The prism of rainbow in her fro was everything
+Roshawn Gillan yes it was magic!
wasn't it..? she is a sun goddess!
She's one of those people that you can just tell is an amazing person 😊
this represents the existence of so many black girls.
+jmigirl The points she touched on at 1:35, 2:05, 2:24, 3:23, 4:25 (to name a few) directly paralleled with things in my own life and in the lives of many of my friends who happen to be black women as well.
JoyceMD my own experience too...
True indeed.
Self loathing and hating. That's what this video represents. There's nothing positive about it.

When she said "i am amazing" a rainbow was shining on her hair. Beautiful
I saw that...It was too perfect.
Kismet
You Dah man dude !!!

This series makes me proud to be a woman and seriously so happy and confident in myself
Omg me too. I've always felt so insecure because i am a size 6. People keep rudely comenting on how skinny i am. I never felt woman enough because of being a size 6. Asking me if i eat at all etc. However, this series made me confident. It has opened my eyes in so many ways. I am never apologizing for my genetic formation.
Good lord she's beautiful 😍, I had to watch it twice because I kept staring at her and forgetting to listen 😂
+ricecristi Haha me too! She seems like such a radiant being. :)
yesssss 😍
+ricecristi me2
yes, she is quite charming wirh a great sense of humor
OMG ME TOO!!!
also her skin is breathtaking
Drop dead gorgeous
'You're going to pull through. You're going to just bloom in ways you can't even imagine.'
Oh, completely. Amazing! :D
Kelly-Ann Maddox so cool to find your comment..
She's so fucking beautiful and her accent is so cute... I adore her!
1. She gas a British French accent that almost sounds Jamaican
2. Her experiences remind me so much of my life, but it makes me sad that women a continent away face this same bs
3. I love everything she says about her husband and I'm glad she learned to value herself and find someone who values her 💖
What an absolute ray of sunshine. It's so inspiring that despite being put down and judged just for being who she is, she still stands tall and smiles bright. Lovely, lovely person.
Wow how she explain the feeling of being black and french is so spot on. Makes me sad :(.
This woman is stunning! She's gorgeous on the inside and out! The way that her face lights up when she talks about her husband is so beautiful! The world would be a better place with more women like her!
we could certainly use more men like that too, none of it is limited to gender or sexuality
love the shot with the rainbow reflected on her
She is uniquely beautiful. Funny, how when we grow up, we want to look like everyone else, but when we get older (if we are lucky), we fight fiercely to be unique. I grew up TALL (6ft 2) and I always wanted be like the "short" girls. It was not until I was stalked to be a runway model and chased by every male within an inch of me did I finally realize that I was this stunning giant beauty. An Amazon woman! While over 40 now, I am still regal, stunning, and running with the wolves and ever so grateful that I do not look like everyone else. My point? Embrace every inch of who you are!
+Raw LawGirl I love the way you put your thoughts into words. Every thing you said made sence. I love nature, and I love being around the things that never intended to be something else, A tree is a tree, yet it gives life to so many other creatures just by being itself. I am me, and I want to live my life so that I can help others embrace theirs.
Her skin is gLOWING 🙌🏾💅🏾
Everyone is talking about how beautiful she is and I'm here like, "That voice though!"😍

Some of her experiences made me cringe and I'm American. Thank goodness she didn't let them steal her light.
Cloe Haynes I’m know I’m late but I just found this video and I couldn’t believe some of the things she said wow awful
Damn...Freddie is just telling it like it is! Alot of black women can relate to her story.
Love this woman! Her sense of style, her personality.....she is wonderful!
Each layer she took off I was like "yes, yes" I love her style!! The fur coat, then the jean jacket, then the overalls...she is magnificent!!
Vegan Junky yassss!
First of all, I think she is stunning. Absolutely divine both INSIDE and OUT. Second, I totally connected with her story. Kudos!
With every layer that she took off it just kept getting better and better. And when I saw her girl power tee I was sold. Her style is superb and it's so her from within. Beautiful soul, beautiful woman ❤️
The shot of the rainbow in her hair at 8:56 was so perfect!
RIGHT?! 😍
I'm born in France too and I have lived everything she tells.
shes cute. Her skin is amazing, literally glows.
When you can still crack as many smiles as you often do, you are winning at life.
Meeting her soon and I'm so excited to feel her energy in person, love you Freddie!! ❤️
I follow her on IG and this makes me love her even more. If you're reading this Freddie, thanks for your openness. I've experienced similar although not as devastating things in America and it is true, we bloom. You are woman, black and a complete individual all at the same time. Thanks for sharing a bit of yourself with us :)
Is her husband black? Out of curiosity
I said the same thing ? Ummmmm white men love beautiful dark skin women.
"I've never thought that you were not to relax your hair" this resonates with me so deeply.
+Haja Sillah me2 i was always relaxing my hair.....not anymoreand it feels amazing
+Wabo Motiki Whoo high-five! It's so interesting how I didn't even know the true texture of my hair until last November 😂
Haja Sillah team natural
Ma soeur camerounaise. I totally relate to all her stories on the experience of being black, of being a black woman. there's a sense of being constantly en garde, ready to explain your humanity because there's always someone ready to make you feel less than. the best thing I learned is to not go where I'm not wanted. the second I feel someone being condescending to me, I either tune them out emotionally, or cut them out of my life. I prioritize my well-being above all else
I love her personality and style. She's unashamedly herself which I love.
she made my day so much brighter :) what a beautiful soul
The African diaspora experience especially in a homogeneous setting is a hard one all around the world. Thank you for sharing your story :)
My kindergarten son had to experience your school story a few months ago (example: kids don't want to play with him they tell him only white skin can play...or that he's going to get shot like mlk), so experiences like that are unfortunately continual well into the future.
+justmejr315 that it heartbreaking... i had similar experiences. Though much less explicit. I'm mixed and not very dark but people could still tell i was different. such a young child should not experience that #blacklivesmatter
+V1sual3y3z yeah, my sons complexion is about Obama's shade or a little lighter. But he's the only black boy in his class...in all of the other kindergarten class. So he's having to learn all this life lessons about racism so early. It's heartbreaking no matter how resilient children can be.
OH MY GOSH!!!! Shot like MLK???? THEY ARE IN KINDERGARTEN DOING THIS AND SAYING SUCH FILTH???? DAAAAMMMMMNNNNNNN. SMH. KEEP HIM LOVED PLEASE
usa will never change if kindergarten talks like this
white is not right
and BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL all shades of it
people
She has the most beautiful smile and glowing skin...and a wonderful personality to match :)
Freddie, you're so enchanting and warm. I can't believe some of the things people said to you. You seem like a ball of sunshine
This woman speaks the damn truth! That diaspora life is not easy all the time, but the lessons you learn are evident in that big smile. She has grown from it, learned about herself and knows herself inside out. Keep doing you Freddie!
race and fashion and representation and prejudice as eloquently wrapped in a small segment and discussed by beautiful blogger Freddie. I love her so much. She speaks my story in so many ways. PLEASE MENTOR ME FREDDIE AND COACH ME INTO A COOLER VERSION OF MYSELF.
I just want to be her friend please!! She's so real and beautiful

Shannon Sunshine I agree
Freddie's personality(ies?) is(are?) contagious! What a lovely human!
It's unusual for me to stay captivated with a video for the whole thing (short attention span)...but i couldn't seem to look away. Absolutely stunning inside and out!
HER ENERGY
I love everything about her!!!
This sounds so cheesy, but I also love how at 8:56 the light makes a rainbow on her hair and face! The colours reflect her colourful personality and style (:
This may have been the best thing I have ever seen. Freddie its so funny how we think we go through these things alone, but everything you said about your childhood echo'd mine.
Katy Checkley yup it's cool that so many people relate
"I'm amazing!! I can't believe I missed that for so many years!" I feel exactly the same.

Great story.. I grew up in London, luckily when I was younger despite not fitting stereotypes I was surrounded by blacks in secondary school & I never faced racism & had a great time. Uni is quite whitewashed but I have such a strong knowledge of self, I'm very carefree atm
sweet baby Jesus Christ of Nazareth. she is gorgeous.
She's so beautiful! I loovvve her spirit!
Her energy is just.... I have chills! Her smile and the intensely active way she moved around and how confident she was..... just absolutely contagious and beautiful. The goof is awesome! :D

This is the story of my life, it made me so emotional
she's so amazing...I cried...I just love that she knows how special she is
What a shining soul this woman has! Her beauty just lights the room. It's amazing that her smile shines through despite some of the painful things she is saying. She is telling the story of so many black women!
Her life so parallels mine: Before I interacted with a harshness of society's "definitions", I just knew myself as me, period. But then all my "other-nesses" were pointed out to me and ridiculed and teased, and my hair and blackness then turned into these "burdens" that I wanted removed.... Thank you Freddie for sharing your story. *hug*
I could relate to almost every single thing in this video! It felt like she was my future self speaking to me. This was so inspiring and uplifting. I had to pause a few times to wipe some tears away. She gave me so much hope. Thank you, StyleLikeU. Thank you, Freddie. I will remember this video forever.

I just want to say that Freddie is STUNNING! Her skin is BEAUTIFUL!!!! The video heart my heart! Thank God for her husband. I feel like I've experienced some of the things she's experienced in life as a dark skinned girl but never on that level. #fixitjesus

Yet again another beautiful portrait of a beautiful woman. Thank you.
Amazing! Thanks for this video. I related to so much of what she said. Especially the racism she faced throughout her education.
I love her style, so bright and happy and positive. Considering some of her negative stories, it's so inspiring to see her be such a joyful person.
Gosh this girl is awesome, her positive attitude just radiates happiness! :)
These episodes always make me well up with happy tears! Freddie is so lovely, inside and out. She just radiates warmth
I love this channel . I get to listen to so many different stories of people's struggles and how the things that they are confident about NOW, really played into their past. I just love being able to be aware of how people can experience different hardships and end up in the same wonderful place. I love being amazed and I love relating to them . this channel is everything
