It's great how he marks the ball valve, then the warning pipe and the ball valve mark disappears, then he drills the ball valve and when the warning pipe hole is drilled, the ball valve hole has magically filled in, then - when he marks the breather and vent the 2 side holes are filled in again! Don't you just love continuity!
@@EarendilTheBlessed I expect he would if he could afford it. Bit like saying hire a chauffer instead of learning to drive yourself, very nice but not everyone can 😊
Fitted one of these as shown here. However I now want to add another output connection to feed the shower separately. Could I add this on the side of the tank at the opposite end to the ball valve? I have two output pipes on the end already so I don't want to make it difficult for myself having to connect a third in a confined space. Also if I come out the side I only need to do a 90 degree bend towards the shower rather than a 180 degree bend helping with shower pressure. I was just wondering if the side of the tank was as strong as the back? If any plumbers could give me their thoughts it would be appreciated 😌
If this is for diyers he should have used an open tank and shown you on the inside sometimes those tank connectors move when tightening the nut on the outside and show them how to hold it in place when tightening.
The outlet should ALWAYS oppose the inlet(ballvalve). From a AcoP L8 point of view, this install is not acceptable and would need remedial work, Not to mention an air vent was not fitted.
What is the purpose of cold water tank. I have plastic cold water tank in loft of my 1970s built home. I also have hot water tank, i am planning to upgrade to combi boiler, will i have to remove cold water tank too?
This video has been re dubbed like a Bruce Lee movie. The original had subtitles included to accompany the video . I preferred the original. Nothing wrong with the guy's accent. Perfectly understandable

a very good video, that shows very well, the basic installation requirements of a CWSC
I would welcome a video dealing with raising a cold water tank and how to overcome/calculate structural issues.

Hire an engineer?

Where did he connect the 22mm flow pipe???? When he filled the tank, surely it flooded the loft lol 😢

Superb tutorial 💪
should have really showed how to insulate the pipes too, good video though
Anyone here in 2020? Haha can’t believe the music they used to add to these videos !!!! It’s so jarring.
Parts of the video make it look like the outlet is on opposite side of the inlet and other parts show it on the same side??
Can you put fittings on long side of tank?
Why are the hole saw sizes so odd? You can’t buy half the hole saw sizes from Screwfix etc. surely you can you standard 22, 25 and 35mm hole saws?
Surley the rubber goes on the inside and nut outside
I will like to see a video with instructions. how to install 12 cold water plastic tanks

I just called Lester Deeley plumbing LTD and he sorted it out

Yes you will have to remove all of the water storage tanks, and cut back and seal off closed all water feed pipes.
