😂
Ive just binge watched all your videos. This is the least accurate video. (excluding sci-fi because i know nothing about it)
Looks good, jut the sound is really wrong, it takes like 30 seconds for the sound to travel 10 km
Its insane that the Tsar Bomb originally had double the power before they reduced it by half before they tested it..
Yeah, the plane wouldn't have made it otherwise. Even so, I think the plane plummeted 2 km before the pilot regained control.
57 megatons....and that two-faced lying pipsqueak Zelensky is trying his damndest to drag the West into a full-on war with Russia.
Indeed insane. I hadn’t grasped before… 80+ km radius reach (and potentially more), that’s between 45mins to 1hr driving on a car at close to Highway speeds. Crossing the explosion from one end to the next through the middle would be double that time.
It’s massive 😮
@@blaircox1589 That's when you know you've found an interesting science job.
@@blaircox1589 and moving Earth on it's orbit too which would lead to a many disasters worldwide:) crazy
The explosion i made in the toilet after taco bell should have been in here.
😂😂
The computing power necessary for such a calculation is still unavailable to us.
1:46 u mean this?
Yes
🤣🤣🤣
the last one literally send shiver down my spine. Just imagine witnessing an explosion like that in the distance, and not feeling the shockwave at first, only to be blown away moments later
you wont be blown away youll be vaporized XDD
you would survive the blastwave, heat and radiation, not at all.
@@bariscankaya6754 yep. Instant microwave action plus all moisture removed instantly
That bomb was originally double its power, meaning 120 kms approx . 🗿 They nerfed it.
If you see that explosion directly with naked eyes you get blindness
I like how the blast from the Tsar Bomba was so powerful it pushed that big Red Side sign up.
😂
The power to destroy a small moon is insignificant compared to the power of this battle station.
Boom goes the nuke in the shuttle bay. Bye goes the DS.
Rip gpu💀
how is this the highest rated comment?
I assure you, we are quite safe from your friends here
Save the rebellion save the dream
Amazing. Maybe next time show slower and from a slightly higher angle to represent the width of the explosion aswell.
Agree
Width and height both are shown.
For example width and height of tsar is 80 km and 60 km.
Yes they're written, but to SEE the visual from that angle is much better.
you have good ideas
I was thinking the same thing
For once, an explosion comparison video that is actually accurate, doesn't massively exaggerate, yet still is awe inspiring. Nice work
I just wish the sound was more accurate. Gives a much more realistic feel when you have to wait for a whil until you hear it.
@@Jokkkke The video did that?
@@user-dh8oi2mk4f The sound traveled way quicker than it would've in real life. At a certain point, it would've been more immersive to just cut out the sounds completely around the time when the nuclear explosions began. Here's an example. It took roughly ~3 seconds for the sound from Tsar Bomba to reach 80km in the video. That means it was traveling at ~96000km/h, which is ~78 times faster than normal. At this point, the speed of the sound in the video makes the explosions feel extraordinarily unnatural to me. Turning off the volume made those explosions much cooler though
@@JokkkkeI’m absolutely 1000% w/ you & I came to the comments specifically to find out if I was the only one that felt this way. I’m always disappointed in just about every video, game, movies, etc. when they think for some reason the flash & sound need to be synced up & they greatly exaggerate the speed shock waves radiate.
To me, the longer the wait to hear & “feel it”, the greater the anticipation, the more I sink down in the seat on my safe side of the screen, the tighter I clinch my jaw, knowing the more seconds that tic silently by… *HoOo BuCkLe ThEE fUcK uP!!* _…this ones big boys…_
The accuracy, the effort put into the effects, the content. That's definitely a sub my guy
Pretty sure these are all unreal assets bud
That's illegal and gay
@@tradd1763 it’s still very well executed.
@@tradd1763 hatin ass mf
He did very well. The only thing I will add is that nuclear weapons are far more terrifying than this. They don't stop after 2 seconds, the thermonuclear weapons will have a bright flash as strong as the sun which lasts up to 20 seconds. That is 20 seconds of completely roasting anything within 30 miles of the bomb. It is truly a horror which no one can comprehend.
The terrifying thing is that the scientists had to halve the Tsar Bombas power so the pilots would even survive the trip back
They also attached a parachute to the bomb to slow its descent.
@@waverlyking6045 Totally forgot about that tidbit. And even with all these "precautions," the pilots still almost died, man.
The pilot who flew the plane was so freaked out about the experience that he never flew again.
@@Alexander-vb7ov also probably because he was getting free drinks in bars everywhere he went for the rest of his life with that story LOL
So the plane crews would have a _50% chance_ of survival. What I don't know is, were the crews told that beforehand?
This video had no business being in such good graphical detail, its really fantastic.
The were still able to measure the shockwave of the Tsar Bomb after it had passed around the entire earth three times. Imagine if they didn't reduce the power of the bomb by half.
As weird as it is, it wouldn't have changed much. After Roughly 50 megatons of yield it starts hitting diminishing returns in destructive power because of the curvature of the earth. Beyond that point any more energy added is just lost up and outward into the atmosphere.
@@MrRagdoller at that point i think you would have to start worrying about splitting the crust, or blowing the atmosphere away. haha
@@daniel-it2lw fortunately that would never happen
@@daniel-it2lwWe've been hit by worse, and the earth is still here. The Chixulub Impact, the meteor that killed the dinosaurs along with three quarters of the rest of life on earth at the time? 100 *million* megatons. Compared to stuff like that, nuclear weapons are almost quaint.
What would there be to imagine? It would just be twice the regular number.
1:41 the detailis insane. It even took a few seconds to get the sound 10/10
yeah ik it's not %100 realistic but it's kts better then it being instant
Yes, I also noticed that. Very realistic.
Irl it would take close to 30 seconds for the sound to get there but yeah I like the detail too
Wow
On that time you can hardly hear the siren
@@basinho0211 lmao, no, it would take almost 5 minutes. 85+-km distance, whereas sound travels only 300m/s
Big respect to cameraman withstanding all those explosions and travelling great distance to give us beautiful content by literally risking his life
He didn't risk his life. He simply beyond life and death itself.
Waouh, very funny, Its the very first time I read a joke like this ! how original !
@@LeNumidium the cameraman thingy is getting boring now
@@luishenrycamacho3159 Yes, for real, Its just like when theres the comment on classical/medieval music "Oh I was a kid back then, good old days" so annoying, always the same jokes on each videos, internet became so boring
@@LeNumidium Hey man are you judging the cameraman he isn't even getting paid give him some respect.
Impressive! I was just expecting to see the damage level indicated too, but the surroundings stood as static sprites
The mushroom clouds are ok to watch. But it would be cool to see a blast radius comparison. That would probably be more informative. Along with heat levels, various detonation altitudes, etc.
nukmap search and click on the first link
1:12 was terrifying, poor people of Japan. I can't even imagine the othe ones afterwards in real life. Its too crazy
So true i hate americans for this 😔
That was just the tip of the iceberg
Research tzar bomba
Shut up
They deserved it with all the massacre and beheading, also burying of civilians alive.
I appreciate having the visual of the explosion in the animation play before the sound of it comes. That’s realistic. It makes it feel like I’m actually watching them in person. Great job.
I mean....
I love how the boom effect isn’t heard until several moments later.
The speed of light in contrast to the speed of sound is so pronounced.
Speed of light is 671 million mph. Speed of sound is 767 mph. I'd hope there'd be a discernable difference
The work he puts in is fantastic, you just got a new sub
Amazing and terrifying … also great 3D work 👌
The fact that multiple of those Tall Boy bombs were required to sink a single warship is astonishing.
Which warship?
@@user-gz5be6cs6c K.M.S Tirpitz
@@user-gz5be6cs6c German battleship Tirpitz was sunk by tallboys. I think it took 3-4 hits.
The RAF got 2 direct hits the other missed but 2 was enough.
I love the sound delay approximation in accordance to distance. Wish I found this when I was still a teacher. New sub definitely!
You are the next evolution of some of the most fun "educational" videos on here. My nephew is going to loooooooooooove this! Thank You!
Imagine the suprise when you throw a fire cracker for fun and it accidently struck like a Tsar Bomba xD
A definite sub for sure! Loved it dude!!!!
Shows actual intensity of these weapons, and gave me goosebumps 👍
Great comparisons!. Ideally also show relative decibel levels for each :-)
great video! cant believe the quality this was in. will most definitely be hitting that subscribe button and smashing the like !
These explosion animations are gorgeous.
1:50 red side’s computer
😂
Listening to the sirens right after Castle Bravo induced such a hype in me, I knew the biggest bro of all was coming. But instantly felt sad as I recalled what it was made for.
these are the dopest videos in existence, prove me wrong
with animations like this, I'm excited to watch your videos
Good joob 👍
Awesome 3D work! Is this rendered in Unreal 5 by any chance?
Yes he said it in description
Would be nice to see a video including naturally occuring explosions. Would love to see the Chixculub impact explosion to scale!
Would of dwarfed everything including tzar. To see any of it (for more than just a few seconds) would require your distance to be so far away that all you would see (due to curvature of the Earth) is a blazing hot gigantic wall of super heated atmosphere and deadly hypersonic material that might arrive at your location even before the blast wave does
Unbelievable sick work guys.
That was badass
You should do volcano eruptions. Or impacts events.
Actually both.
subbed!!! great quality content
Amazing graphics and sound!!!
2:10. Should've ended with the big bang.... Fade to black ❤❤❤❤❤
I must have watched this a 1000 times, can't get enough of it.
you animations are so good so detailed and ilove how u include things that like the speed of sound and stuff not everyone would notice specially since some people watch without sound on smartphone and stuff.
Who’s here after Oppenheimer?
Oh? Yeah.
Wow! Impressive video as always. May I ask, what 3d software are you using? Would really appreciate it. Thanks ❤
Unreal Engine 5
insane work and editing ... hatsoff
Awesome job! Great video!!
Огромное спасибо за труд !!!
Seeing that the largest nuke that was built quite some time ago could possibly deter an incoming astroid with a big ass explosion that makes it’s honestly kind of settling in today’s times with what possible technology we have to deter an impact
Really enjoyed the sound design and animations
This was awesome! You should do one that includes asteroid impacts as well
With the fear I have running away from a large firecracker after lighting it, I just can't image what the pilots who dropped the tsar Bomb must've felt seconds after dropping it...
To be honest the Tsar Bomb is definitely holding the record for the most powerful nuclear bomb ever man-made in history in 1962
55 megaton of TNT.
that's the half-yield version. the full thing had 110. they lowered it because they feared at full power it would burn the atmosphere off.
The UUV Poseidon warhead has a yield of 100 megatons, so the tested Tsar Bomba is not the most powerful weapon ever created.
@@Freeman120488 huh never heard UUV Poseidon Warhead. Is it a nuclear bomb ?
@@Freeman120488 well my friend I just looked it up and it a torpedo and not even nearly as powerful as the Tsar Bomb the UUV Poseidon is a torpedo. It only made for sinking ships or submarine, it could pack a 2,000 KiloTon which is still power but not enough. Here the bomb you're talkin about the AN602 RDS-220 Vanya and here's why they're more powerful then a Tsar Bomb.
👉However, the Soviet Union developed three AN602 physics packages at 101.5 megatons (Mt) and these are more powerful than the Tsar Bomba, which was downscaled to 51 Mt before being used RDS-220 Vanya👈
Next time search which is the most powerful bomb that is more than the Tsar Bomb.
@@gagesanchez7367 Poseidon is an unmanned underwater vehicle with a nuclear reactor on board. It can dive to depths of up to 1,000 meters and travel at 100 knots (185 km/h) using the supercavitation effect. It carries a 100 megaton warhead with a cobalt section (cobalt bomb).
The main purpose is the destruction of coastal cities with the help of an artificial tsunami and maximum contamination by a radioactive cloud inland.
Gotta say, the Earth environment is so cool, like panning across a video game map.
These are really great videos, Thank you for the very informative entertainment 😁
so realistic, even acknowledges you don't hear explosions *instantly* after the explosion
Well done, Tsar Bomba explosion was what I was expecting. Just imagine that explosion was only 50% of its yield..
wonderful work.. I'm very impressed
Worth watching twice, good job!
This legit gave me goosebumps, I hope to never see a nuclear bomb in real life.
Would be fantastic to see also explosions from Krakatoa and that massive one in Beirute.
I love how he accurately delays the sound of the explosion in the really distant ones
I loved the siren sounds that started after Castle Bravo exploded
This is S tier content. Well done. 👍
Nice touch with the sound having a delay due to the distance
Loving this channel :)
Wow, fantastic work!
Muy original el concepto de comparación y muy realista, visualmente se ve muy bien y muy bien logrado 👍
0:36 for anyone wondering, that’s the Statue of Unity of Vallabhbhai Patel, not Mahatma Gandhi getting nuke happy again. (Which is only an urban legend)
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
I literally watched this last night and dreamed about it. I was in my hometown by the river and I could feel it coming but no one else could and before I realised what was about to happen it clicked, all sound was eliminated and I saw a massive white flash and the flames rising up and spreading into the sky way above the clouds and then I heard it, I didn’t want to die so I ran into this concrete building to survive (if it was real I would have died but I survived in the dream). The existence of the Tsar Bomba is scary and it’s even scarier to think that was during the 60s what are we capable of now.
Phobos is smaller then the tsar WHAT but what makes sense is Phobos is an astroid
This video is awesome. Do you have any comparison videos of volcanic eruptions? It would be great.
Boom 💥
Props to the cameraman for showing no fear even in the face of a Tsar Bomb explosion
The cameraman was far away from the explosion
Disclaimer: No PCs were harmed during making this video
godlike representation and animation, bravo bravo!
Terrifying. Also, very unsettling to consider the time, effort, money, brainpower, etc. dedicated to creating these overwhelming levels of destruction.
Agreed. Imagine those same efforts put to use for good....
Theses weapons of "overwhelming levels of destruction" brought more peace then destruction
I suggest you watch the upcoming movie Oppenheimer by Christopher Nolan. That's gonna be one hell of a movie.
What is Red Side's PC config?
Awesome vids! Subscribed!
Love the effects!
Tsar Bomb is definitely my favorite!!!!!!
And they wanted to make it a 100 kiloton device!!
What would that have looked like?!!?
I don't know but i definitely sure no one can describe how it looks afterwards 😂
Mike, Megaton*
Nuclear missiles should never be used 😢🙏🏼
Oh believe me they are extremely necessary in the modern world armies will do anything at all costs and I mean ANYTHING to win. Killing and raping civilian girls and women yo burning POWs alive all this to weaken enemy morale. Its been used in past wars I dont see these barbaric things in war going out anytime soon
Nuclear missles should never bre created at all in first place, who in the fuck have thought create a nuclear stuff could be benefictional to "everyone", nuclear weapons is current used for evil purposes (ahem russia, fucking north korea with that pathetic dictador, and USA and etc...) i hate it with guts, and i'll forever hate whoever brings the end of the world.
Tsar Bomba is more powerful than I expected.
But nothing compared to power of nature supervolcanoes make it look like a joke
This is horrifying yet marvelous great job !
This is the video my subconscious has been looking for for years. I'm enlightened now
You should have countinue with asteroid then super nova and end with the big bang
This series could be continued due to natural natural explosions. For example, the explosion of the Krakatoa volcano in 1883 or the asteroid that killed dinosaurs.
That would be cool
Even the Beirut explosion would've been nice to see compare to real bomb.
absolutely stunning !
i like tha fact that image comes earlier than sound, nice detail
0:08
I wonder did they’re shield withstand the TSAR bomb?
Yes
would be interesting to see the scale of damage caused by them
That would be incredibly subjective to where and when they were detonated.
Incroyablement bien réalisé.
Franchement bravo et merci c’est du very Good job 👌👍👏
Hats off to Great work 👏
Imagine strapping nacelle to an asteroid we find in the Belt, gently bring it
back, set it down. Mine it. What would we find? New Elements, ores?
Remnants of an ancient world? I think we should explore the Belt more
thoroughly.
A trillion dollars of rare metals
Not Ancient world, no new elements. Maybe new ores with known elements.
@@qw3rtypd4ng3r Please learn basic economics- if the Market is suddenly flooded with something- the price goes *down*. Millions of tons of gold would make it abundant and cheap, not rare and expensive. Unless you hoard, then gouge.
@@xstar9567 You don't think the Belt could've been a planet? The only Elements we know are what we have here, on Earth. (unless you believe in and count the Moon landing & samples retrieved, but they are supposedly same Elements we have here) So you think there's *nothing* new to be discovered?
@@HUBBABUBBADOOPYDOOP Could, could, could...
Yeah, it could have been a planet.
It could have been a livable planet.
It could have had life.
It could have had intelligent life.
It could have been that that intelligent life developed civilizations.
But all those could's are probably not probable and we shouldn't waste looking for past civilizations on asteroids when we have intact planets, moons and exoplanets to do that. And even there, the chances are minimal.
You have to prioritize your ressources.
And the Tsar Bomba was only at 50% of power capacity...
Been waiting years for this kind of animation on explosions size comparison
having the camera near the ground really adds to the effect. The Tsar bomba was scary as f..
(great work in all the effects smoke/sound etc...)
Nice graphics but some inaccuracies. E.g. for nukes the light from the fireball will reach you first long before the pressure wave, not the other way around.
I'm glad those bystanders had their energy shields up. Things got a little crazy
Hi cool vid, you could do one with acidental explosions, like halifax, grain elevator explosions, that sort of thing 😊
Well, that video sure exploded in views! Excellent work!
You could have made this video 10:00 minutes long and didn’t. *RESPECT*
