- Welcome back to my series where we list Every Change the Ocean(Saban) Dub made to Dragonball Z, this time we take a lot at the Dragonball Z movies known as The Dead Zone, The World's Strongest and The Tree of Might.
I've gone through every second of animation in order to list every change in the Ocean Dub (also known as either the Saban Dub or Pioneer Dub) that was made when localising Dragonball Z.

Saban watched the scene of Gohan getting drunk and thought "This won't do!" and then made it into a scene of him tripping on psychedelics instead

The World's Strongest- Ocean dub added one of my favorite Master Roshi lines "You want to see how tough I am"
Fun fact: these were all just general changes the Ocean dubs of movies 1 and 2 made, even on the uncut releases:
- Gohan being high rather than drunk after eating the acid apple.
- Garlic’s henchmen’s battle cries being completely different.
- Ebifurya’s Frozen Fist being referred to as “Freezing Blow” instead.

The Ocean dub had good voices, but the censorship was just too ridiculous and ruined the show. It wasn’t until the Funimation group dubbed DBZ that it became successful.
Ocean would’ve made dbz very successful in America if funi had been able to keep up with how much money ocean was asking for. Funi always had the gift of time which was why they got to where they did.
@@indepth9930 funimation is the plague of the English dub industry. Its so sad to see people with genuine passion get shafted by Funimation just because they're more popular when they don't deserve to be.

That's the Japanese pronounciation to Shenron's name.
Shenron is for the dub, Shenlong is the actual name.
That’s Shenron’s actual name. Actually, it’s Shen Long.
Actually, in the ocean dub, they don't even call him Shenron. They just call him "The Eternal Dragon."
