  • This is how you calibrate a DumboRC transmitter.
    On a side note, I keep calling it a receiver... It's a transmitter.
    1. Turn off transmitter and ESC.
    2. Hold full left and full throttle.
    3. While still holding, turn on the transmitter.
    4. Release steering and throttle.
    5. Press the channel 3 button(The light starts flashing).
    6. Move the steering and throttle to all there endpoints(Full left/right/throttle/brake).
    7. Press the channel 3 button(The light stops flashing).
    You can download the manual from here: www.dumborc.com/en/2019/10/21/...
    Or just look at the image I've uploaded here: imgur.com/sR5Pni9

    • @bjsrandomrcs1352
      @bjsrandomrcs1352  Před 2 lety +1

      I asked about braking, is because it sounds like you have to reverse the throttle and maybe also the motor.
      There's a number of combination at play.
      By identifying which throttle position activates the brakes, you narrow down the possibilities.
      For example, when you try to accelerate the ESC might receive a reverse/brake signal, but if your motor is also wired in reverse, the car still goes forward, but at reversing speed.

    Hi
    I have the JLB Cheetah 120 amp RC car. The problem that I'm having right now is when
    ever I want to go faster there's... on my Dumbo RC remote.
    Whenever I turn the top throttle button to 3 it moves backwards on its own.
    The top is 0-3 left and right.
    As for the bottom throttle button for speed. 0-100.
    Whenever I turn the bottom button...to 75% of 100, the car moves forward by itself.
    Can you help me fix this problem?

    • @bjsrandomrcs1352
      @bjsrandomrcs1352  Před 2 lety

      The top dial is for centering the forward and backwards movement, in most cases you leave it at 0 or use it to find the ESC's zero position (Where the car doesn't move by itself).
      The bottom dial is for limiting the top speed, and should be left at 100 unless you want to go slower.
      It sounds like you need to adjust the top dial around 0.
      Depending on the ESC you use, you might also need to calibrate the ESC to transmitters endpoint's.
      ESC's from companies like hobby wing has this feature, but many cheaper ESC's don't.

      @@bjsrandomrcs1352
      Okay I tried to put to at 0, but it reverse moving by itself.
      As for the speed, I have to have it between 75 and 50% for it to stay steady without any movement.
      So I never really hit the maximum speed.
      For example if I set my throttle speed button to 100% while it's off. When I turn on my remote control then car, what's going to happen is my wheels are going to be spending real real fast until I turn it down to like 50% and is going to stop.
      I was thinking that I need to recalibrate it. Could you tell me how to recalibrate it back to the factory settings.

    • @bjsrandomrcs1352
      @bjsrandomrcs1352  Před 2 lety

      If you calibrated the transmitter, you might have touched the throttle trigger while setting the neutral position.
      That would cause the neutral, to be the same as the amount of forward movement, that you are getting.
      If that's the case, recalibrate the transmitter like in the video.
