She rocked all three looks. Gok is the best. I love how he handled the chemistry between the moms. Everything about stepmom screams insecurity. Her face, body language , just the way she reacted. Emily's mom ...really calm and classy!!!

I'm going to not comment on the stepmum and say I adore how much her mother wholeheartedly loves her daughter. She just melts at every dress, and it's so sweet.
The mother is so precious! You can see she just wants to protect her daughter's feelings when the stepmother made her discouraging comments.

The step mom really felt the need to leave her mark all over that appointment. If you don't love the dress, say what you don't love about it, give her something constructive that would make it better, you don't just take a dump on your step-daughter's feelings. Jeesh. It suddenly became about convincing a person whose opinion IS NOT THE RELEVANT ONE. Her lack of tact was a CHOICE.
These shows are scripted and edited for drama. The truth is, we know nothing about the stepmother, mom and daughter except what the producers wanted us to see. They love it when someone is the fall guy, the evil one, the victim and the hero, etc.

Even if they are scripted I wouldn't want the world to see me in such a negative way. I guess it is her 15 minutes of fame. The mom really did look like she was hurt by the stepmom opinions and actions.

@@kp4911 no one would willingly allow themselves to be painted as the evil stepmother on national tv just to be on tv. And yeah the editors arrange the footage how they want, but they wouldn't have the footage to even arrange if she didn't give it to them by acting this way. I also think you're confused by what Kinda scripting a show like this would use

Step mom is the one who held out until the perfect one. That’s probably why the bride wanted her there. She knew that she and the other two would like everything.
I couldn't agree more. I felt like stepmom was being antagonistic towards her real mom. She should have left the step home.
Kinda feels like they invited the stepmum to please dad and not ruffle feathers. She was going out of her way to be painful. She looked stunning in everything!

She's sweet like her biological mother and perhaps step-mother would have been behaving really badly at home if she wasn't brought along too. If that's how she behaves on a tv show I can't imagine how she'd behave at home when noone's watching!
you knew the step mom was trouble when she said ‘well I’m not sorry’. The mom said she liked a veil and stepmom said ‘a net curtain’ in purposely provocatively to her face. Mom you are a class act. i liked dress 1 and 3 but loved how happy she was. Fifty quid says Trina was an affair haha

You can tell right from the start with the body language of the entourage. Best friend standing between the step mum and the mother. Poor mum was struggling with the situation.

This is one of the loveliest brides I have ever seen on any of these shows! Her personality and beauty radiates and every dress is perfect. The third dress could not be more perfect. As always, Gok is perfection. What a lovely family.

He does the other 2 prior to ensure family, friends and the bride love it when “the dress” is presented.
He even asked about “wiggle room” on the budget as he knew then “the one”!

I am soo amazed,this shop always has the most lavish ,beautiful dresses for a budget that other shops claim there is no ‘acceptable’ dress to be found in!! So this convinces me,whatever your budget,you should always be able to find the dress of your dreams!

The stepmum to me had insecurities but also seemed to not seeing how incredible her stepdaughter looked. I think when taking people to these appointments you need to choose wisely.

I felt that the,stepmom was saying stuff too upset the mum. The look she kept giving the brides mum said it all. No love loss there.

This bride looked BEAUTIFUL IN ALL THREE DRESSES! It seems she brought her stepmother out of respect for her, and in the hopes her mom and stepmother could come to an agreement on something, at last, but the most important opinion was her mother's. AND in the beginning, when they were talking about budget, it was HER MOTHER that said if the right dress went over budget, it would be fine. I didn't like the way the stepmother walked all over the mother, but her input DID HELP them to find THE PERFECT DRESS for the bride, and that's what matters. Her mother was a gem. I am very happy for this bride and wish her and her husband a long and happy marriage . . .

Gok handled the step-mother's obvious insecurities and jealousy very adeptly. Rather than try to emotionally manipulate her into liking the bride's second dress, which would have caused her to dig in and not like anything, he said he was listening to her objections, and then went and found the bride something very similar to the one she'd loved so much but which was somehow even more incredible on her.
I just had this playing in the background and I happened to turn around when she walked out in the dress she choose, and I said out loud 'WOW!'. I mean my goodness - breathtaking! Seriously gorgeous.

Yes it's unusual for Gok to go over budget, but at least he asked, up front, before any dresses were tried on, if there was any kind of wiggle room in the budget if they found "the one" and it was over the family's price point.
I think Gok asked about the budget thing because he already has this dress in mind. They probably pre interviewed the type of dress the bride is looking for.
At least he only went a little over.... not thousands ...
