    Neat little trick with the broom handle.

    Thanks so much for the broom handle trick. This is exactly what I needed to watch. My bulkhead fitting on the bottom of my tank is stripped and I need to replace it.

    Friendly tip: you really don’t need the 3rd hole/fitting. You can come out of both tanks and tee into one pipe to the pump. They will both fill and empty equally.

  • @paynespressurewashing
    @paynespressurewashing Před měsícem +1

    You can also add a inline water filter to help prevent contamination from getting into your pump

    Great video! Let us know how difficult it was to get all those shavings out? Wondering if install the bull heads first and then rinsing out would make sense. Hope it cleans up easy.

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  Před 3 lety +1

      I get my bulkheads from grainger. They sell the nice banjo brand. You may also be able to find them local at hardware stores. I’m sure Amazon has them too. I have a set of Milwaukee hole saws from Home Depot. The Hole saw is the attachment that goes on the drill. Very handy. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Yes to make a 200 gallon tank. Thought about just getting a 200 gallon tank but this way will reduce the sloshing around when driving with water. Stay tuned, I’ll update it. Waiting on a few parts. Thanks for watching.

      PWS-WD100CMT. They are called Water Dragon 100 gallon water tanks from Power Wash Store. They are only available through them.

    I'm putting together a rig and have two 55 gallon tanks. For the buffer tank bulkhead fitting, do you use any sort of teflon tape or glue to seal the fitting? Thanks in advance.

    • @ExpertPowerWash

      The bulk head seals it self. As for the threads, I use true blue.

    Does the tank have to be 100gal or more to work? Do you know an inexpensive place to get tanks from

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  Před 2 lety

      Too many variables. Depends on the machine pulling the water. There is no inexpensive place to get tanks. I can recommend an IBC tote as a good value option.

      You can put the usual stuff on top of one or the other or mix or both doubling up. They're connected at the bottom and will fill up at the same time.

      New Jersey Window & Gutter Cleaning LLC it would probably cost more than you want to spend. If still interested, you could email me expertpowerwash@gmail.com. I would honestly recommend Arkansas Softwash Kits, Gen 2 soft wash kit, or Pressure Teks set up. All good setups. You will probably be around $1500 unless you build it yourself.

    What size drill bit do I use for a 1” bulk head ?

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t remember the exact size. Some are different depending on the brand. I’d buy a set because you will eventually need other sizes. It’s more expensive to buy them separate. Think I paid $30 for a Milwaukee set. It’s getting close to the holidays, you will see them on sale at Home Depot. Hope that helps.

    Why not use an IBC tank? They hold more water, and are cheap... Also, what's with the pulsing the drill and holesaw on and off? Idiots do it that way. Rather than using a broom handle, use a garden hose to poke through the drilled hole, and slide the fitting down the hose and into the hole. Your way worked, but a hose will bend and that's easier. IBC tanks are cheap, since companies ship liquids around and often have them surplus for low costs. I can get a 250 gallon IBC in FL for $100 or so.

      There's more than one way to do everything. Also it's said in an older comment that it's to help reduce water sloshing around.
