They should let them write the episodes. I mean, they've been doing those characters for so long, they know them better than anyone, comedy would just flow naturally. Harry had first hand experience of that when he made This is Spinal Tap.

It’s weird to be 44 and that the show started when I was in the 8th grade as a mid-season replacement. They did a Simpsons Christmas special. Dan didn’t have Homer’s voice worked out yet. Milhaus’s hair was black not blue. The animation was really crappy. They started out as a series of shorts on the Tracy Ulman show. Over 30 years later and they’re still going.

Um? He sounds like the Robot Devil -- the only Futurama character he voices. The Robot Devil is much closer to his natural voice than Homer is.
