    These days , f&e and storage cisterns are more likely removed rather than installed.
    However, I think all new installers should have an understanding of these installations, if only to add to their knowledge base.
    On the point of potential maximum storage weights, the actual capacity is less than the nominal capacity and therefore, worst case scenario the maximum weight of the cistern would be higher than 227litres?

    Hi Tom kat there’s a regulation regarding the vent pipe going into the cold water storage cistern regarding legionella it must go into a tundish and not into the cold water cistern.

      Nothing of that in the water regulations so what regs have you seen that in

      Did a bpec legionella risk assessment course and it was mention. if the vent pipe pumps over into the cold water storage tank the temperature can go over 20 degrees, if you run the vent pipe into dundish increase 22mm to 28mm and run it out side as in your unvented regs it will stop this appending .
