I know skaters that took lessons from home when he was in the metro Detroit area. When he was present, he was really good though. I think Annette was the stronger actual coach in that situation. It is just a shame that he never was in control.

Ох уж эти вечные истерики про гордость за страну. Да, любимый дуэт и да, болели за них всегда. Но вот чем отличались действительно болельщики фигурного катания СССР от нынешних российских: мы любили лучших вне зависимости от страны. И с огромным уважением относились к Катарине Витт, Джейн Торвилл и Кристоферу Дину или Брайану Байтане. Когда в каком-то из видов лучшими были представители других стран, мы это признавали и не орали оголтело "наших засудили, потому что... " И к нашим чемпионам относились с таким же уважением не смотря на разницу в идеологиях. Вот чем советские болельщики отличались от нынешних.

Самые лучшие и непревзойденные это Людмила Пахомова и Александр Горшков и сколжение и танцевальные фигуры! Грищук бледная тень в этой паре доминирует Евгений . Он хорошо ,даже лучше, смотрелся в паре с Усовой ,а вот Грищук не смогла больше ни с кем кататься.

There are so many beautiful elements to this routine. My most favorite is at 2:54 mark. So intimate, sensual and graceful at the same time. There will never be a pair like G&G. I consider myself blessed to have grown up with their skating.

None of that around the rink and jump. Verne packed this program. And, he opened with a delayed jump. I wish today's skaters would bring them back.

Entertaining short program. I still think much more should have been said about the level of attractiveness between The Two Brians. Athletic attractiveness is crucial in every sport. 😂

Wait I did not know she stated ice skating at 9 and went to worlds at 13. That is impressiveee. Wow
