- What an exciting time to be a flight simmer! This unexpected announcement surprised everyone. In this video, I give you my thoughts on the trailer, my wishlist for what I believe to be crucial features and some answers to already widespread skepticism.
A few corrections are in order:
- There is no PC12, I don't know how I hallucinated one
- It's a DA62, of course
- It's a Super Cub
- There is also a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan

I'm expecting Orbit Airlines comeback
Yeah I don't even want the real airlines :)
Lol
You could hear the ATC at lax say "World Travel" so I mean 🤠
In the future it wont be about the power of your computer but the speed of your internet. The time will come when all we need is a screen (or VR headset) and our games will be rendered entirely server side on powerful work stations. The question will be whether we pay a one off price for a game or if everything becomes subscription!
Thanks for taking the time. I'm not a great fan of subscription. I am however a great fan of the flightsim community developers being allowed to get involved with this new project. Now we will wait and see what news, MSF comes out with in the very near future?!.
nice vid.. I subbed..
Bye bye XP-11 welcome Mircosoft Flight Simulator 2020! This is the most amazing flight simulator video I have ever seen, toghether with DCS this will be the ONLY flight sim I will play the coming years, I am BLOWN away. Well done Microsoft! If this game has multiplayer and ATC support this will be THE flight simulator OF MY LIFE!!
This based on a 1:30 video ????? WOW!!!!!
bye bye x-plane ... bye bye Mircosoft Flight Simulator 2020 .. then bye bye X-plane then bye bye P3D .... so funny
I am not sold on this one as of yet. There are too many unknowns for me to get too excited. What kind of a pricing model will this be? A base price plus a subscription? No one knows as of yet. What about computer specs? Right now, I am looking at this with a critical eye.
$10 a month and you get this with gamepass. Also with Azure cloud, you're not gonna need a mega pc to run this, that's why MS is putting this game on console too because the cloud compute really takes a load off the local hardware.
I wonder if Xbox one x will be able to run the game at 4k 60 hopefully
What i expect....
Microsoft Flight Simulator: Downloadable free from Xbox Games Store.
Cessna 172 model: $14,99
B747 Model: $49,99
MS Clouds and WX: $999,99
Jeppesen maps and airways database: $499,99/mo
New pc capable of showing graphics similar to the trailer: $9.999,99
Wife divorce because you spent all your savings on a game: Half your assets.
Paul Niotis this footage was probably taken on a prototype for there next console project Scarlett aka a high end PC
If the graphics are as good as this, many scenery people will have to step up a bar almost too high to surpass . I wonder if they have rebuilt a new platform in secret for many years leading to this news release ? If so, this might work well on mid level systems with high frame rates . Like FSX , it is good to have a all in one simulator for those who just want to have fun all the way up to study level. This weather looked incredible even down to the pink to red cloud immersion during dawn and dusk periods. I hope Microsoft communicates with third party groups and that they are ready at the time of release.
my wishes is a helicopter simulation like xp11 or better second wish i want no more spinning cloud when flying over and looking Down and at last i want sloped RW like xp11 has
We'll see if this is a sim...or just an arcade filler...
Must be easily moddable or its a no go, just a pretty picture...also it looks a bit similar to google maps 3d objects placement method maybe ?
You cant speculate its Google maps lmao
@@aarnage2189 I mean that maybe a similar technique is used for their placement ? In some places even trees look like a single mass like in 1:23
Some said that Bing Maps
@Maher Justice I certainly hope so...for all of our sakes :) if not, it won't live long.
a2a warbirds in this universe, and i'll be ok
P3D´s dead incoming finally *O*
This is going to be an arcade version, you will be disappointed when it sim starts up and it says " Microsft Flight Simulator 2020-- Press X to start! "
I'm hoping for the best but prepared for the worst .. MStudios tried this crap before, after FSX ,remember the free FSim Microsoft released, and was a total ball of crap that now is cancelled.
Funny to see , people getting hyped over a TRAILER , something that isn't out yet , and something for a console ! LMAO
Get ready for a big disappointment !
lmfao you are making such a big understatement
Due to the way Microsoft dropped FSX I won/t be supporting! I will continue to support Lockheed Martin P3D!!! Hope you have the cash to buy a Cray Mainframe to run it. I think it’s another Microsoft Flight and will die in six months.
The concept of companies going to the business model of monthly subscription will kill the availability to many people. I personally will not be able to financially afford such a program. Then there’s the accuracy’s of the program. While some find the graphics look great will they do popular planes such as the 737-800 NGX as well as PMDG has? Based on Microsoft’s business models in the past they will, and have already given notification, shut down Windows 7 , which to date is the best platform for games, push us into a inferior platform ( to increase their sales ) to kill the competition and then push us into inferior product. Graphics is not everything. Providing a accurate model on looks, function and flight performance along with a smooth seamless interaction. With the regards to the later, relying on internet for smoothness will always be a problem. I’m on cable, and that’s probably the best you can get. Well it’s still not the best, such as a program installed on your computer. I doubt very much that Microsoft will handle it well.
The trailer is misleading with false visuals. Why is everyone trusting it?
Ms garbage simulator. All eye candy with suck planes. Look at the A320neo even the model sucks.
No more Microsoft!
ditto
Great thought process, very informative.
The big difference will be a 64 bit based program which will use multi core processors, the old one was based on a 32 bit program, so limited to less than 4 GB of RAM, and was single core optimised. That will make all the difference.
