  • I experienced ZERO pain giving birth.
One of the biggest lies society tells us that you can’t have an #unmedicatedbirth without some pain.
I understand that many women may never experience birth like this and it makes me sad.
Birth has been enjoyable for me the last two times and I hope to be able to do it again one day. It requires so much work from our minds and bodies but it’s a good work - one that brings life into this world.
So, how do you achieve this kind of experience?
Much of how we are prepared mentally and manage #birth mentally will impact the physical experience. The more fears we carry, the more pain we will experience.
    Why?
Because your body won’t be fully relaxed and surrendered for you to experience birth. The fear tension pain cycle shows that the more we fear or anticipate something we don’t desire (aka fear of contractions or pain), the more our body tenses up when we think about them or experience them which leads to more pain. But, if you’re confident and know how to #werk with them, your perspective can change your experience of them.
I can confidently say that my third birth was easy. I was very focused on my mental and spiritual preparation to not allow my physical experience of birth to overtake my mental experience of birth. Honestly, I was so sad it was over because it was such an enjoyable experience.

Exactly! I’m so excited to try and birth my sweet baby unmediated (any day now), but still pretty nervous. I KNOW I can do this and so can each and every one of you!

Positive vibes only mama, mentally prepare yourself. Pray over you and your baby and let God know you have given him control. Your body will do what it needs to do, trust your body and go meet your baby!

My first birth I rode the waves all the way until it was time to push! I think it was more about endurance than pain for me! It was tiring but I can’t tell you how much energy I had when I held my baby finally! ❤

My sister told me that during her first birth she didn't feel any pain during contractions until the last hour of labor. I hope mine will go as smoothly.

I had a natural home birth. I laboured right through to 9cm and I managed to ride the waves of each contraction and I was almost in a meditative state of mind and I was focusing so hard on absorbing the intensity of each contraction and I was in the best head space. Then the midwife manually stretched me for my last cm during three contractions. That was excruciating and it pulled me out of that head space that I was in dealing with the pain. That zen head space I was in was cathartic and beautiful. I wish she didn't stretch me like that. I don't know if she was just being impatient or if it was really necessary. I think during a routine labour and the right environment, women can indeed be very capable of natural pain management for sure!!! We're incredible and can endure so much with or without pain ❤️

I might be wrong.. but ive always thought that if we women had to suffer then there was no use for periods and labour pain..
I mean thats what ive always thought
But i dont say it because the ladies get mad at me and i totally understand why!!😅😢It is painful
But i think that if someone is in their most natural state, stress free, in tune wuth their body then it wint be as painful as we face today..
And thats not possible cuz how can life be stressfree and you have to have pain at some point
    Aw well...
Ill let myself wonder about it more

I feel like labour would be alot more painful for me as im so slim and my dad told me im more likely to die of child birth as im so slim and i hav ZERO pain tolerance

Why the heck would your father say that to you? Thats messed up. Many slim women give birth without complications. You're usually more at risk of complications if the women in your family had complications giving birth. Because it's quite often a genetic trait. Also, I know obese women who said it was agony, and i know slim women who said they felt no pain. So, size doesn't have anything to do with it (providing You're fully grown woman).

    • @awerkingmama
      @awerkingmama  Před 8 měsíci +4

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry he said that to you. You being slim and having a low pain tolerance is unrelated to having a positive and even pain-free birth experience. I’ve supported many slim women and they labored very well. Trust yourself and your body and surround yourself with uplifting and educated people during your pregnancy.

@@Elly___05Xxx I think it's sad that you can't see the problem with what your father has said. Perhaps you will never want kids, but if you do, you will now potentially be fearful and not enjoy your pregnancy. He has a lot to answer for if that happens. Yes, giving birth generally is painful for most people. I don't know what complications your mother had, but I assume she didn't die during childbirth?

There is a small minority who have painless birth but they are a lucky minority and when the hypnobirthing community says painfree they mean super manageable pain thats non traumatic

@@carolinpurayidom4570 Agree with you. I also dont think you have a choice with the pain. It's different for everyone. Gave birth twice and my first was absolute agony, whereas my second wasnt as bad. I don't think i could have made my first less painful; it was what it was.
I think giving tips to help women through the pain is great! But these videos claiming to eliminate the pain is just sad. It will only cause guilt and confusion for new mothers.
