It's so sad to the Bakers just wanted to help and became monsters trapped in their bodies...well cept for Lucas...he was a baddie all along...
I think Lucas should still be seen as innocent even though he is clearly dangerous and psychotic no doubt but I think even without the mold mutimicy effecting him he was still not in any condition to chose how his brain functioned beyond the decision to make physical reactions to what his own brain thinks of as necessary

@FemboiTwinkle141 Lucas murdered one of his own classmates. I get that he was a bully, but even bullies have personal problems that causes them to tick and can sometimes be innocent deep down if you help them overcome their personal issues.
I feel so bad for Clancy. Like, dude went through all that and STILL dies. If there's an afterlife, I would be looking down mad.

The horror brought back in this game is amazing even the one moment from the DLC where Evie says “they’re mine now” and the lights cut out is top tier
Resident evil 7, 4, 2RE, and 1HD are close to flawless in my opinion.

Re7 is the first resident evil game I’ve ever played and just beat it. While it certainly was good, it wasn’t perfect. I’d say more like an 8/10. Final boss fight was disappointing, some sections I’m pretty sure I cheesed it a bit because it didn’t feel like i was doing it the way I was supposed to so I could get past that section, and some of the puzzles were kinda dumb (like not given adequate clues or being way too easy)
@@kyzyl4915 I don’t like any puzzles in any resident evil. I swear I only solve them by luck because I’m so uninterested. I’m more into you know, the actual horror aspect. Walking around the police station while trying to survive was great, I don’t understand why the puzzles are there. In this one too, going through the house is great, then we get to the puzzle part and I pretty much zone out.
You make some of, if not the best explained videos on youtube! I've been binging them since I saw your Until Dawn and Dark Pictures Anthology vids. Your style is both straight to the point and wonderfully elaborate. It gets the story across, shares the depth of the lore, and provides a sample of the gameplay experience. Sub'd!
Really love how quickly but clearly you tie everything together. I wasn't even aware some of this extra content existed, so it's definitely helped me appreciate this and VIII more!
One thing I don't still don't get is how Mia got the job to escort Evelyn in the first place. Like was she an ex-soldier before hooking up with Ethan or something?
Looked it up, she was dating Ether first, then became a researcher for the connections years later.
It's because Evie viewed her as her mother so was the only one she would be docile around iir . Idk I could be talking out my ass though but I thought i remember hearing that somewhere

My favourite of the resident evils.. finished it many times and never had a great grasp of the story... This was PERFECT including the DLC and in chronological order, absolutely fantastic video and you made my favourite horror game somehow even better!!

The first time I played this game, I couldn't complete it. Played it on VR, then completed it. The only hardest and scariest part was being on the ship.
I give you credit if that was the only scary part. Especially in VR 😅

Great explanation and stiching it all into a linear timeline. One thing I'm missing is how the mould would regenerate them after death. Unless they infact were just fragments of Ethan's imagination.
dont know what could happen in resident evil 8 but if something connects to resident evil 7 its going to be lit and a good connection

love this video. very detailed. was the person who escaped through the attic but had LSD on them who you play as in the beginning hour demo? i don’t remember that being anywhere else in the game and i am a very obsessed re7 fan who has played millions of times and watched all lore videos like 20 times

Yeah the daughters DLC I believe.
I played almost every RE game until RE 6. Since I didn't play 7 or Village I wanted to understand the lore.
Even thought your video is well made and very clear, I still don't understand it thought. In particular I don't get the connection to RE 5. But it's ok, maybe watching Village's lore I will understand it better.
the guy with the lsd how did he manage to escape is interesting we never knew his face rip to clancy i wanted clancy and ethan to team up against the bakers but this is so sad for clancy i love that guy
Resident Evil's "virus" just keeps getting more and more ludicrous XD
It's not really a "virus" anymore. Not like T-Virus or G-Virus. Those were synthesised in a lab from some exotic African plants. You can see them stored in vials, and injected or inhaled to mutate the human body. The mold is more of a fungal organism that attacks or infects the body. It already existed in nature, and the corporations just found a way to weaponize it. At least that's how I understand it. RE is notorious for having convoluted storylines, so I could be way off.

where do you see the info for the man who escaped the bakers house and had lsd in game?
It's in the demo 'the beginning hour'. if you get the true ending and don't get attacked by molded and escape via the attic, it says that the protagonist escaped, but the police found LSD in his possession.

There's something I don't get, when you find Ethan at the bottom of the boat there is a cutscene of him talking to Jack Baker. When could this have happened? He seems to be cured of the virus but in the dlc 'end of Zoe' he is evil again?
No, so, 1. Mia sent the email the night before Ethan arrived at the mansion. She sent a video from the tanker, but was presumed dead, as he never heard from her again until she sent the email. 2. Jack is able to communicate with Ethan through the mold. For some reason, the mold infects people but there’s obviously some part of that person trapped inside the mold. That’s why Jack said to Ethan, ‘free my family’ so they could escape the mold

Yeah kind of, Mia sent it under the influence of the mold. Evie was desperate for Ethan to be her dad and Mia to be her mum. That’s why at one point, we hear Jack saying he wants to kill Ethan, because he’s jealous of the fact Evie wants Ethan as a father and not him

Wait thought Mia was part of the baker family as in his parents are Jack and Margret Baker. She calls Jack “daddy” as in her father in game 🤷♀️

I don’t understand why people like Mia. She was smuggling a bio weapon, tried to kill Ethan, and basically started this whole thing for Ethan by being involved with the bio weapon industry. Zoey however does nothing but help Ethan and is basically tossed aside by the story because “he came for Mia” like that excuses her being the whole reason he’s in this situation in the first place.

Funny that. Now that they added 3rd person view to RE8 with the DLC, people are complaining that it's not as scary as 1st person.

They’re hallucinations tho.. not technically supernatural since they’re natural occurrences that can happen to normal people
@@phoebechandler8932 I'm not sure he watched the entire video or even played the game, if that's the conclusion he came to. There's about as much supernatural in this game, as there is in RE4. In fact I'd say a stone statue the size of a building coming to life and going for a stroll is more supernatural than a fungal organism that infects and mutates people.
