What up, Kel? Thanks for the deck teck. I can tell you're really loving this. Personal note, Goliath Gauntlet is in my assassin deck for two reasons: One it makes your Surgical Extractions extra potent and two it could send a Command and Conquer in for game winning damage that can't be stopped by defense reacts. Either way, you're either stripping a card from their hand or arsenal, so making sure those attacks land can be pivotal in a close match. C&C is one of my only pairs of sixes I walk into a blitz fight with these days, and the GG makes one of them devastating.

I appreciate the perspective! 😁 The way I see it is that Goliath Gauntlet doesn't help you cross any key breakpoints any more than Cracker Jax and doesn't work for the rest of the deck (Surgical going to 5 or CnC going to 7 with Jax is close to 6 or 8 respecively in terms of average block breakpoints - 4, 7 and 10 are the big target numbers) but Jax does help our 3 attacks hit that 4 breakpoint. Just my thoughts on it
@@RedZoneRogue Considering you're going midrange that's leaning into aggro, Jax makes sense here. Fair thoughts all around, love to check in on yours as always. I can't wait to see what Assassin shapes up to be like in the future. Between 'Sin and the Aim package, I got a lot of deck testing to do before proquest. Best of luck to the Rogues out there.

This deck is sweet. I may have to wait a bit on building it until some of the card prices come down. I just bought some of the metal coppers, silvers, and golds from Metal Fab tokens… mostly for Kassai. I will be build assassin at some point though. Great deck tech.
yeah I'm not sure I can recommend buying stuff like Surgical Extraction right now haha

Have a cheap version of this I am learning the game with that I was given as a starter deck. Once i learn the game I may make this build if it is still competitive
I have pretty much the same deck except I don't have Captains Call, Enlightened Strike or Cash in. But I do run 2 Codex of Frailtys
This deck is quite fun to pilot
I wish there were arm/chest options for assassin. Hopefully if we get a Metrix set next year 🤞

Ive tried Even Bigger Than That and Pick A Card, Any Card and both have been pretty good in a CC deck

What do you think about replacing Cash In with Pay Day? It's a Blue, 0 cost Def 3 and if u completed a contract this turn create 4 silver tokens? It doesn't have go again tho, but I'd assume you'd play it last anyway.
I read somewhere today that contracts on previous chain links on the active combat chain are still active? Sounds great if so...
Yeah! You can keep fulfilling them as long as they're on the combat chain!

As far as arm equipment goes, I've been having a lot of success running bracers of belief. I'm heavy enough on reds and yellows that I usually get the full +2, occasionally the +1, and on rare occasions hit a blue and gain nothing. Can be risky, but throwing an eradicate for 6 before reactions is kinda fun.
I can definitely see that for a more redline build! I personally like running a lot of blues so you can Spider's Bite + 1 drop (in fact I want more blues in my list haha) but a redline build would be fun!
after seeing this video it brought a tiny rules question up. was wondering if my contract banishes a blood debt card from hitting does it trigger on subsequent turns? i was hoping a fab judge would see this and be able to answer for me.
The Blood Debt would trigger, yes. Blood Debt just needs to be in your banished Zone.
I want to make a full money Arakni deck. Run as many bronze/silver/gold generators and pay offs as I can with it still being feasible. I was thinking about maybe using some blue items/potions to pitch with and then use Knick-Knack Bric-a-Brac to make a big turn or something. It probably wouldn't work, but it could be fun to try
Someone else in the comments said something similar and called it Knick Kniack Bric-A-Brakni and I LOVE IT
As short hand for contract I have been saying "I am hunting for ____"
Much more flavorful than "It cares about ____" which is what I've been saying. I may adopt your wording!

Yeah the Tunic can be rough. I'd just proxy one until you can buy or trade for a copy. Luckily once you get one you can use it for every deck!
I'd love to see a CC deck. The popular ones on Discord are full on fatigue, which for me is not fun and I hope there's another hopefully better build.
I'm not really a fan of fatigue either so my version definitely wouldn't be that! 🍻
Probably not gonna see a really aggressive deck for him. Just not the archetype. I think a more control oriented playstyle with mixed in disruption is better suited. It also takes a lot more skill and knowledge to pull it off. Aggro decks are often times very linear.
@@maxmetalcorre I'd like to see some actual disruption for him, but as it stands he doesn't have all that much. Surgical Extraction is it for hand disruption. Banishing 1 MAYBE 2 cards per turn if you're lucky is not enough. I could even play Romping Club Levia if I just wanted to block and do 4 damage each turn.
