Cloud Defensive M-LOK LCS is here! - Zábava
$70 for a piece of aluminum, and there's still visible machining marks. I know its great, but damn i'm already $500 deep on a surefire, new tailcap and tapeswitch.
As for the stream light tape switch I got an mlok kit from brownells, reamed out the screw holes in the switch and mounted it directly to the rail. Fits thumb over boar perfectly on the 1:30 of the aero quantum rail.
ATF now defines vertical grip as being 90 degrees perpendicular to the barrel and forward of the magwell for pistol legally purposes, so your angled BCM vertical grip would be okay even if your pistol were shorter than 26".
Love the ACSS
Nice set up, just subbed!
The Magpul one is also good and simple, I like the Magpul one better
It took me a second to realize that you mark the position of your screws with white paint lol! Not a bad idea!
These are great. I need to pick up a FDE one.
I got the CD Pic rail tape switch mount for my Streamlight HLX. By far the best mount out there, I have mine set up on the 12:00 rail because when I grip the the handguard my thumb is in the PERFECT position to hit that pressure switch
It'd be neat to see something like this for the Streamlight switch, but I believe it's far too big for this application. I think this will be a Surefire ST07 exclusive.
@@Highjak86 You mean the M-Lok version?
I just mount on the pic rail at 12 but i love this
I need one of those mounts.
Do you know if this fits the Olight tape switch? Hey, don’t hate me for asking about Olight lol. I use the Odins for budget builds and/or plinkers. Thanks, love the channel.
Braces count toward OAL, the firearm is to be measured with the brace in the fully extended position.
I've heard two people say this now, but that's 2 out of about 2,000 thus I choose to err on the side of caution.
no longer being and pistol and with a new designation as a firearm are you able to conceal it if you were to put a law tactical folding device on it?
You know the size of the screws for these? I tried mounting mine today and dont have a single alen key that fits..
What buffer weight are you running in the a5 system?
Like your content. I'm wondering how to find that camo bcm grip? I've looked on there site and I don't see that color. I've seen it on a lot of builds but can't find it.
Thanks for replying. Very helpful!
I always prefered the end cap switch cause always thinking that pressure pad cables might snag into something. But yours look pretty snug into your SBR. hmmm...might give cloud D a try.
With the cable management in these mounts that's not really a big concern which is a big perk to this mount.
Good stuff, would like more voice and less music. But that's just me :-)
does this work on quad rails for same slot?
Mega lower? That's a nice build!!
Yep.. Mega Arms
Who makes that front BUIS?
What handgaurd is that?
I thought the 5 position brace,SB tactical sends with the sba3,has to be used?
Dylan Watkins No, it doesn’t.
I just received mine( thank you) but I'm messing around with the m lok nuts and they seem to only thread on a couple turns before it gets ridiculously tight and am worried about it. did you run into this ?
also, im messing around with them off the firearm so it isn't a tightening issue
I want Cloud to make a mount for the Surefire switch with the momentary and constant!🧠🤯🔫
Matt and Sean get this man a OWL and COR...
HA! I wouldn't say no.
Can you tell me the name of that thing that goes on the picatinny? I am having trouble understanding you or to see the name on it so I can find it online
LCS from Cloud Defensive
can you explain the buffer/firearm thing again..
If the permanent OAL is greater than 26" a vertical grip can be attached legally without any paperwork and the gun becomes a "firearm" as opposed to a "pistol". A "pistol" cannot have a vertical grip attached unless you file the federal paperwork for a "AOW".
What optic is that?
Will the streamlight switch work with this also ?
Yes. Some need a special tool to mount the light to the mount cause they stick back over the screws.
What iron sights are you running here? Looks similar to the Spikes. Would the LCS clear the hardware on the sights if they were positioned adjacently (sights at 12 and LCS at 11 o'clock)? My rail doesn't have that blank space that yours does at the front, it's pic and mlok all the way down.
Rear MaTech and front Magpul MBUS Pro. Other than that I don't understand the question you're asking.
@@Highjak86 Thank you for the response. Yeah, my question was not formed very well. I was wondering if the hardware on the sight would clear the raised part of the LCS if they were mounted directly next to each other. So if the thick part of your LCS was directly under the mounting screw on the irons, would it fit. It looks like it would be tight.
@@robhene4633 Oh, I donno. Hard to say without testing, but I think it would clear. This will vary depending on your rail and front BUIS though so lots of variables.
The BCM Foregrip is NOT considered a vertical foregrip. It has a angle to it for that reason. So mounting it onto a "pistol" wouldnt be a issue. At least as far as Ive been able to research. Im not a lawyer but I believe that is why BCMs foregrips are all slightly angled to get around the ATFs unconstitutional "laws" 😂
Wait what, I thought the barrel had to be 16 inches period?
I went to tCloud Defense website and they only sell the mount with a surefire tape switch can i just buy the mount??
Joseph Nubile I don’t think so.
Still would need a Tax stamp for a SBR
What sling? I’ve been looking for a multicam black sling.
Proctor Way of the Gun
Thanks man, headed over to get one now!
I just realized that I think I mounted my cloud defense tape switch holder wrong. haha
Well it can be mounted with the cable coming out the front too if that's what you mean. It's personal preference.
@@Highjak86 no, the wire groove on my tape switch holder is the part that's attached to the rail.
@@130shooter1 Oh yeahhhh don't do that Lol
@@Highjak86 I have mine the other way. Just for the fact if it would ever get caught on something as I move forward. It cant go anywhere but back into the bracket
11.5"s are already over 26"s without the a5 buffer
Mmmmmm not really... they're VERY close with a standard carbine tube and a non-pinned muzzle device. I wouldn't risk it.
@@Highjak86 You measure from the most extreme points of the weapon. If a brace is installed you measure it with the brace fully extended to the end of barrel/muzzle device if pinned. Similar to how you measure for an SBR.
@@kristopherpendergrass8168 Not true at all. The brace is not measured nor is it measured from the full extended position per my understanding of the law. The measurement is done from the end of the permanent rearmost point which is the buffer tube to the permanent frontmost point, in this case the end of the barrel.
@@Highjak86 There were a few ATF letters released from people inquiring about the subject. These are quotes from said ATF letters. "Overall length is measured from the end of the arm stabilizing brace to the end of the barrel, be sure that the weapon is level, a large framing square can help with this.
If a vertical forward grip is fitted and the stabilizing brace is needed to keep the pistols overall length at 26 inches or greater then the vertical forward grip must be removed before the stabilizing brace. If a vertical forward grip is placed on a pistol which is less than 26 inches in overall length an “any other weapon” (AOW) is created. Creating an AOW without first completing the proper NFA forms, paying the required 200.00 tax and receiving approval from the ATF NFA Branch is unlawful and would subject the violator to arrest and prosecution.
We thank you for your inquiry and trust that the foregoing has been responsive to your evaluation request.
Michael S Knapp Program Manager Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Firearms and Explosives Industry Division" It's a common concern because most people think of it in the same way as a muzzle device where it must be permanently attached to meet oal restrictions but it's not the case in this instance. At least for now, the ATF loves to flip flop on these sorts of things, your idea is definitely a much safer approach however.
ATF is constantly inconsistent, but current state of the rules is fully collapsed minus non-permanently attached muzzle devices when measuring OAL. I did a similar setup with BA Hanson 11.3” and the A5 just to be safe. And it runs like a dream.
Good info.. but man.. slow down a bit! ; )
Listen faster! This aint no 45min Nutnfancy video. :)
How much coffee did you drink before the review?
...Just trollin
You lost me at "negligent discharge of the light".
Flashing a light at the wrong time could reveal your position and get you killed
What rail is that?
