  • Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - 1998 World Figure Skating Championships, Pairs' Free Skate - Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze of Russia easily won the Free Skate here to win the Gold Medal. You can see that they omitted the final star lift, which they fell on at the Nagano Olympic Gams, in order to to not risk a similar fate.

    The speed they carry across the ice is insane. The only other pair I've seen skate at that rate of speed is Shen/Zhao.

      +Troy Turner Yes indeed. A couple of crossovers and they were flying warp speed across the ice. Marvelous technique.
