Ms. Routledge won a Tony for her performance. In a show that ran for 30 odd performances. Wish I could have seen this.

How wonderful to hear this again. I heard it last 44 years ago when I saw the play. I was 14 and was sent with two other students to interview Mr. Vincent Price for our school yearbook. We interviewed in his dressing room, then he gave us all a tour of the backstage...we could see patrons enter the theatre. I was wide-eyed and thought it was the best thing ever. My teacher said it was a lousy play (it closed after just 31 performances) but again, I was star struck. Thanks for putting up the song

Wow, I wish I was there for its only production at the former Adelphi theater (home to The Honeymooners). The production was sadly very badly panned. I would have loved it.

Seriously though In the 60's it was not unusual to see Actors one would not think of in a Broadway Musical - in a Broadway Musical. Lucille Ball, Robert Ryan, Bette Davis, Vincent Price, Maureen O'Hara, Elliot Gould, Alan Alda the list goes on.
