My dad could not sing. He was also a preacher's son & he sang so badly, that my grandfather once interrupted a hymn to tell my dad to quit singing! This is how my dad would wake me up. He would come into my bedroom, turn on the lights, & start singing "Good morning to you, good morning to you, we're all in our places, with sunshiney faces..."! Ugh!!! Almost worse than when they would pour water on me!
I loved when my grandma sang me that song to wake me up. 😅
I got a wet cloth or the covers ripped off. I guess I was spared.
My mom would come to my bedroom door, loudly say good morning & turn on my light. If that didn’t get me up by the time she came back by my room, she’d come in & rip my covers off. I HATED starting my day off that way.
I always wanted to an electric proud when my husband wouldn’t come come at nite. We divorced, after years we became friends & he died at an early age as an alcoholic. I remember the few good times we had. I miss him sorely. But yes, I would’ve tasted him in a heartbeat!!

My three young teenage boys begged me to taze them when I first got my tazzer, I refused of course, but this is how boys are spos to act, not calling cops on mom cause their too soft now

I minister to those out there who have had horrible parenting claiming to be Christians and yet too many kids have not had a good experience with God because of their parents. This is really sad to me. People being told to shut up and not question their faith, being forced to memorize the bible instead of finding out the way best that the child learns to make the scripture come alive to them. The word of God is living and active. Its not all the Christian hype and carnal sensationalism either...its a hard but worthwhile adventure. We need to live out as parents that walking with Jesus is worth it. That Jesus is not boring. I, myself had a narcissistic abusive dad who forbade my mother and myself at age 13 to go to a solid teaching church anymore just because I wanted to be baptized there. He also wrote an ugly and nasty accusatory letter to all the leadership of the church, many of whom were dads of my friends and so he created an awkwardness he refused to see in them coming over to our house. He forced my mom and me to go to the church he picked and then he ditched both ones he "led" us to within a year. I lost all my friends and almost killed myself. I was so isolated. I remember the horrid feeling of I didn't even get to pick what church I wanted to call my church home, ...church is a place where people should be ministered to, and sense that. I think the mom needs to have a talk with her son and challenge herself outside her comfort zone instead of simply forcing her kid to go to the church she picks. Especially at 16, you need to be making or nudging them to find their own way and make their own decisions because as a young man he is going to lead someday in the next decade his own family into either a church or a life of atheism or "all accepting" paganism.
Exactly! And the amount of comments of “Christians” on here thinking it’s funny or no big deal and supporting abuse is one of many reasons I have nothing to do with “Christians” in church anymore. Well that and they worship Trump. 🤮
Didn't go to church as a child, but I did have a hard time waking up in time to get to school by 8am. She would use a cold, dripping wet wash cloth on my face to wake me up. Isn't that abuse? Wouldn't that make a child hate school?

If mom had an outfit, she was not going to let her son make her late. That outfit had to be seen.
The police reported that two marks were found on the boy's leg, though I'm not sure if they've confirmed for sure either that they were caused by a Taser or that they were inflicted that day. They'll do stuff like this sometimes…say they found hair on a car bumper but then it turns out it's animal hair. 😭
So I suspect it is indeed from the Taser but am not feeling sure yet. Sounds like it packed a punch and that she does use it on him, though, if they're what they appear to be.
My grandma would wake me up by rubbing ice on my eyes. She always had ice wrapped in a paper towel that she’d dab under her eyes to help her wake up in the morning and I guess it was good for her skin. Personally, I didn’t like ice cold water dripped in my sleeping eyes. She was the best though, never once put a hand on me in anger.
She missed a great opportunity to give him a haircut with the trimmers when he won't get up.

If you raise your kids in church they'll go. But if it's a Holiday christian. Or a parent (who just) starting going, after years of living against God, why would they agree to go as a teen? At this point all you can do is pray 🙏. Also does this kid have a dad?

You laugh but there is no way she should use that taser anyhow on her son. She sounds like my ex spouse that claimed they came over to the house (even though legally they weren't supposed to) to "shake me up". They said this in front of the judge as if the judge would see it as they were entirely reasonable. The judge just went "wait a minute...you went over there to shake [me] up?" Uh, it went downhill for the narcissist from then on. MAYBE she isn't. Maybe. However, its not the smartest thing to say you did that to "scare" your son.
