because I have not been keeping track of when they are due thanks for the reminder .oil changes all around tomorrow.

The header you used was not the $285 USD header from ktuned. For the fuse box wires, just cut them to size and drill the holes out. They will work in the integra/eg/ek fuse box just fine.

but before we filled the gearbox with oil simply by unscrewing the bolt at the top or the shift cover. You don't need to unscrew the bottom bolt. the fact is that there is a regular amount of fluid in the gearbox and adding more by 100-150 grams the box feels better. and in general it seemed that it works better on the original liquid.

Pete, what product / technique do you use for cable crimping / joining? Looks like you're clamping something then heat shrinking over? Have a bunch of audio to install in my 911 and your technique looks slick.
If I’m not mistaken that’s not a OEM oil cap which is why it might not tighten right

On such a nice build, the battery should be located in the trunk. It could not be mounted in a worse location for a front drive car that is going to the track.

Save a hundred bucks by using the parts car battery. Spends a heap more on K-Tuned parts.
OEM Parts for the win.... and cheaper. Don't get me wrong but the ktuned parts look nice and make it easier but for those on a budget (ironic K series budget) Got mine K24a2 running for aobut 4k with AC, PS, and Cruise control
