So I'm a big Honda guy been building them since the early 2000s built over 30 of them BUT LET ME SAY THIS......
I bought a 04 Mitsubishi lancer Ralliart sedan 5 speed manual.... AND HOLY S***
This car really surprised me to be honest with you how it gets the Evo shifter the Evo 7 GTA seats lower stiffer suspension from the factory with the strut bars and sway bars the bigger 2.4 engine and the short gear ratios compared to the crappy OZ rally models
I've done cold air intake
4-1 header no cat anymore
full 2.5 inch exhaust
ported and polished intake manifold bigger V6 eclipse throttle body
RRM cam
stage 2 clutch lighter flywheel
eclipse transmission swap with the better final drive
custom tune
AND WOW.... This thing is a very fun daily driver and I have been completely surprised by The cars I'm able to keep up with or beat in this thing and most people underestimate it because they always think it's the crappy OZ rally model that you see in this generation all the time that is nothing but a looks package on the outside unlike the Ralliart that actually gets the performance to back it up and it's a pretty Torquey little motor!!!!! And after doing all the maintenance top to bottom and adding some coilovers and a thicker sway bar this thing is fun on twisty backroads or even every once in awhile those random red light to red light races just to surprise the person next to me that thinks it's another typical slow lancer
I even got the rare son and sound package that came with the sunroof and subwoofer and when the sunroof THEY DO GIVE YOU a front dome light and map light where yours does not have one
But it sacrifices not having a dome light in the middle of the ceiling ((not sure which is better really))
But man I wish they would have made the wagon in a 5-speed I really do because I think that would have been the icing on the cake since we didn't get the Evo version of the wagon here in the United States I feel like the least they could have did was give us the option for automatic or manual of the ralliart wagon 🤷
We both share the same feeling, I’ve driven a lot of fast Hondas.
This thing surprised me in a very good way.
I’m the original owner of a 04 Raliart sport back with 80,000 miles on it. Still drives great. Pearl white with the black interior.
Original owner 04 black 101000 mile daily driver. 17" OZ wheels, Pioneer 9" digital media receiver with Sony ES component speakers front, Infinity Basslink underseat sub and led headlight assemblies. Great ride, brought both our babies home from the hospital with it. Youngest daughter passed her drivers license test with it.
I live in Bulgaria, Europe, and I have the same wagon, but its 2005, and it's a 4G63 non turbo, 135 h.p. sporty suspension, punchy engine, and it's a manual. You can see it in some of my videos, it is black. I love it! 😊😊
Great little things!! I love it.
I will check it out!!
I appreciate you watching and sharing your story.
@@VikingsGarage Always welcome! Would love to see more Lancer content. 😁😊🙏
just bought a ralliart wagon all the way in arizona, driving from vegas, this is officially my 4th ralliart i’ve owned and im more excited daily driving the wagon ralliart than a 4b11t ralliart 👍👍 love this rare wagon so much
anyone manual swap a sedan ralliart transmission into a wagon? ive dropped the engine before but id assume the wiring harnesses would change because transmission speed sensors used on an automatic and TCM Transmission Control Module?
Very interesting. I like those kinds of videos. I appreciate all the details and information on these lesser known vehicles.
🤘🏻 You never see these on the road at all.
your wagon looks great ! mine is all 100% stock .... lightning yellow with tinted windows yeah man
Very cool color!
@@VikingsGaragemine is yellow too. But you’re wrong about them coming in only automatic. I’ve had my since new bought in 2004 and it’s a 5 speed manual
I’m not an expert on it clearly 🤷🏼♂️
I have the 2004 lancer ralliart 2.4 sedan in 5 speed and is a blast to drive mint condition no rust and yes I agree with you had the wagon come in a 5 speed manual it would have sold a lot better
🤷🏼♂️
Love quirky cars. Thanks for the tour Mr. Viking!
Your very welcome!! This one was quirky indeed.
I have the diamond pearl white color on mine. Love the thing to death. Drives great even in minnesota
That’s awesome!! Strong and peppy little 4-cylinder. I was pleasantly impressed.
These are rare, only sold 3000 or something in America. Great find
💯
I just purchased mine today for $2500.
Those seats are most certainly NOT from a Lancer Evolution GT-A wagon. The GT-A has Recaro seats up front with the same bottom squab as the USDM Evo 9 (not to high sided) and both front and rear seats are trimmed in alcantara with imitation leather accents.
I had a baby blue one. Had to sell it and it bursted into flames on the other owner lol
I believe that. 😅
Any chance you can find all the parts that were used on that car? Im trying to do a similar build
what brand coilovers did this wagon have installed? also what was the red subframe brace installed on the underbody?
I have no idea Sir, 🤷🏼♂️
What brand are the trunk rear sway support or bar? Thanks
Hey my girlfriend bought this car 🙏
She sure did, you guys got a nice one there. Wishing you the best of luck!
my sportback ralliart i need a rear brake line for driver side ? factory discontinued ? help me out ? its my daily not the flexible hoses
You will need to make your own line, it’s really not that hard.
Uh they came in 5 speed. I’ve got one had it since new. I got it with a 5 speed from Mitsubishi
Not in America with RA trim
I watched this one out of loyalty 😂. That car is beyond ugly to me. Have a great one!
🙏🏻
I do appreciate you tuning in!! 🤘🏻
