lol they trying make Russ the scapegoat for the terrible coaching this year
🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Give it another 2 years and everyone will realize SP is extremely overrated and this organization will be stuck in an extended rebuild because of their ignorance.
Idk who they think they’re going to get to upgrade the QB position because half the league would like to upgrade their QB right now 😂
The QB landscape in the NFL is abysmal overall.
Oh they are not trying bro, they blatantly are, so sad
Lol your CZcams pic not tiger woods 😂 that’s hilarious
@@NostalgikOnethis franchise hasn’t done a rebuild in years and that’s what they’ve been needing for a long time
Russell Wilson statistically has better stats than the MVP from last season. The way they're flaming him about this current situation is disgusting. Sean Payton is becoming the new Chip Kelly by sacrificing the stars of his team and making it work around a formula of his choices.
The difference is Pat Mahomes finds ways to win you games and Russell Wilson does not unless he's playing the 49ers. 😂 I can't tell you how many times Russ had an opportunity to shine and flourish here but has failed. Just look at all the one score games the Broncos lost last year. 🤷🏼♂️ Then this year comes around and he has another opportunity to "re invent" himself with Sean Payton who he wanted as a coach himself and look how it's gone 😂 Broncos fans who actually watch and know what's going on realize how many opportunities we've given Russ and he's flushed them down the toilet. We even gave him 250 million dollars before he played a down. We didn't pay that type of money for a guy to be middle of the pack and that's what he is. His numbers clearly don't paint the picture and people just feel sad for him because they really don't know the situation. I'd be loving me some Russ if we were 10-5 right now or 11-4 but the Broncos aren't and that's exactly what they paid for and haven't gotten yet. But let's be real here, with Russ's style of play does he even have what it takes to lead a team to a wild card spot in the playoffs? He's done. Stick a fork in the guy. Seattle saw it all along.
Dumbest comment I’ve ever read
@@AmIGoingToDiebroncos have the worst line in the nfl
Sean Payton won 63% of his games over 15 years in New Orleans with 8 playoff appearances and 1 Super Bowl win for a franchise that has won 40% of the games in the other 40 years of its history, with one playoff game win in 4 playoff appearances. And you're comparing his NFL career to Chip Kelly's?
Broncos are benching Russ because it saves them $37 million if he doesn't get hurt before March 2024
Outrageous how the media treats Russ. This is wild
I know right
I’ll help Russ pack his bags of money. Let’s ride!
It’s Kimberly, we already know she hates black men lol, there’s nothing new here
Why? They all look like fools now after praising the trade in the broncos favor. Broncos haven't done anything since getting Russell. Remember you were a quarterback away from being the best team in the league? Yeah right...
@@johnofmaltayou're a true ride or die
So 26 TDs and 8 ints is bad for a QB? Okay I blame Sean Payton.
Not for how much he's getting paid
Yeah it was Sean Payton fault last season too……….. oh wait
I do, too.
You clearly didn’t watch any games just read stats. His numbers are alright but they didn’t pay him 250 million to be “alright” plus 26 TD and 8 picks is alright but not when your at the bottom of the league in QBR. He’s supposed to be the reason they’re winning and competing for championships instead when Denver started rolling a little bit he took a step back offensively and wasn’t trying to do as much, with him they shoulda won more not maybe going 8-9 or 7-10. Plus how you gonna blame Payton when Russ actually improved him play under Sean Payton from last year?
@@TheKingofKings2272 Dak has 30td’s leading the lead Russ has 26??? Will Peyton ever find another QB that will put up those numbers??

The worst is a strong statement
It’s definitely up there especially since they’re giving up on him in the middle of his contract.
It’s a strong statement, because of the money they invested in him. And, two years in a row that they haven’t made it to the playoffs.
@@btruthful163 Deshaun Watson exists
@@TheRealMallard The difference is DW was coming off of legal issues and injury his 1st season with the Browns. This 2nd season, unfortunately he got hurt, out again for the season, but they were playing winning games. Even though Russ played a little better than last year, he still hasn’t played up to that contract.
@@btruthful163 Russ has played better than Watson the last 2 years. Browns are just a better team. Payton doesn't like Russ and wants another Brees. He can't make a system for a QB to shine he needs a QB to play in HIS system.

What about this take is bad tho?
@@TJ-im7geit’s probably not even top 10 worst NFL trades.
This is outrageously disrespectful
💯
Russ’ play has been outrageously disappointing based on the money he’s receiving.
Russell Wilson is completing 66% of his passes for over 3,000 yards with 26 TDs to only 8 INTs guiding his offense to am average of 21 points a game
Correct me if I am wrong, but those numbers put him in the better half of Starting QBs. Not his fault his defense is giving up an average of nearly 26 a game
That offensive line is terrible, the defense is even worse. Sean Payton is showing just how mediocre he is as a head coach but is more than willing to try and pin all the blame on Wilson. As if he was the one who coached the defense to give up 70 points in a game
Yet they struggle to move the ball 75% of the game. The numbers look better than his actual play. When you have 10 drives in a game and 7 of them are 3 and out it kills you. That's Russ. Russ makes every OL look terrible. He holds the ball too long. He runs into sacks. He bails out of the pocket early. Being short he has to take deeper drops putting even more pressure on the OTs. In Seattle Russ caused 60% of the sack they gave up. So instead of getting sacked 20 times you get sacked 50. Russ drops back looking at the rush first to see where he's going to run. He misses that first read. Sometimes even two. Then he has to hold the ball hoping someone breaks open.
When the game matters he doesn’t do much. He refuses to throw anything in the middle of the field unless it is wide open, and half the time he doesn’t see it anyway. And he’s being paid to be better than 95% of QBs. That’s the problem.
You don’t watch the broncos
@@larrylindgren9484who u think calls the plays 100% of the time
@PD Payton’s been managing Russ. If you want a stat look at the yards per attempt. It’s bad. Russ refuses to throw it down the middle of field because he doesn’t trust what he sees. Russ can’t see. It’s always been a problem. The play doesn’t match the contract so the player has to go. Let’s ride!
Russell Wilson has 9 Pro Bowls, Joe Flacco has none! You can’t compare those 2 guys lol
Facts some no many of these shows lack common sense
Straight up! Russ was the least of the Broncos problems. They have to justify their actions ahead of time and use ESPN to push the narrative. This play is so old that it's not even effective. Russ has actually been playing decent. If you don't want the guy, just move on without trying to create all of this nonsense
His SB ring looks the same as Russ's.
@@mr.anderson3694no it doesn't because the Ravens defense absolutely carried that team to the super bowl and russ was the main reason that they won the SB title you must have forgot 😂
@sthomas730 You must have forgotten Flacco threw 3 TD's and was named SB MVP.
Russ wasn’t playing to the tune of his contract & prime years-but it’s crazy how no one talks about Sean Payton & his blunders. Underachieved for years on hand having sat out & chose to go there
Russell Wilson scored 20 points.. which can win you a game at times.. but Sean Payton “the savior” for the broncos allowed 70…
I’ve never understood how delusional these owners are. No one gets paid for past performances more than coaches
Other than the one year with Bountygate, Payton's had pretty much the same career arc as Don Coryell. Great offenses, mediocre to terrible defenses. Not convinced he'll lead Denver to the promised land. Truth is, with a mid to late 1st round pick (depending on how Denver does in these last couple of games), Denver's going to spend at least two years in the wilderness, and have to hope they pick the right QB in the 2025 draft.
HE ACTUALLY IS WHEN YOU CONSIDER DANIEL JONES GOT 40 MILLION A YEAR AND AARON RODGERS GOR 50 MILLION A YEAR..BUT OF COURSE AS WHITE QUARTERBACKS THEY ARE AFFORDED THE PRIVILEGES OF PIGMENTOCRACY WHICH GIVE THEM IMMUNITY FROM CRITICISM
So we're gonna forget the D-Hop trade with Bill O'Brien? 🤔
Greatest trick the Broncos ever pulled is making people think they had a talented roster in offense… how did no one notice they never even had a true #1 WR
I think their only chance for a #1 receiver was Tim Patrick, but now that he’s coming off of 2 major injuries in a row, I highly doubt he’s got a chance to be that. He could still very well be a pretty good receiver, but not #1.
Right the broncos have been any good since the superbowl literally they have had multiple qbs and losing records
It doesn't help that all your wr get injured. All wr they have drafted have missed time. They have shown flashes of how good they are but nothing seriously consistent
I'm not generally a "blame the media" person but in this case, the trick was pulled by talking heads like Colin Cowherd, not by the Broncos. George Paton did a terrible job with this team.
I’ve been saying that. This Team is deeply flawed. It doesn’t compare to Tampa Bay being a QB away. This is a Rebuilding Team!
How about the Trey Lance trade (Dolphins got Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Bradley Chubb)
But the niners drafted purdy during that offseason, it was win win even though niners gave up a lot for Lance

She sounds super dumb.
Russell Wilson to Denver: "Worst trade in NFL history!"
Deshaun Watson to Cleveland: "Hold my beer!"
Russ is an instant first ballot hall of famer. The fact that they were questioning that and comparing him to someone like Flacco is crazy
This shows their ignorance. Nobody mentioned that that Kurtis Warner didn’t deserve the Hall of Fame. Russ has much better career statistics.
Russ threw an interception at the 1yd line 😑
First ballot? Nahh, dude. I think he sneaks in after a few tries.
Hawks fan here, but he's definitely not first ballot. He'll get in eventually tho, he'll be in Seattle's Ring of Honor tho without a doubt.
Bart Scott brought that fire today-“Dancing with the Stars” 😂😂😂.
Also another thing…. I’m tired of the narrative “oh Russ doesn’t have a ring without the legion”….. well think…. Would they have a ring without him??
Well, as for that... During that particular title run, Seahawks' D only allowed 15 points to the Saints in divisional round, 17 points to the Niners in the NFC Championship and 8 points to the Broncos in the Super Bowl. That 2013 Seahawks defence was one of those special units like 1985 Bears or 2000 Ravens that could win you a championship even without an elite QB. That being said, Russell Wilson is, of course, much better player than Trent Dilfer or Jim McMahon ever were.
@@milankolesik7037 absolutely and me being a ravens fan he is CERTAINLY better than Trent but there’s the thing even with one of those two I’d still say russell had key moments in those playoffs as well to help them win. No matter what, you can’t say they win undoubtedly without him.
Try 2
This lady and the guy to her left are awwwful! I am still waiting for her to make an interesting point or real analysis. She thinks smiles and facial expressions is what matters.
As a Broncos fan, here we go again with the quarterback carousel. Why are they getting rid of him? who's next? somebody else that's coming in is going to have to start all over. At least they were starting to gain some type of ground, give it one more year. You can't come in and change a team around right away, sometimes it takes at least 3 years.
Exactly! I actually liked some of the other qbs they had. For a time they didn't have a quality o line to help them. How is a young qb gonna learn if they don't get game reps. Imagine if the colts gave up on manning after his rookie year when he led the league in ints? Teams want a qb to be an instant star. Yeah some are n others will take some time
It’s just a mess. The problem is they got their qb and coach at the same time and both were WRONG. Now they truly have their head coach and he doesn’t want the qb. Fair enough. Trying to get by with Russ is a bad compromise.
I said the same thing if it ain’t Payton’s way it’s the highway he was worried about Wilson’s perks and not his play and it made Wilson uncomfortable imo
@@DD-sr9xmy’all crazy blaming Russ. Dude has had zero weapons for 2 years. Russ is actually playing better than expected with the talentless team he has around him.
Nope.... Russ was the Broncos pushing all their chips to the middle of the table. And unlike the gamble with Manning almost a decade ago, this one didn't pay off. Getting out on Russ puts you back in the revolving door of the world of Semiens, Lynchs, and Locks of the NFL.
One factor often overlooked, when a coach comes from a highly successful college program to the nfl, is their knowledge of the players they recruited prior to going to the nfl. Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carrol are prime examples. It's obvious, they had a better understanding of the players they drafted than the other NFL teams, because they both had extreme success in their first few years via the draft. Oftentimes that advantage dwindles and those coaches struggle in the draft as the players they know leave college.
Not giving the ball to Beast mode in the SB,sent his career in a different direction.
That Super Bowl loss made his career a disappointment
So…. You’re telling me the 8-7 Seahawks are thriving and the 7-8 broncos aren’t just as good? Man gtfoh
THANK YOU!
Most of these hated Russ for a long time anyway
When you look at the long term. Seahawks didn't want to overpay for Wilson.
@@rickyv7757 I mean I completely understand that part. I’m talking about this idiotic take by the people on the show
@@Cmelo7100 yea, labeling it the worst trade ever is a stretch
This was Russell's first year in a new offense. He individually got better from last year and the team got better, so it would make sense to think that he and the team would be even better next year. The fact that they're not even giving him that chance shows that Payton didn't want him
The team got better because Hackett wasn't there allowing Russ to carry on his antics..... like having his own office in Dove Valley at the practice facility. 😂 Russ has gotten better but his play isn't the main reason the Broncos went on that 5 game winning streak. Sure he contributed but our defense gave Russ those opportunities to succeed. 15 turnovers in 5 games....that's three a game. You better be able to win if your defense is doing that for you. The Broncos offense hasn't kept them in a game for nothing in a very long time especially with Russ behind the center. The Broncos wins and their attempt to make a playoff push is strictly on the defense and now it's on Stidham to get things going because clearly Russ just wasn't it.
If you watch the film, you see Russ can't run the offense. Russ isn't a rookie. It shouldn't take Russ 2 years to learn an offense. It's been two years, and he still can't run it. Russ wanted out of Seattle because he knew he could run the offense there.
@@larrylindgren9484 if he was as bad as he was last year I would agree with you, but he wasn't. He made significant strides from last season to this one, while in two different schemes and the team was on the verge of the playoffs. So Russ who has 2 years life to Bart and Kimberly is the worst trade in history but Watson still has 3 years left on his contract and you have to wait before judging him. Talk about hypocrisy right there
Everyone has valid points in the comments, what i didnt see is people talking about the why are they not getting rid of the defensive coordinator. Broncos got whooped more than just the one blowout.

Why are we listening to this woman talking about the Wilson trade as the worst in NFL history, are you serious. ESPN is literally done
I’ll tap back in next week if the real first take is back on air 🫣
Numbers decent? I mean I guess. Just know he has the same amount of TD as Mahomes and less int. Russ ain’t even been that bad this year. He’s not the main problem. There are lots of problems going on there that need to be addressed. Communication is one of those things
Why aren't the Chiefs benching and getting rid of Mahomes? Worse QB rating. More turnovers. Same number of TDs.
Russell Wilson padded his stats. Multiple times this season he would have a wretched first 3 quarters, get going in 4th, and lose anyway
@@vulcanraven9701 he’s not a stat padder and never has been. He’s 18th in passing yards and only has had two 300 yard games this year. So idk where you getting that he stat pads. He’s not even throwing for a lot of yardage. There are other quarterbacks who stats pad for more. For example Derek Carr. So calling Wilson a stat padder is a huge stretch. He’s barely over 200 yards a game.
@@KD35Champ24his stats arent great and maybe he doesnt pad them on purpose but the broncos frequently have single digit pts after 3 quarters and then get most their pts when the game is almost over & losing anyway
@@vulcanraven9701 yeah it’s weird what goes on there. They should be better than what their record shows.
Man who tf wakes up in the morning and says “I want to hear Kimberly Martin talk football” 😂
Never thought I’d see the day..
The irony is that when Russell Wilson was "average" early on in his career, he was successful. Because game planning with the thought that the QB is just okay is the best strategy.
Denver is 25th in the league in passing offense. The Raiders, with a rookie QB, a mid season coaching change, and Josh Jacobs hurt, are 23d in passing. Of course Sean Payton is tired of Russ' cooking. My money is on Russ playing in Atlanta next year. And then fading into a broadcasting job.
Being a saints fan with carr atleast we ain’t in the headlines like this 😂😂😂
The Watson trade is worse. But this trade was great if you are a Seattle fan. Denver panicked. As Cleveland did. They could have gotten just as much from Baker for 40 million less a year. Bring Russ back will not make Russ better. He is who he is. He'll pull up numbers that don't look bad but overall, the offense with lead the league in sacks and 3 and outs. And struggle to score points just like Russ did in Seattle. If the defense is good, they win games and get blown out in the playoffs.
Russ with the raiders isn’t a horrible fit🤷🏾♂️
He’s doing better than mahomes and tua. Casual mainstream media showing one narrative
Deshaun Watson to the Browns is worse. Joe Flacco this year is a nice story but they gave up a lot of draft capital and then followed that with even worse contract than Wilson got for a guy who should be leading them to the playoffs
stop it Watson was 5-1 this season. U crown a guy who won 3 games 😂😂.. TheAaron Rodgers Jets trade was the worst 😂
I disagree on this one. Russell Wilson is still that dominate QB. He might have been benched but the team made the biggest mistake ever. They should have never have benched him. They have two games left so why bench him now with only games left in the regular season makes no sense at all. I think that this coach should be fired immediately on this terrible decision.
Dancing with The Stars is insane
“I can tell you’re lying cus when you’re replying, you stutter stutter. Stutter stutter” IYKYK
Sean Payton isn’t the coach we thought he was.
Bart is really funny 😄
How about the Raiders team to find the way for the deal next season?
Deshaun to Cleveland was a real finesse
Nothing can top the Herschel Walker trade as the worst trade in NFL history. I’d also put the Trey Lance trade over the Russ trade in terms of being the worst
Meanwhile Watson is in cleveland thinking hold my beer.
That and Watson to browns trade. Especially if bucks are lead to playoffs by the browns former qb. Browns had to call Joe Flacco from retirement pretty much to save their season after Watson went down again
Watson went 5-1 and flacco has thrown 8 picks in like 3 games with no pressure. You can’t compare them.
I really enjoy Damien and Bart’s takes. Every single time
What about the offensive line
Russ to the raiders next season makes the most sense to me
I don’t understand how Watson wasn’t taken more seriously as the worst trade ever. The browns are actually in a worse qb situation than the broncos. Watson hasn’t been playing and when he has he’s sucked, he was paid the most money in nfl history and it’s fully guaranteed. On top of all that they have a Super Bowl ready roster shown by Joe Flacco who was sitting on his couch at the start of the season. And making the playoffs isn’t good enough like it is for the broncos bc they traded away baker after he won them a playoff game. Looking outside of the browns, Watson set back the rest of the league from getting fully guaranteed contracts too
Even with Elway as broncos GM they still ain't found a QB dammmitt maannnee dat hurt🤣🤣😅😭
The moment he said LET’S RIDE, I knew they was cooked lmaooo
Dancing with the stars😂😂😂😂
Deshaun Watson: Hold my mistress
Let everyone make money. It's America. Let's live have fun. Bless each other
It’s always either this one or the Deshaun Watson and the Browns trade. Well, back to this one at the top of the list after this news.
The worst take on here is saying that he might be done. That's a terrible take
Russ on December 27 2023, tweeted out “ Gods got me, looking forward to what’s next”
We don’t know what he’s referring too but after getting benched, there is a possibility that the Broncos are planning to move on from him.
Looool, the deshaun watson trade is worse. The Browns acquired Watson from the Houston Texans in exchange for first-round picks in 2022, 2023 and 2024, along with a 2023 third-round pick and 2024 fourth-round pick. The Texans also sent the Browns a 2024 fifth-round pick. I would say that's the worst trade of this decade, especially considering the stain left on that franchise, for selling their soul. To put it in perspective. 14 touchdowns in the last two season, compared to 42 touchdowns from russ.
He’s been hurt and stepped away from the game for like 2 years. He went 5-1 as a starter and beat the ravens (#1 seed) with a broken shoulder. If he was still heathy the browns would be the 1 seed easily.
loool, doubtful. Still doesn't take away from the fact that he's only played 12 games these last two years, due to injuries and suspension. The fact that Joe flacco is playing miles above him shows how little value he has to the browns at this point@@finsfan7936. They've won in spite of him
Wilson is still among the best QBs without top tier WR,TE, or RB. The defense was terrible in the start too.
Bart Scott when he brought up Joe 😂
They still have to pay him, and now he can go play for another team for cheap because the Bronco,s owe him. Russ in Chicago
How does that make the Hershel Walker trade bad? If I get 5 picks, turn them into 10 picks, and get a bunch of good players out of it, that doesn't make the trade the worst in history. It's called being a good scout and GM.
Will be interesting who Broncos & Payton get. Do they draft a QB or trade for 1? Remember, Kirk Cousins will be a free agent. Broncos haveva solid defense now. They go get Cousins, draft OL to protect him in 1st & 2nd round. Still hot Sutton & Jeudy at WR, some OK RBs. Or could use whole draft on Offense. In my opinion, best way to go.
I wouldn't say the Seahawks are "thriving" with Gino Smith. They are barely on life-support for the playoffs. They are basically a middle-of-the-road team with an adequate but aging quarterback.
1959: Lions trade Bobby Layne to Pittsburgh (who was still reeling from cutting Johnny Unitas) for Earl Morrall.
Pittsburgh was like: "Oh, we got Bobby Layne now? Shoot, we don't need Len Dawson no more, BYE!!!
Pittsburgh got 2 Pro Bowl seasons from Layne before fading into retirement (final pass was a pick vs Miami)
Morrall was quickly dropped by the Lions, but found new life backing up Unitas en route to Super Bowl III and V (first ring), and was picked up by Don Shula to play behind (and/or in place of) Bob Griese, leading to two more back-to-back rings in SB's VII and VIII (Morrall was starting QB during the '72 postseason, leading to capping off the NFL's only fully undefeated season).
Dawson fizzled out in Cleveland, before landing on the Chiefs, becoming league MVP, a three-time champion, and a freaking Hall-of-Famer.
As far as Detroit, WELL...LEGEND HAS IT that Bobby Layne cursed the team that traded him on his way out of town: "THIS team won't win another championship for another 50 YEARS!"
Year 50 of the curse was 2008, when the Lions went winless.
What's a worse trade than that?
I think the Deshaun Watson trade was worse.
For me, any QB contract that doesn't result in the QB winning a Super Bowl for the team that gave him the contract is WASTE.
Kmart mmmhmm reminds me of mmmkaaayyy everytime😂
Ppl most forget how Dallas became greatbin the 90s

What are we talking about. The Hershel Walker trade led to Emmitt Smith…NUFF SAID!
Comparing Russell Wilson to Joe Flacco is crazy...
hes got better stats than mahomes this year. the disrespect is insane
I am really sick of the disrespect of Russell Wilson...
Being a longtime Broncos fan, I saw my team get more and more desperate to land a franchise level quarterback. Denver ended up giving up the "horse ranch" for a quarterback in his obvious decline, and also giving too many quality players. Seattle had Denver over the barrel and thirsty, and understandably made the most of their desperation. Russ gives up the ball too much and has a very limited vision of the field. He also makes great plays at times, and along those lines, Sutton helped him look great at times, too. We all want Russ to cook, but he's very hot and cold. His play definitely improved this year a lot compared to last year. He didn't live up to the massive money. People who watch the Broncos weekly with passion are behind this decision, for the most part, as trippy and dysfunctional as this debacle has been. We need to see a some of what Stidham can do.
The trade was exacerbated by the monster contract he was given before he took a snap.
Top three definitely... The worst??? We need some more debate on that.
Gotta remember a few things. Kirk will be a free agent, Cards probably trying to get rid of Kyler. How many QBs in Draft? How many teams will need a QB??
