It looks absolutely stunning. A new era for flight sims. The real test of this will be its performance without needing to change how things look in these previews (lowering settings) as I'm sure many people won't want to spend thousands on a new computer. The alpha testing will be very interesting and will give microsoft a real insight into how it runs on a variety of systems. I really believe this will be designed in a completely new and different way to any previous flight sim and I hope microsoft does it justice!
since the first Flightsim from Bruce Artwicks (subLogic) a real flight simulator fan is more busy adjusting the graphics than flying, i doubt this will change much with MS FS 2020 ;D

Really stunning graphics and concerning this, there is not much to wish for more....; also the aircraft and flight dynamics will be outstanding without doubt.
Besides this, I'am very anxious to know aspects like the weather dynamics, ATC, life at airports etc.

It looks amazing. My biggest pet peeve with p3d/fsx is taking off or landing and the city/environment scenery does not look right. I took off in a cessna from a small strip and tried following the highways and scenery to kdfw (my closest airport), nothing looks the same. I cant even find my house lol.
I am hoping this sim will be alot better on that and decent on frames as well
I don't care for looks...fm, systems, weather, smoothness and addons, thats what really counts.
This sim literally out classes most addons out there, like what more can ORBX add to this? MFS is doing most of it all in one. I doubt anyone's going to need any environmental/scenic addons for this. Weather was already shown, and if you're apart of the insider program, it already beats Xplane and P3d with weather display. And it's weather depiction isn't better than Active Sky, but defeats Xplane and P3D. If this game doesnt get a lot of addons, it'll most likely be because it doesn't need any. Smoothness is probably entirely up to your PC hardware. This is a 2020 game, so optimization is going to be evident by the game developers, but this is a tough game. If you're PC can't handle it, that's on you, not the developers.
And I would actually argue that looks really do matter, if not, they matter the most. It's what all the simulators lacked before, that's why there's thousands of scenery and visual modification addons for XPlane and P3d. Looks do matter, and it's what pleases simmers the most. Visual appearances play a massive role in boosting realism, improving simulation experience, and make a good impression for people just getting into flight simulation.
@@ibis8566 I lose interest very fast in a "sim" if those things are not present but it just looks nice. To me looks are a welcome addition...but are secondary to all those aspects mentioned. If the sim lacks depth, to me its just another arcady cash grab with no soul. Thats why i hope they will take those things into account. Also "addons" doesn't mean orbx only. It means aircraft, weather, effects etc. I for one will be pleased not having to buy from them to have a decent looking sim. I have both p3d and xplane, waiting for a sim that will combine good sides of both of these...maybe this will be it, we'll see.
Million dollars of content packed into a game and some spoilt brats will probably complain.
Its a dream come true so far, trying to remain cautiously optimistic.

I am skeptical as to the October release date.
What is release in October is the full fledged overview of the world. Not the simulator itself.
No mean to sound pessimistic but its very highly unlikely we won't get 3D coverage every part of the globe unless Microsoft has access to 3D imagery that google earth doesn't have
Unattainable 3d mapping will be replaced with autogen. if you go to 0:55 and 1:23 in the original e3 trailer you can see the autogen in effect
