The only problem with what Stephen A. is saying is if a head coach who just got to the NBA Finals in his first year just randomly disappears for a year or leaves, people are going to talk, speculate, or find out what happened. Either way, we would still be here.
Unless someone tells it, we won't know. Rumors are just rumors as long as it doesn't get leaked. But when you go and put it out there, and halfway at that, you confirm and make it much worse for everyone involved.
I agree, as a Cs fan I feel ill-informed, suspicious, confused, upset and otherwise as to how the team is handling this
Like Stephen A. I got a problem with this too they drag him in the mud but don’t mention the female at all she was a employee and should’ve been suspended too
Why Stephen A talkin like a report finna come out one of these days on him makin moves with Molly 👀😂😂
The reason is that it simply wasn’t an office affair. Rumors are that Udoka was having relationships with married Celtics staffers. That wouldn’t be a big deal if they were married to a plumber, but in one case, it is being reported the woman is married to a Celtics Sr. Vice President. As you can imagine, that didn’t go over well when the affair was uncovered. Udoka was given an opportunity to end all his affairs quietly but chose not to. A Celtics staffer Kathleen Nimmo Lynch deleted all her social media a few days before the story broke, leading people on social media to believe she was the staffer that Udoka was having the affair
How do YOU know that?! Smh
Molly ain't ALL that, bruh
Who's Molly????
if ESPN can blast Udoka for this, they can cover Brett Farve more than this....ESPN let's not get started on how y'all ALLOWED Jalen Rose & Molly to have a relationship behind the scenes enough for them to get married AND divorced and we as viewers never heard a word about it or seen Jalen nor Molly get penalized about that..let's talk about it all 🤷🏾♂
Neither one of them have CONTROL of the others career. Ime was her boss. That's why.
So what would been the results if the Celtics would have fired him? Wouldn’t everyone in press wanna know why the Celtics after a very successful year fire a coach in the off season? Steven A would have been yelling from the rafters wanting to know why he was fired…
It’s about the $, if they fire him they’re forced to pay out the remainder of his contract AND he’s free to go coach whichever team he wants
If they fired Udoka, then all they would have to say is, “ HE VIOLATED A TEAM POLICY, THAT IS DETRIMENTAL TO BOTH THE TEAM AND OUR ORGANIZATIONAL PRACTICES.
Facts if he randomly got fired with no clear reasoning after leading the Celtics to a chip, Steven A woulda had a fit
If they fired him, no one would have issue with this information coming out because he is going out the door. They didn't do that. They suspended him and they're keeping him, yet they have sullied him to the point where he can barely come back and coach that team. That's an extremely poor job of public relations. Obviously, he had an affair with a white woman, and her husband got emotional, and leaked the information to the press.
SAS would go in tantrums for firing a black coach with no apparent reason.
Ime should've coached the Lakers back in 1999. They're more lenient with that stuff. Can sleep with the owner's daughter.
I knew SAS wouldn’t like the suspension, but it seems like they might fire him if other details come out idk

@@Cristian-zz9ny she still looks good tho
My question is even if the Celtics had just straight up fired him like Stephen A suggests, wouldn’t they still need to explain why? So in the end it’s the same situation, it would be public knowledge. Udoka was a great coach and everyone who watches basketball knows who he is, so it’s not like people aren’t going to want an explanation on why he got fired. What are they supposed to say? “Yup we just decided to fire our awesome coach that took us to the finals for no reason?” If Udoka was not the head coach, but instead someone in the management role that’s more behind-the-scenes, then they could keep it private.
Think about it, why would the Celtics conceal information about a man who was fired? THEY WOULDN'T. They would sully him on his way out the door. Now, why would a team sully a coach whom they are keeping? They don't. They keep it in-house and keep it pushing. That is the point. What the Celtics are doing is UNPRECEDENTED. Obviously Udoka slept with the wife of a high-ranking executive of the team, and that man got emotional and leaked the information to the press.
@@PGO_Gaming That’s true but I’m specifically talking about Stephen A saying that he would be okay if they just straight up fired him instead of suspending and publicizing it. My point is if they just fired him, it would still get publicized the same way.
Stephen A would be heated if Udoka just got fired. Truth is that I don’t think Boston can win in his eyes, you know how much he goes to bat for black coaches so he would not take that lightly. Stephen A is also pretty in tune with rules so while I think he’d be cool with them keeping Udoka he’d definitely bring up the violation of their code of conduct. I think the suspension is fine for the most part
SA has a bizarre take on this.
@@-Stinky_Pinky Yes it would be publicized in the same way, but IT WOULD BE WARRANTED. No one would have any qualms about a team firing a coach and kicking him out the door. The problem is that they are kicking him out the door, AND keeping him. That is the point Stephen A is trying to make. If you're keeping him, keep it in-house. They kept him and EXPOSED HIM.
Makes no sense.
SAS is spitting fax lol
SAS shamelessly propagating lies. Disgraceful.
I agree with Stephen A 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯%!! I love him, his point of views and always love to hear his voice!!!
Liability, liability, liability. Celtics had very little choice but to take action. The lawsuit would come at them.
I think people aren’t reading the whole story just the headline. The original story was printed in The Athletic. The relationship started out as a consensual one but when the organization found out in July the relationship ended. Since then he has made unwanted advances towards this women which is sexual harassment. A woman can reject consent. Just because you had a consensual relationship doesn’t mean it remains that way.
Exactly. How that's not mentioned is irresponsible
I’ve been unable to find this detail.
And the woman was married too.. so once it ended, he should have left it alone completely & not continue to make unwanted advances at her.
So now they are unwanted after she screwed him...she's just saying that for her husband
Just cuz you ask someone out again isnt sexual harrasement. Sorry she was worried about her job not being sexually harrassed
Why can't I find the original interview?
Stephen has a valid point here. You either gotta fire him if it was misconduct or if it was consensual, punish him for his violation, but stand with him as your coach. It feels like the Celtics are being purposefully ambiguous about all of it. I personally believe there was likely some misconduct here, but the Celtics don't want the full story out because they plan on bringing him back because he took them to the finals and is a good coach. Normal business tactics are at play here. Now, they can get him back and not have to pay him as much in the coming years and other teams likely won't pick him up because no org wants to deal with the scrutiny that this type of allegation comes with. Just my thoughts, but there is definitely more to the story the Celtics are leaving out.
That is how a Ram shut it down! Big ups to Stephen A!
They were not going to be able to keep this private if they fired him. He just took the team to the NBA finals as an underdog. If they fire him or suspend him the media is going to want to know why. And not stop digging until they find out. Plus I read the woman came back and said some of the advances were unwanted. Now you have potential lawsuit.
I think what he’s saying is if you can’t fire him yet because of legalities just say he’s suspended for violating team policy that’s it don’t give the reason why.
I totally agree If you Are going to hold one person accountable hold ALL accountable

How do you send this to the Celtics?
The safest thing to do is be on your best behavior all the time. That goes for anything you see in the real world. Anything a person puts on the internet makes it impossible to deny that you said it. It's also there forever. How do you solve that problem? Just be careful what you put on the web. Don't do anything that you wouldn't be comfortable reading in the paper the next day!

Well now we can say goodbye to anything ...The players will be unmotivated not because of that only ,but because of all the rumors of trades before ...smh
I feel like we don’t have nearly enough details… am I right about this?
It's rather simple: "Due to internal conflicts and differences of philosophy regarding the long term prospects of the team, the Boston Celtics and Ime Udoka have decided to amicably part ways. The Boston Celtics would like to thank Ime for his leadership during a momentous 2021-22 season and wish him the very best in his future endeavors. The Celtics will continue to be committed to the City of Boston and the best fans in the NBA as we continue to push toward banner number 18."
With an iron clad NDA signed by Udoka and every single member of the front office, the issue is dead. You'll get a couple of days of press, but the next flavor of the month story will remove the spotlight. There are agendas running all through that organization that ownership needs to ferret out and remove.
Allison Feaster, a well respected former ball player, executive and wife was hung out to dry for almost 48hrs and the organization didn't refute anything in her defense. The Boston Celtics ownership has not addressed the dysfunction running rampant in that organization and they are going to learn a hard lesson over the next couple of years as star players will leave and none will want to sign there.
