I have taken tests with 5 companies, including 23&Me. They were all different - some substantially so.
I should also add that the medical revelations these tests report are very questionable and should never be relied on. See your doctor for professional DNA tests.
They are scams to get everyone's DNA.
I won't take a DNA test because I don't let others interpret DNA for me, since that would be gullible. Moreover, most of mankind has not been fully genetically analyzed. Not even close to the majority. So the genetic information known is skewed by the limited selection based on wealth. If there is a gene for a big nose, someone can say "Jewish gene!" but that would be an argument from ignorance fallacy, and so it is with other claims of "this gene proves you're of that race."
Brian Rodgers 23andMe is owned by Google and they only want to store your DNA so they can use it later. It’s literally the only information they couldn’t sell before, now you gave it to them willingly for some BS „science“ in return

What are the other sites you're feeding your dna data to to get a better read on your results?
Figureight It could be GEDmatch or DNA Land. I haven't done any research on those two, so I'm not sure.
To expand your results, download your raw DNA data from the original site (23 and me in this case) and use GEDMatch www.gedmatch.com/, Gene Plaza www.geneplaza.com/ , and Promethease promethease.com/

I never knew about the option to download the raw data to further unlock her background. Thanks! I would love for her to watch this but your language is a bit too salty for children. 😉

It actually covers north italy to north germany. West side deep in the french land and east until east poland. German bloodline is hughe. All big royal familys: Russia, British, German... had german blood.

Royal families do not give you a good baseline for the rest of the population though they were playing game of thrones but eventually became quite more inbred than the general population due to the small gene pool they had to play with

Nice video guys! just a side note for clarity Fanagalo is not the language of the Cape coloured, technically the the Cape was a Dutch colony so the Cape coloured speak Afrikaans which is pidgin Dutch. Fanagalo however originates from the British Colony based in Durban in the Natal province and is a mixture or Zulu and English and has a very tiny bit of Afrikaans influence, so it's pidgin Zulu... bit of useless information there ;)
You should do a follow up video. All the major testing companies update from time to time. I’m as white as can be but my initial results gave me 2% North African. That eventually dropped out.

I think the best part of this video is that c-milk did some research and found other sources for checking out the DNA kinda just encourages me to want and do one of these test myself and then find out how deep a rabbit hole that can be

I love the theory, but as the percentage indicates the mix goes much futher back or else it would be higher, some of it could be true. This was awesome guys!

Also, the use of the health probabilities has not been intended to predict what someone will die of, but rather it has to do with relative likelihood of having a general ailment. Such as heart disease, for example, while having heart disease it will not necessarily result in having a fatal heart attack.

23andMe has an updated "See all tested populations" option beneath the ancestry results that goes into much more detail about specific countries, and it's more accurate than the third party services. Unfortunately, you guys didn't show that part in the video, but it was entertaining nonetheless.

It never ceases to amaze me the degree to which people are unable to view themselves through the lens with which others see them. The dude on the left appeared to me, merely through watching one of his videos to be pretty much exactly the composition that the testing revealed. I have seen this "phenomenon" play out, over and over again when people do this type of research and perform a public "undressing" of sorts. The subjects of the testing are most often surprised by the results and I "call it" every time out.

You guys might want to think about high passing your audio -- this video has a huge amount of powerful low end noise that almost blew out one of my desktop speakers, at an otherwise normal listening level.
Did you zoom in closer on the 23 and me results? You can see what areas of specific countries you have known genetic markers for. For instance my Irish ancestry can be tracked back to 2 counties, Donegal and Cork.
Sooner or later there's gonna be a TLC show where some generic white guy is going to take this test and then travel all around the world to wherever his test results give him.

Ancestry had an update a couple months ago in for the ethnicity reporting. My sample breakdown shifted to include more Norwegian and Swedish. I'm guessing more comparisons came in for those regions. Originally it was more British/Irish with a smaller smidgen of the former. Either way, it's still essentially Whitey McWhiterson for Whitesville for me.
