We got out to Mam Tor in the Peaks to get some flying in but the weather was typically British :)
A little bit dull, threatening with rain and a gentle breeze, so instead of half an hour of regular flying I tried to do some wingover training as well as top landing as these days where there isn't much thermal turbulence are perfect for that.

Hi, bandarra, i guess you have learnt a lot since this video, but for the others reading this: the mistake that you're making, is typical. Everyone does it, and it's a safe mistake. You are not letting the wing dive after every turn. You need to release the brakes to build up energy, because now, it's just a series of dynamic turns. Nor harm done, though.
What's in the massive backpack you wear when you fly, is that a safety parachute or something else?
It's a flying harness. Some and bigger some are smaller. This one is a bit big because it has a reserve parachute under the seat and a pouch to put all your stuff behind your back.
This is castelton Sheffield
Im looking to buy a paraglider this week im already ultralight pilot, any suggestions
Take lessons first, then demo wings with your school or others at the site.
What do you mean by you are an ultra light pilot? you are looking for ultra light gear or you are someone who is not heavy?
Take lessons, if you are an ultralight pilot who flies a powered hang glider, you will need to learn to fly a paraglider, these are entirely different beasts from a fixed wing aircraft. If you wont heed to sense and gonna end up flying anyway, at least make sure is a training/ENA wing and make sure your last will and testament is up to date.
I agree, get some training first and choosing your equipment after that will be much easier (and safer)
.. nice video(s) but it might be helpful for us pilots from abroad with some "touch" to the British to find the location (always) written in the descreption .. is this spot Ma´m Tor?! .. then Iflew there 2 years ago with an even lower visibilty than the cloud base was also on a windy day ..
that's the place!
what gloves are those? they look COMFY
Don’t remember, some cheap Lidl ones or something like that
All demm chikken
