People don't really appreciate voice actors as much as movie or TV actors. The voice actors are the ones with far more talent yet least heard of. "I know that voice" is a great documentary to watch if you're appreciative of voice actors.
Dan plays all the loveable fools, the losers, the ones you don't fear. But the only reason he can bring all these characters is the empathy he shows his fellow man, the love for humanity. It's so beautiful.
Robin Williams did the voice in the first and third movies, but Dan actually voiced Genie in the second movie and the tv series, so he is technically correct.
It amazes me that actors like this can so consistently and effortlessly do various character voices. What's even more amazing is that you can have his different characters in the same scene and you would never know that they're all voiced by the same guy.
Dan Castellaneta is great. No matter what you put him in he is great. Also besides doing Simpsons voices, Castellaneta has provided roles on Rugrats, Grandpa Phil in Hey Arnold, and a whole lot. He also did voices for Golden Films adaptations of classic fairy tales. Again those are ok. What made them better was Castellaneta and Don Messick (who did voices in a lot of the adaptations). Hope he keeps voicing more and more because Dan is great.
There's a recurring character based on Charles Bronson that comes up now and then. He's usually a tough guy type. I wish he would have done that voice.
gus ..i agree ..i hope he realizes how good he is and how much joy he has brought me with his sense of humor and characters on The Simpsons ....pure magic
Many more than that! Blue-haired Lawyer ● Capital City Goofball ● Charlie ● Frankie the Squealer ● Gary ● Barney Gumble ● Gil Gunderson ● Itchy ● Kodos ● Krusty the Clown ● Larry ● Louie ● Sideshow Mel ● Hans Moleman ● Joe Quimby ● Rich Texan ● Sam ● Santa's Little Helper ● Abraham Simpson ● Homer Simpson ● Snowball II ● Snowball V ● Squeaky-Voiced Teen ● Groundskeeper Willie ● The Yes Guy
In my opinion, although the legendary voice actor Mel Blanc nicknamed "Man Of 1000 Voices" can't be touched, he has left a big legacy and has influenced a lot of voice actors and voice actresses to become legendary talented voice actors. Dan Castellaneta and Seth MacFarlane are the closest to him in my opinion.
This guy is simply EPIC.. one of my favorite American artist... His voice of Homer saying " i seem to have lost my pants" is my all time favorite quote. This is the ultimate Homer, trying to be serious and smart in a totally funny and ridiculous way...
This man was often referred to as the man of 1000 voices. He made a list once, I believe it was nine hundred and something distinctly different original characters and impressions.
Dan Castellaneta and Seth Macfarlane are the most talented voices on TV cartoons, especially with how many different key characters they do for their shows (respect to Harry Shearer) ....and their crossover Simpsons episode with the Family Guy characters was excellent.
this guy deserves every penny he makes!
I wonder if Dan orders pizza with Barney's voice.
it's hilarious when he does the character voice then switches back to his normal voice so casually
This guy could do an entire episode by himself!
Dan Castellaneta got the best voice on earth
DAN CASTELLANETA PLAYS OVERALL 36 PEOPLE IN SIMPSONS AND THATS INSANELY GOOD!!!!!
how can one man have so much talent?

Groundskeeper Willie is my all-time favorite Simpsons character, it's interesting to learn about how Dan Castellaneta developed his voice.
Burns: Are you saying boo or boo urns?
Audience: Boooo....
Moleman: I was saying boo urns...
hahaha..lmao!! I love Moleman!!!
The guys in the top ten people I'd save in a nuclear attack.
No show can stay as fresh and funny after decades on the air, but they have earned their place in television history for sure.
I always loved Grandpa Simpson especially when he would scream for, "MATLOCK!"
This man is such a legend.
And you are SEXY.
unzunzvroom and THAT isn't her. Its a kpop idol if I recall
Hanz Moleman is only 35 years oooolldd - Alcohol ruined his life.
Barney = Ray Romano
This guy's voice is so versatile.
this guy is incredible
He is one of the best voice actors in the world
this guy is crazy! How does he do all those voices?!
He seems to be a really nice guy, oh and funny too XD.
I knew he did many voices but I had no idea all these different voices came from the same single individual. They each seem so distinct.
So damn talented. "The Simpsons" going on 28 years owes these guys tremendous respect!
Absolutely brilliant work from this super talented actor. Can't even begin to imagine the Simpsons without him.
I could really watch videos of the cast doing the voices all day long
Robin Williams did the voice in the first and third movies, but Dan actually voiced Genie in the second movie and the tv series, so he is technically correct.
Hans Moleman: "I was saying Booo-urns."
He's also the Robot Devil from "Futurama", another Matt Groening series.
"nobody's gay for moleman"
Watching him do Moleman rocks !!!!
It amazes me that actors like this can so consistently and effortlessly do various character voices. What's even more amazing is that you can have his different characters in the same scene and you would never know that they're all voiced by the same guy.
He does the voice of Grandpa Phil from Hey Arnold!
Man is legendary.
can't erase the smile on my face while watching this guy. he's very interesting and entertaining
Dan Castellaneta is the beast!!! i love him as homer i hope he lives on well on to 100!!!!!!
@jazzalex22 was he the genie in the second aladdin movie?
He forgot to talk about Krusty!
Isn't Moleman 31?
If I could replicate Homer's voice, I would talk to myself all the time
The ULTIMATE voice-actor
Fascinating and insightful! A really talented and charming guy.

3:18 he sounds like Tim the bear from "The Cleveland show"
When you think of becoming a voice actor then you watch people like this guy and say 'I can never be that good'
The simpsons will never die.
Holy fuck it's scary seeing the guy who does so many great voices.
The only man who can live up to Mel Blanc's legacy.
I love Gil, such a funny character.
I hope this guy is a multi-billionaire by now.
He was awesome in an episode of Stargate SG-1. ;D
now here is a legend
Hans Moleman's always been my favorite!
The second voice of Genie~ >w
I'd thought he'd do the interview in Homer's voice
HAH! His Barney sounds like Raymond of Everybody Loves Raymond!
When he does Barney he sounds like Ray Romano
Oh my! Dan Castellaneta is so talented to voice so many characters in The Simpsons. :D
Haha Barney sounds like Ray Romano
I know Dan voices Sideshow Mel, I wonder why he didn't bring Mel up.
When he does the character's voice it sound so smooth and clear, as you would hear it on tv. =D
Dan C. is a genius. A true artist and the funniest guy ever.
Love that man. I mean Homer S. lol
Iran loves u Dan.
So awesome to see the concoction of different voices for Barney's voice
I LOVE watching voice actors performing their most famous works, it's so funny to see!
I bet the reporter has the time of her life ! I wish I would have a dad like you Dan Castellaneta, so I could have a dad with Homer voice !
Love him
The man is a master.
Wonderful you for sharing so we all could see!
Funny because given all the amazing voices he does it was Gil that killed me the most.
Love Dan. Been a big fan of his since Tracey Ullman.
The new seasons blow. The first ten were pure GOLD. That what im talkin about when i say Simpsons is my favourite show
Many more than that! What about Krusty the Clown? Dan once said that Krusty was one of the characters he liked to do.
Legend is right. What a treat to hear him bring out these voices instantly together with the characterizations. Great!
Its strange to see his face but when he does the voices you instantly see the characters faces in your mind haha

3:05 My Heart just stopped!
Ah, there it goes.
I remember that Dave Thomas character fondly on SCTV - Angus Crock.
Forget about The Simpsons. This man was Earthworm-goddamn-Jim!
Damn I love Groundskeeper Willy, Seriously there should be sooo much more of the character on this show :D
I can hardly think of anybody that is more talented and underrated than this man.
Things Ted Kennedy would never say, that Mayor Quimby said:
"You moron, you spent your entire year's budget in a month."
How do we know if he's talking in his real voice or if he's just doing an impression of himself?
I can't help but laugh when I hear so many voices from such different characters all coming from just this one man.
what a talented man. Thank you Dan for so many laughs throughout the years,
What about Krusty???
This guy is simply EPIC.. one of my favorite American artist... His voice of Homer saying " i seem to have lost my pants" is my all time favorite quote. This is the ultimate Homer, trying to be serious and smart in a totally funny and ridiculous way...
He also does the voice for the Robot Devil on Futurama as well.
Does anyone know where I can find this scottish cooking show? That sounds hilariously awesome!
I haven't found the clip on CZcams, but I remember the sketch. SCTV was great--it was one of my favorites when it was on.

I remember that dave thomas character it was a spoof of sunrise semester "awa wi youu!"
this show will forever be in my history of my number 1 tv show
3:06 he speaks like homer in this one
Castellaneta did voice the Genie on the Aladdin animated series, so you're both right!
dan castelleneta would multi-task between both the tracy ullman show and the simpsons in the beginning.
He looks like the Barber/writer in one of Stargate SG-1 episode that traded communication stones with O'neil.
Without this guy, the Simpsons wouldn't exist.
This is totally completely AWESOME to see him doing these voices. WOW !! What a treat !!! Thanks for posting this. You rock .)
