As a women who doesn't mind getting her hands dirty and one who is sick and tired of getting taking advantage of I truly appreciate this. My Dad was great at this stuff, now he has passed on and I find myself looking at these types of videos. I'm sure missing my Pops, thanks for helping ALL the women out here who are just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm gonna do this myself.... Many blessings to you🙏🏽💜
Thank you for this video, very helpful and straight to the point and I appreciated that you thought us how to follow the line from the turning/not turning compressor at the belt! more learning is always great!
Beautiful AC *Inflation* *Buster* Video! Your Daughter in the background helped convince me even more I could do this _"5 minute AC Job"_ as well. If a great Family Man Father, like yourself, just pulled off this cool repair, then a wild Hollywood Clubgoer, such as myself should easily be able to do the same.
same year but i have the bog horn 5.7 hemi edition and my pump isnt turning on i can't find the clutch relay im not getting power to the pump. am getting power to the pressure swithc . 5 hours looking for the fuse or relay switch and i can't find anything on my ram 1500 bighorn and our ac alternator are in different placement. andyu have any ideas
Thanks for the video I was just gonna ask if that fitting hose will fit on a dodge durango 2015. Cause I try with one set that I buy from a Canadian store but the hose fitting couldn't fit to my low side connector
So what is it if my AC compressor pulley spins but the center of it does not. Does that mean I am completely out of Freon or do I need to change my AC compressor same vehicle as yours
Hello, it sounds like you'll need to test your AC compressor clutch pulley. Here is a good video on how to test it. The easiest way to test it is with the car off from your fuse box at the engine. They guy in this video doesn't have the same truck as us but the concept is exactly the same. czcams.com/video/2NVGB-LulKg/video.html
So I did this exactly like you did and it didn't get any colder....it was blowing COOL before, not HOT but not COLD like it should. What do you think could be the issue? Thanks in advance.
How long did it last for you? I had a shop fill mine and i live in Pa and lasted 2 months during summer. I apparently have a small leak. Did this stop your leak too? Thanks
About 2 years. Thw first time I filled it with stuff from Autozone. It only lasted 2 months. Then I used the stuff from Harbor freight and it was good for another 2 years.
Question if I may. When I hook the can up the guage reads low. The connection is tight, ac on full blast and condenser is spinning. The can stays full and it doesn't seem to be going into the connection? Any advice?
@paulfaiella9820 make sure you turn the can upside down when you squeeze the trigger. After 10 seconds, release the trigger and check to see if it is filling
I wouldn't, but I'm not a mechanic. If your clutch isn't engaging, then you probably have other issues. I'd try to find other videos on the clutch issue or bring it to a mechanic.
I'm currently having this issue. Did this fix your leak problem? I have taken my truck to two mechanics and they can't find a leak. Apparently everything works OK. Thanks
my 14 ram 1500 says factory leak detection dye was added when truck was built so the dealer should be able to find it.... if yours doesn't a shop that had ac machine with a dye leak detection kit should be able to easily find the leak.
Tengo problema con el acondicionado de mí troca es una dog ram 2010 1500 la polea del compresor no jira cuando está ensendido el aire que pasa no acsove el líquido que trato de inyectar
On top of radiator there will be a tag that tells you what type of refrigerant and how much max to put in. On my Ram it holds 2 lbs max. Now this is if it’s completely empty after pulling a vacuum. Those type of cans with the gauge on it you want to keep it in the green. You don’t want it in yellow or red. You have to keep closing off the refrigerant to get an accurate reading, then on then off and so forth until full in the green. Which I’m sure you found out by now.
I have a 2014 ram 1500 and I can’t buy freon for it. Dealer is charging me 525 dollars for the Freon. Not sure if that includes labor🤣🤷♂️. So I can’t go to auto zone or oreily to add freon.
Thank you for this video. You're helping broke folk like us stay cool without breaking the bank.

Yes it should fit. The one that I used will fit
What is that plug for under the 4x4 selector
Good job sir. 👍🏾
If your system is empty on refrigerant, how is your ac compressor turning on ?
Thank you
You rock 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
Good job sir you make wife happy
Do you need to pull a vacuum first?
Should be similar on a 2500 correct?
What engine do you have ? The reason I'm asking., Is bcuz my compressor is located at the bottom
How long did this last for you? Did it seal the leak?
Thanks
Is this the same process mechanics follow as well? Or do they recharge the AC through other longer lasting means?
They have more fancy equipment to do it but yeah it's the same process.
Always thought you had to keep the can upside

Awesome! Has anyone found where their leaking coolant on their truck?? I can’t find mine
It’s usually the evaporator inside of the dash
Had mine fixed a year ago
@@abelscaliber7969 what did that cost you?
Is the ac compressor middle supposed to stop for a minute then spin for awhile... then stop again and repeat?
Not when the AC is on
When A/C is off, yes it will because it cycles the condensation through
Does this help to make it work again? It’s not blowing any air at all when I turn it on so will using this help?
This video won't help with that. Have you checked your fuses and relays?
Frank Morales I haven’t yet. Do you know how? If not I can do some research.
Thank you from us Mexicans lol great help.

It fixed my leak. I had tried several other ones in the past and this is the only one that worked. Hopefully it helps you..
@@frankmorales6295 Thanks for the reply Frank. I recharged the AC and added a extra leak sealant. So far seems OK. Hopefully that does it. Cheers.

They claim for this year model they made it to where they have to only refill thru a 10,000 dollar machine. 😩
It wont fit on the high pressure port the hp is bigger
Read the instructions…it fits on the low pressure port 🙃🙃🙃
I got a 2014 5.7 and dodge told me I needed my refrigerant charged so I asked em what they charge for that? They quoted me $651.93….like fuck
Wow. That's nuts. Now you know how to do it yourself for $30
I have a 2014. Says I need the 1234y shit
U should be doing that at 1500RPM
