    I’m from Minnesota, and I know it’s Boston. It’s not the biggest market, because that’s bs, a big city doesn’t mean passionate sports fans. The best sports town should be based on the franchises, and most enthusiastic and loyal fans. That has to be Boston. Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, Celtics. Basically each one is the #1 or #2 most well known franchises in each sport.

    If your talking about team success it’s obviously Boston the patriots won two years ago, the Red Sox won in 2013 the Celtics won in 2008 and the bruins won in 2011. All four teams have won either the Super Bowl, World Series, Nba Finals, or NHL Stanley cup. If your talking about fan support Boston wins that as well. Walk around anywhere in New England and you will see Red Sox hats, patriots and Celtics shirts, and bruins jackets. Aside from Minnesota and Michigan the New England states produce the most American NHL hockey players. Walk around New York and you will maybe see one Yankees hat.

    Patriots
    * Greatest QB of all time
    * Arguably best TE of all time.
    * 5 chips
    * 20 year dominance.

    Boston easily.

    • @Ares14
      @Ares14 Před 5 lety

      Easily? how about the argument for bay area based teams?
      49ers:
      5 chips
      Also dominant for almost 20 years. 1981-1998.
      Joe Montana: No one more clutch in super bowl history and the former QB goat.
      Jerry Rice: The literal greatest NFL player to ever touch a football
      Ronnie Lott: The most dynamic DB of all time. played CB, SS and FS at elite levels.
      Steve young: holder of the highest career passer rating when he retired
      Giants:
      The most successful franchise over the past 10 years if we're speaking chips and one of the most successful franchises if we want to count the entire Giant history.
      Willie Mays: Arguably the most talented baseball player ever and some say the best baseball player who ever lived.
      Barry Bonds: Home run king and still would of been the only man in the 400hr/400sb and 500hr/500sb club minus the steroid speculation which are records that may never be broken.
      Oldest rivalry in professional American sports: Giants vs Dodgers.
      The most HOF players in the National league (Yanks are #1 overall)
      Warriors:
      So dominant that they have "ruined the NBA" with 3 chips and probably a couple more on the way when its all said and done
      Best shooter(s) in the history of the game.
      I still think Boston as a whole has more success because its hard for me to count the accolades of the Warriors and Giants pre Bay area as west coast teams obviously haven't been around as long. But idk if its a layup that Boston takes the cake.

    Boston has 4 teams unlike LA and NYC. All 4 of their teams in the NFL,NBA,NHL & MLB are historical powerhouses & have many championships. If you argue the Lakers are more important than the Celtics that’s fine because the Celtics are undoubtedly #2 all time in the nba. The patriots are the #1 dynasty and team in the NFL. The Yankees are the biggest franchise ever in the MLB but I believe the Red Sox are somewhere in the top 3. And I admittingly don’t know much about hockey but the bruins are also one of the biggest most important franchises in that league. No other sports town on average has that many important powerhouse teams and the championship pedigree that Boston has with only 4 major pro sports teams.

    *Max is right though. NY has so many sports teams that fans are divided, and so is the market in every sport, while it's the opposite with Boston, so you might think Boston is number1 but really it's NY by far. Just imagine if NY had one baseball team, one basketball team, and one football team*

      @winter32842 Před 5 lety +1

      What would NY do different if it had only had one baseball team, one basketball team, and one football team? Nothing. Ny would still have poor management and would continue make poor decision. Having two teams gives you double the chance of winning.

      Nets were still a New York-area basketball team when they played in Jersey. They spent most of their history in the Izod Center, in the same complex that the Giants and Jets play in. So really, there’s been 2 New York basketball teams for a very long time.

    Max's comment about New York splitting teams makes no sense. The fact that they have twice as many means that they are twice as likely to win a championship. Also, that means that fans have options in who to root for. I firmly believe the correct answer is Boston, but that point Max made doesn't hurt New York, it does nothing but improve their case. And yet they still are clearly not as great as Boston. So, in conclusion, Boston is great and Max is an idiot.

    Patriots- greatest dynasty ever
    Red Sox- 3 titles since 04, best team in the world currently
    Celtics- 17 titles, favorites in the east
    Bruins- top 5 NHL franchise
    NYC and Boston are the top two, its not up for debate. Philly isnt top 5, i think Stephen A put them there out of pity.
