Do you think Ethan resurrected himself through sheer force of will, and woke up in the duke's carriage because the Duke collects the remains of powerful "creatures"
Wow that's an interesting theory, I just stupidly assumed he simply "didn't expire" like all those other times. I felt it was more like a mental thing for him, that having his heart ripped out was the "oh... well that one's supposed to be a bit nastier than just losing a few limbs huh, guess I should probably die now. Well $h!t, Rose, I'm sorry honey." And then like Evelyn accidentally pissed him off so much that he bounced back? I'm babbling sorry. Great thinking outside the box, be safe :)
He had regenerative powers so he could have survived the heart rip and had to wait for a full repair or probably the heart was just replaced with mold but willpower does have a role to play because after saving his daughter, his body starts crumbling.
That's my explanation now, Ethan was such a Badass that he decided that he wasn't dying until he got his daughter back!

He was molded. We have seen all molded have different forms after apparently 'dieing' jack gets a chainsaw through the face and shoot his own head off and comes back. Brain or heart what does it matter? Then of course the fact Ethan was already dead in dulvey as explained by Evelyn. So even in the first game Ethan already came back to life which is the version we see in village.
Umm Mia knew Ethan was mold/ dead and conceived a child with him……. And no one is talking about this???

I think what makes this game more interesting is how this village and Mother Miranda is practically the true origins of the Umbrella company and their experimentation. She inspired Spencer with her research so he would do his own research. Her mold was also used to perfect the different viruses that created this whole deal
They didn't use her mold to create the different viruses, those actually originated from the Progenitor virus that Spencer found in Africa. Her mold though was used by The Connections to create Eveline. Completely unrelated to both is the Plaga parasite that was discovered by the Los Illuminados cult in Spain.

Yeah, it was a real “jump the shark” moment. They took away the mystery from Spencer and Unbrella.

@@neurohack9038 wdym it was one of the greatest reveal in the entire series making it so that resident evil 7 and village which isnt the typical resident evil formula still have a connection to the entire series and not just cameos from chris redfield
there also the fact that Heisenberg wears around his neck a dog tag typically worn by German Wehrmacht soldiers during WWII(seen at 21:02) . Seems like Mother Maranda was in cahoots with a certain failed Austrian Painter and Heisenberg was a little giftwrapped present sent to war. As for Heisenberg’s creations themselves, they are all baptized with warlike intentions. “Soldat” is the German for “Soldier”, “Panzer” the German for “Tank,” and even “Sturm” means both “Storm” and “Assault. makes me think that Heisenberg was the "Victor Frankenstein" of the German Wehrmacht in the 40s.
Seeing how Miranda was already around during the times of the spanish plague, it is no surprise that her adoptive 'children' have a similar high age.
It may be that he was simply related to a German soldier, for example his father may have been one or it could be some kind of heirloom
I’m blown away by how similar Heisenbergs creations are to the movie Frankenstein’s Army (An underrated horror movie imo).
That movie is about what you just described here kinda.

Another brilliant story explained, these must take ages. I'm wondering if Zoey will be in dlc or the next Resident Evil, just a thought. Btw did you know the largest living organism in the world is the honey mushroom in Oregon, over 2 miles big connecting under the ground and growing, making new connections when needed. Fascinating stuff.

I still have some questions left unanswered:
1. What is the origin of the those gaint structures, umbrella symbol, gaint chalice found in the stronghold? Who or what built those structures and mechanisms?
2. If ethan was dead and molded upon entry to baker mansion, why couldn't eveline control him as she controlled others and why didnt ethan show any mutations as other molded?
Well, the village was founded by the 4 kings, or families, so I'm assuming they built them. Because we don't even know how old the mold is and how long it's been there, it's hard to tell where all that came from too, as I don't think the game really tells us (I could be wrong, but I didn't find anything)
In response to your second question, I'm not sure, but the only thing is can think, is that when Ethan arrived at the Dulvey Estate, Eveline was old AF, so she was weaker.
what if eveline was controlling him all along? while playing illusions in his head that he is fighting her or the bakers, while in reality she is just playing tricks on him, after all RE7 takes places in this abandoned house while we fight mold and the dead bakers, in the end it could be zoe bakers interuption of eveline's control of ethan that made him able to kill her, that's why he is only able to talk to her over the phone that rings, simulating that zoe talks to ethan through a mind connection
eveline does confront ethan asking him why he did not realise earlier that he was dead all along

@@GamingHarryYT in the game there’s a note you can find by umbrella’s creator I think. Chris is the only one who can find it
They talk about how it slowly takes over your body and mind through doctors notes and such about the bakers and considering he just got infected the day prior it makes sense especially when you consider his level of regeneration compared to the bakers. Mia and zoe look fine which is somewhat confusing but i guess it could be chalked up to age and or gender.
As Myself who is a romanian person I gotta say the game is very very accurate to romanian culture especially the castle which they took very good care of and it is also a coincedence or just how they based it but dracula was a vampire and dimitrescu is one too and the way they pronounce ciorba de legume is incorrect but everything is at its pinnacle of quality and also the way u said the french version of 'Cadou' was more accurate than how u said it first.
I do like that it's basically confirmed that the guy walking in the distance is basically our main man Ethan himself.
Although the father's story is "done", I do think we will get to see more of that stubborn son of a gun. Probably in the upcoming DLC

Half the game is done.
Chris wouldnt let him help. So he would prob journey on his own any ways.
Yea as much as that make sense.
Ethan might have gotten military training aka survival training from Chris. That would be the reason he didn’t want Ethan to know or help.
The whole I taught you everything you know. But I didn’t teach you everything I know scenario.
Ethan was half ass taught to survive without the need for Chris help.
But when it went above what Ethan actually knows that’s when Chris stepped in and to Ethan shut up listen and don’t do anything stupid that could get you killed.
Not only that... Why transport the baby with the "dead" doppelganger mother in the same vehicle?! (Not to mention going towards their damn castle. Go the other route... hell, helicopter the child.)
@@yharnamiyhill787 Research on mirandas corpse im guessing. As for why no helicopter Im guessing to stay off bsaa radar since they split off. Why so close to the castle where ever they were was near enough that the wine sold by Lady d could be found in thier area. So it might have been the only back road near by to where they needed to go.
its stated in the game chris wasnt sure if mirandas influence was affecting ethan or not so he didnt tell him

Ethan hadn't died due to the mold dying, it was due to his body suffering to much damage, and unlike Jack, Ethan needed his limbs to regenerate, which is why his fingers didn't come back, and when Miranda destroyed his heart, he was doomed to die

Two things:
The first is that i am very sad for Ethans death. I wanted to continue playing with Ethan. He had so much character and was (sometimes) funny. So sad that he has to die.
The second thing,related to the first,is a question: because rose got fused with the mold by mother Miranda,shouldn't she still have it? And if she has,does that mean that Ethan could still be alive ?
She wasn't fused with the mold, she is a born mold mutated baby. That's why Miranda referred to her as a better version of Eveline. She is a natural version of her.

I lived the story of the game, I loved the look of it. I was so excited for the series, but I coukdnt watch the old looking version, I knew it just wouldn't capture my attention in that style. Glad to hear it simplified, thank you.
If everything made of Mold died when Miranda died, why didn't Rose die?
Because she is from another strand of mold I do believe. It could also be because instead of being infected with the mold she was born with it. Mia doesn’t die from Miranda dying though so maybe not everybody with mold died. It’s possible that only people who were super infected (Lycans) were the ones to die.
I believe it’s because it’s not the mold keeping her alive. Ethan, and the monsters seem to be still around because of the regeneration abilities. With the “heart” stopped the rest die. But Rose is alive AND mold
My favorite theory about the Duke is he is the actual personification of the mold, not Miranda.

You know what I wanna read? A novel about the architects and craftsmen that build these kind of places in all these movies Artists never get the credit they deserve.

Given the fate of the one architect whom we do get to hear about, and his family, I doubt a creative team working on this IP would focus much on giving credit. If the Trevors' is the kind of story Resident Evil had to tell about the artist behind the design of the Spencer Mansion, anonymity might not be such a bad alternative 🥺

I didn't even think about Etan essentially finally "dying" connected to the actual root dying...I thought he just received so much damage his regeneration wouldn't work, just like bosses and stuff after so much damage such as Mr.X and Nemesis but the molds a hive mind. I feel dumb now lol.
I like to think that the mold isn’t evil and is just a very weird organism that may even be benevolent but then got corrupted by Moranda
Something I’ve noticed is that the model of baby Rose looks a lot like the model of The Duke. At least in the face region. This might be a coincidence and a way to reuse the model. Or is there another connection… I guess we’ll see in the next dlc or game.
If Heisenberg made ethan cook meth I’d have rated this game higher
Just finished playing this for the first time, was really enjoyable!! To me the Cadou looks like a hybrid of the mold and las plagas. Is it possible that’s how Miranda got to create the Cadou? Especially as some of her creations have the tentacles features!

Search it and you'll find out. They were just a bunch of parasites infected with mold, barely anything to do with Las Plagas although that remains to be seen.
I'm really curious where the DLC will develop around. The origin stories of the 4 lords? Miranda in the 1910's? Chris in the Eastern European branch of the BSAA unraveling a corruption plot between the BSAA and the connections? There is way more backstory to this game then most people think.
Perhaps none. It's possible they want to keep it subtle till the next game which may be Rose's story.
I definitely feel like Zoe is gonna play an integral part in the next Resident Evil game.

Dimitrescu is also a surname similar to Sardinian's ones (a island region of Italy), which make sense because around 1400 sardinia's pirates made their way all to Romania creating a small reign there.
I would rather they do a Chris game where he goes to the BSA Europe headquarters and just, you know, punches some European boulders, before a game with the daughter. Even if she ages faster and her fame isn't that far ahead in time, I'd rather the next game be a direct set of events from Village.
Say, Chris goes to the BSA, Mia and baby in tow. While Chris is being led on a wild goose chase they kidnap the baby. Chris and Mia (A and B playthrough) then have to get the baby back while having a tonne of monsters thrown at them.
You have bits in the facility. There's probably a mansion on top. You can even have some of the surrounding village/town/city of whatever European country the BSA headquarters are in. (It's in the UK, yay). Cockneys vs Zombies 2.
Well RE9 will be Rose, maybe they can tie in the revelations series even more into the main plot, by making what happens between Chris and the BSA Europe HQ as the event of a RE revelations 3

Whether she does or not, depends on your interpretation but I think she does. I mean, how is she then able to use her doll like a puppet during the council even though the doll isn't a puppet.

In miranda's lab there's a note about Beneviento that states that "she split her cadou between herself and her dolls in order to control them"

If you think abt it the village part of this game is very similar to RE4 like how the Lychens disperse with the bell just like the Ganados in RE4

good question, probably gotten used to it, or visiting a lot of therapy.
Resident evil game set in the origins in that "symbol" would be a cool concept and the merchants from 4 and 8 would be revealed to be an assassin's creed style organization.
I like how other videos say "we don't know much about the Connections", meanwhile Harry is like "The Connections is a criminal organization run by Brandon Baily and they sell bioweapons. Who's Brandon Bailey? He worked for Umbrella." 😂
He is a good researcher. And that's a great thing about games like these. They give a ton of information in their specific games that one way or another may play a role in a game of the same franchise. A more complex way of keeping it canon and connected.
But who is the man that like was walking towards the car i think that that could be someone special or just a randome dude and i think the car stops to like maybe to pick him up it could be chris beacause in the concept arc menu theres another model with chris having a normal outfit maybe he was coming with rose to the funeral but still unknown maybe that was leon of all sakes.
Can we get the next game to be Chris Redfield calling Leon to help him clean up BSAA Europe?

Late, but... my prediction/theory?
A mishmash of 4 and 5, sprinkles of 1 and 2 remakes, a touch of 7 and 8, resembling something we know and love as fans... yet still not entirely new.
(Extremely short and vague, because a novel could be written about the companies of this series, and the controversial tactics they have used.)
The only name not on that list is the uncle joe unless he went by a different name or was like the rest of resident evil 7 for a time where they were all one off characters and someone forgot to add his name to the list.
I wonder if there's some sort of connection between Eva and Evelyn? Like with the moldy genetic memory
Could be that blue umbrella was formed by the connections as infiltration and informed mother miranda about rose and purposely relocated the winters there

This video is so well made and gives us all the backstory we needed. Even if I paid the utmost attention I would still be missing some stuff seeing how complicated the story gets.
One small pointer I would give though is to pay attention to the name of Lady Dimitrescu. It is pronounced dimi-tres-ku with a heavy and prominent U sound at the end, the U is not silent nor does the name stop at the letter k.
Since it is a Romanian name please make sure to pronounce it correctly, when a name is fictional it is not a big deal but this is taken from an existing language.
(Btw, I am Greek and I happen to have Romanian friends who confirmed this is the correct way to say it. I am not being like this because I would love nothing more than to enrage people lol)

At one point, I was looking through the concept art that Ada Wong was going to be in RE8 dressed as a plague doctor, but they scaped the idea because it stated that it would spoil the overall plot as far as I remember.
It stated that adding Ada to this would interfere with the story of RE8 and layer games.
