Welcome to Paradox games where morality is optional and war crimes are the norm.
By chance when you say norm do you mean the todo list
@@AnIdiotOnTheInternet3The Geneva conventions? More like the Geneva suggestions

Perfect thread. No notes.
Heya Stakuyi, just for future reference, you can form any nation as long as you control it with atleast a dominion relation. So instead of waiting until you directly annex the netherlands, if you form it just by lowering autonomy down to dominion its done much faster and you have less radicals via conquest. Hope this helps in future vic 3 games! 😃
This.
Ah yes Wallonia Metal Concubine, Truly a Company that went down in history as the best one in Belgium
At this rate you'll enter WW1 with tanks and strategic bombers.
...and the *GOOD* kinds.
Chad Lion 1 vs soy A7V
@@ASTROPLANET13 everyone else is messing around with triplanes while Belgium has a whole ass B-17.
Going to march in with galactic storm troopers and star destroyers
don't to forget they got some "waffle" ICBM's
Na bro will get an F-15 during the austro-prussian war at this rate ngl
You know, you can just go the route of "Benevolent" Leopold, where he really did set up a humanitarian program in the Congo, and didn't chop hands off n all that.
It is after all, as you say, your economic playground.
Real history is so filled with cruel men and horrible abuses so I always try to create a better world whenever I play paradox games - and what I prefer watching
@@anofsti I'm sure the virtual people appreciate your bland play style
@@SubtotalStar850-uh8pg"Not doing war crimes is so bland" uhhh yeah sure buddy
@@WhenDoesTheVideoActuallyStartyou can't even do war crimes. I'm pretty sure he means not fighting wars because realistically that's the only thing the other dude could've meant and wars are like 90% of pdox games
@@WhenDoesTheVideoActuallyStartalso, it's a fucking video game grow up
You keep on avoiding debt like Japanese education and war-crimes, but debt can effectively be ignored if you start to build up fast enough.
Basically you can efficiently deficit-spend.
Yep he should look at how generalist gamer plays he's like at 97% debt as a great power and 50% as a major
Ah yes, the American method
@@SubtotalStar850-uh8pg 175 countries deficit spend. There’s a lot of fiscal crises caused by deficit spending due to stuff like the Oil Crisis in 1973.
@@benzelmer8111 I'm an American I was just making a joke, yeah and that crisis is exactly why deficient spending is a bad thing lol
@@SubtotalStar850-uh8pg Deficit spending is useful to massively increase growth but it can turn awful like in developing countries.
Maybe you already knew this but instead of clicking on the minuscule + button in technologies to add to them the queue, you can hold shift and click on the middle of the technology you want to add
The rubber company having increased mortality rate is wild, great video though, really enjoyed
I mean, Belgium is a country in a PDX game if you want to play tall. Compared to its perceived size Belgium is very good at mobilizing *"all hands"* on deck💀
Thats dark ☠️
And feet

Stak: tells about these guys developing a game and trying to hype it up.
My attention: AI portraits doing "Balenciaga".
Well, that's a hard pass. People using generative algorithms built on theft rather than hiring artists is a no for me.
@@Grounders10listen I'm not saying it's good or bad, but the theft argument is completely bullshit, and just not true. Now don't get me wrong there are still plenty of wrongs in it, but theft ain't one of em.
@@DevixianTheOriginal “But the theft argument is completely bullshit, and just not true.”
Fun Fact: What you just said is completely bullshit and just not true
Programs like Nightshade and Glaze - their existence suggest that there is theft. Which is _well-known._
@@DevixianTheOriginalGen-AI does do theft… 😐 u on smth?
@@MrRhombus except no it doesn't, I mean all art would be considered theft as there's no new ideas, if AI is stealing then so is having a similar art style, I mean did deep impact steal from Armageddon or is it supposedly different now that its a human using a machine to do it
Sponsor sounds strangely familiar to the game he's playing.
Except it's earlier in time
Paradox needs competition
3 minutes and 50 seconds in and he already does something Belgium would NEVER do.
Came here for this, as a Dutchman I started laughing immediately 😂
@@t3chn0kiwi1same, I snorted the moment I heard him say road maintenance... As belguim... Guess we doin alt history right out of the gate
I think the Netherlands won really because after losing to Belgium- they force them to rename their nation after the country they conquered so…
Bought the game this week after long hisitation and this video is by far the best starter guide I have seen so far. Sometimes it is a bit tricky to follow because of the longer jumps in time, but overall very nice.
YOOOOO IVE SEEN YOUR HISTORY SHORTS I NEVER KNEW YOU PLAYED PARADOX GAMES GOOD SH BRO
The construction drain can be avoided by toggling the construction method to a cheaper one.
I think you overlooked that companies give a base bonus to throughput and construction efficiency (which is very useful) based on your prestige, not just their bonuses for having max productivity. That's what makes the rubber company appealing--more rubber throughput AND some extras.
Also looks like you were still using skirmish infantry where armies hadn't been upgraded.
You were getting a ton of immigration from (probably) Britain and its colonies later, though. Multiculturalism would've been even more ridiculous to pull from the Raj etc. (since in Britain's market), but the population was climbing a lot even before taking over the Netherlands.
Video 2 of book suggestions haha. You would really love "The Crusader" by Michael Alexander Eisner, and you and your wife would enjoy the "Ring of fire" series by Eric Flint. Both are right up your alleys.
Old World Blues Enclave full playthrough please.
WE MUST *REFORM* THE UNITED STATES BEFORE CAESAR RUINS WHAT ABRAHAM FOUGHT FOR!!!!!
Oh but instead of a submod that adds them you should do it though the ncr tree where the you can take over the government as the enclave in a very difficult Civil War and then you don’t have much time to prepare before Caesar comes for you so a good challenge
@@BigBudVYes
That mod is so good it's insane. This would be very fun to watch.
He needs to for America and the enclave
debt is only scary if you arent a recognized major /great power
try not to go over half way, but especially if the cash reserves of your buildings grow faster than you accumulate debt, you are completely fine and its just free money (taken from the future, but that future can be after 1936)
Keep genius Belgium going! Please
15:40 I think what happened is that the Landowners got a leader with the Reformer ideology, which agrees with the Intelligentsia on certain issues (Propertied Women for Women’s Rights and Cultural Exclusion for Citizenship). But yeah, political party alignment can be weird in Vic3. There was one time in a Japan play through where I had an Agrarian Party without the Rural Folk, even though the Rural Folk is the interest group that would naturally be a part of the Agrarian Party.
26:10 also, interest groups supporting laws have to be in the government to help with enactment chance. The Industrialists wanted restrictions on child labor in that circumstance, though you kicked them out of the government. Also, if an interest group in the government does not like a certain piece of legislation, they will use their clout to stall it.
Would love to see a continuation
Please can you reform the british empire in milenium dawn (if ur able to - in not just a Uk play through would b cool) also love the HOI4 content
Nice video!
I was wondering if you could do a Victoria 3 playtrough on Sweden and restore the Swedish colonies but also the terror of the Swedish Empire!
I love seeing Stak back in this game.
this series should definitely keep going.
Age of History at the corner:
Damn, my time will come.
Dear lord, I dunno if you meant to throw shade on vic3 or not, but opening your vid with an advert for a different game that sounds eerily similar to what you're about to play is just hilarious.
Wish I was here for the initial upload so I can say it’s good to go negative on money sometimes. It works like in the real world now where it’s “credit” and building an economy sometimes requires going in the red
This game has insane potential. Give it 2-3 years and watch.
As a Belgian, I want to express my absolute delight. Hopefully you continue this campaign
Can't wait to see a Vic3 Mlp mod
3:52 Road Maintenance ?? Yup ! It's already utopia for Belgium ! :D
I love this!
We're almost there!!
Do you have videos showing how to industrialise mid game ? I somehow manage to bankrupt every campaign I play during mid game haha :D
Bro im late again but cool gameplay love from Mexico!!!!
Also you're forklift certified!!!!
I'm a simple man I see a Belgium video I click and like it
same
Good to see that stak has realized that technocracy is the objectively best ideology for intelligentsia + industrialists in power runs
Please play Serbia in Kaiserreich/redux! It is pretty fun.
The civil rights part was hilarious
Beginning of the game and he activated road maintenance for Belgium.
That's too implausible even for an althist scenario
Companies also boost the production facilities that affect their prosperity, don't sleep on those juicy bonuses as they're arguably the most important part of companies.
5k Likes. Can't wait for part two
Vic3 is one of those games that I always enjoy watching but hate playing
5k likes achieved i am hoping for a second part!
That's an interesting add to run on Vic3 video...
The USA formed the United scientific association on every 1.5 game I played so it at least was more common than it should of been
You should try the Republic of Texas in Victoria 3.
The Dutch will get the last laugh
We have terrible roads in Belgium 🇧🇪, thanks for fixing them.
Edit: bro took gonco☠️
Pls more i am so invested in Belgium being op via technology
2 weeks late I'm watching this

If this game wouldn't crash every 5 minutes id do this
Mine hasn’t t crashed once
Same man, that sweet 13th and 14th gen intel curse. I'll also say the explanation is bs btw, because Stellaris works fine on my computer. It sometimes crashes with many mods. Like maybe within 3 hours, but only once or twice a day if I'm playing all day.
just buy cpu x3d from amd or on memory ddr5 , that fixed crashed and improved speed game in late game
after 1880 it started to crash for me
@@SDM-ZoneMy $5k custom workstation crashes on 1.5.13. It would work if I roll it back to 1.5.5 or earlier. My Alienware laptop works fine though. I don't really understand the reason of the crash
When are you going to play the Divergence mod for Victoria 3?
proud Belgian here⬛🟨🟥
22:28 Yes.
Finaly! Belgium 🎉🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪
I always get rid of Mercantilism with the "Corn Laws" event, the only thing you have to do is increase the exportation taxes on grain and eventually a liberal economist will appear in the landowners, you have to give him leadership and ready, you can pass Free Trade.
You can push your spending much more than you tend to do. As long as your GDP (technically the borrowing limit) is growing more than or equal to your rate of expenditure, you can run a deficit without risking bankruptcy. With graduated taxation, progressively lower taxes to free up capitalist investment and let the economy freewheel while targeting production gaps.
Please try to bring back the Republic of Texas
I love this game
Being in the British market and having the now Belgian East Indies can both supply you with tons on labour, once you get multiculturalism tousands of Indonesian and Indian pops will start mass migrating to your country's mainland
The more important part of the companies are the bonuses to the industries it requires, not the bonuses you get from full productivity
HELL YEAHHHHHH
Isn't Belgium basically the southern Netherlands?
Yeah but France had to do cringe French things
pls do part 2
Any chance of another Old World Blues video?

Lets go vic 3 :)
can u play as sweden and form scandinavia and get finland as a puppet
Also I like doing Private/Public school with State Religion.
listen m8, investment pool will not invest in: Government admins., ports, uni's, (every building whose wages are government wages), barracks and naval bass's (every building whose wages are military wages). This is bcuz all the costs of inputs are paid by the government, so when constructing them all the cost comes from you, not the investment pool. In the cases where you build these things, or your current construction expenditure is lower than the gain in the investment pool, the IP starts to collect money that it will then spend. (all of this only applies when 'Interventionism' and 'Lassaiz Faire' are laws), in the case of IP, interventionism is actually better because it also lets you use the IP to pay for agriculture, plantations and ranches.
Over all interventionism is 9 times out of 10 the best law in that section, because it provides you with almost all of the buffs of lassaiz faire (as i just said), and more importantly it lets you subsidise industries, which is the largest set back in lessaiz faire. Also having gamerule 'autonomous IP' is really bad, and when you play with it communism is the best option (imo, but also of a lot of people)
edit: also if you want to make as much money as possible (in the long run), try to lower taxes to the lowest, and set mil. and gov. wages to max, its complicated as to why it gives you money, but it does
15:26 all of thee poitical groups in the liberal party have leaders with the same trait which causes them to join the same party and support the laws associated with their trait. when the leaders change it will break up. Its how you get really weird party combinations sometimes if you get a leader with a trait that dosent align with their interest group.
23:21 the private contruction bug again
Belgians in the Congo, eh? ;)
Belgium annexing my home country will hurt to watch...

Now make a one dominated by Slavery, like that did in real life ^_^
Nobody has done a Belgian Congo playthrough...
And we need some meme playthroughs like some i see in CK3 and specially HoI4.
I feel its what's preventing Victoria 3 to reach a bigger fanbase.

Probably because the game hasn't been released yet lol

Can you try Switzerland?
Get those austrians
Is it ok that my landowners are reformists?
Hi does someone know how to basically teach economy and goverment because i do something as is show at some videos but still after like 10 years i go into go into negative and cant get out even after i max out taxes and give some service and this style of taxes and if i even get to this time of game almost every party hates me and are giving me civil war because there are two different factions wanting different laws
The economy wont be the same in every game so its likely the person you are watching is building based on demand which would be different to the demand of your own and the world economy in your game as such you are not selling the same amount or for the same price as them
@@ddunfuh9239 yes after some time i learned it but i always go into negative and tax or no tax on product or low or high taxes i still am in negatives and bankroting and i dont know what i am doing wrong i even tried doing economy my way on my world and it partially worked but still and got to 1860s and around this time it did go to shit
