  • Shrinking uterine fibroids without surgery is possible by using your diet to return your hormones to a healthy status. Eating less red meat won't shrink fibroids, but normalizing your insulin levels will. Listen to this little-known science because it is important to your health.
You may have been told that your estrogen and/or progesterone are causing your uterine fibroids, and this is only partially true. Watch and re-watch this video so you clearly understand the root cause of your symptom-causing fibroids.
Research you may have heard about claiming that eating red meat causes fibroids is based on very weak epidemiological research that proves nothing. Don't be misled, foods that spike your insulin levels are the real culprits...

10 years ago I was diagnosed by two gynecologists that I had fibroids the size of a grapefruit. They both recommended a hysterectomy, but I defy them, but through prayers and diet God, healed me I don't have any symptoms up to now, as a matter of fact, the last examination (ultrasound )I had, my doctor, told me that there are no more signs of fibroids. I am healed, thank you, Jesus. ( no surgery ) Thank you for your video!

When I told my gynae that I changed my diet to plant-based and most of symptoms disappeared. She told me diet has nothing to do with it. But after we checked the ultrasound, two of the three fibroids had shrunk and almost gone. The one remaining was smaller. I was very disappointed that a qualified Dr can say diet had no effect.

Worked for me!💯 The first time I was diagnosed with a fibroid tumor that took up my entire uterus, I did end up having surgery to remove it (the fibroid) which was unpleasant to say the least. The second time I was diagnosed with a very large fibroid tumor (yes, they grow back!) I was bleeding constantly...meaning that my period didn't ever stop. I was losing around 3000 ml of blood monthly (normal range is 40-60 ml) but this time, I was older and wiser, and decided to do my own research before agreeing to another horrifying surgery. Long story short, I cut out all sugar and grains from my diet. After a couple months I noticed a huge difference in blood loss, and after several months it was all but back to normal. Not to mention LOTS of other health benefits, including significant weightloss. What Dr. Berry is teaching is legit. But it needs to be said: I had so many health issues that I thought I might die, and I asked The Lord Jesus to just come get me. Instead, He led me to the knowledge I needed for healing. Call on the name of the Lord.💯

I had a pretty large fibroid about 2 years ago. So I started eating low carbs and I didn't start eating until noon everyday and stop eating at 8:00 pm. I tried to mainly eat fruits and vegetables with fish or chicken. Since then every year the fibroid decreased in size. My doctor couldn't believe it, Every year I had an ultrasound and it got smaller. My doctor attributed it to my estrogen levels decreasing. Low carbs and fasting in intervals helped me.

Thanks for this! I know I have had Fibroids that I know of since my Early 30s my last Sonogram probably around 47 or 48 yrs old 57 now. I definitely had problems with them during cycles and pregnancies especially since I started trying to have kids in my early 30s I had 5 pregnancies 4 miscarriages unfortunately 😑 but 1 viable pregnancy 17 yrs ago not without complications sure wished I'd known about Clean Keto and Carnivore my thing was being vegetarian for a little bit I think it effected a lot of my reproductive health. Being RH negative blood type wasn't helpful either. But good to know now I am working on low carbs and trying to reduce more I have reduced my weight some already. I am not so sure about going Carnivore butI didn't stay vegetarian very long ended up passing out at work early on after starting it but J was into pretty good but the healthiest version of it since my budget was so low. I think you can eat a really healthy version of without the carbs and white stuff like flour, sugar, then I thought fat was preached against. ButvI did cut out a lot of carbs then lost a lot of lot of weight ended up pescatarian after fainting at work. But ended up back on sad diet but whenever I could eat healthy vegetarian dishes And would I love them. Anyway I have to get past my aversion of most meats smell texture and touch uggh. I am getting better at eating more protein and fat. Fat is another aversion I am trying to get past as well but doing better at that as well. Unfortunately I did get gain a lot of extra weight later on down the road. But I am working on it. In fact I am detoxing and water fasting right now for a thermography rescan soon haven't had 1 since about 2 yrs ago diagnosed with a lot of overall inflammation and other issues including estrogen dominance and other unaligned spine and hips, etc. So looking forward to getting fat adapted and being in Ketosis and autophgy. Excited and anxious at the same time being on a strict water fast till I have my thermography and try to improve my issues and weight for my next scan. 2 yrs ago my Natropathic Doctor tried to get me to do this detox and clean keto type diet it threw me off big time it was hard to give up those things again this time itbwas easy back when I went vegetarian but because of my budget and family not being onbthe same page as me it was tough sticking to it. I have a stepson with a umbilical hernia he has to lose some more weight he did it about a yr ago and pulled of a lot doingba lot of salads but he putting some more weight again eating out and eating thise carbs things again but not as big as he was his doctor just told him he has to quit eating that way. And he asked me tonight if I was going to eat any grilled chicken apple and cranberry salad with avocado from Whataburger and I said I am still detoxing no food he said how are you still standing lol. When you are detrimind its easy. He said he ain't going that direction but he could if he wanted to really lose that weight. He said his doctor was going to pull a bunch of fat out from around his hernia and stomach so they can repair it. I didn't know what a hernia actually was because I never looked it up before today. I didn't know it was a part of your intestines intestines pushing out of a weak spot. Its a good size hernia I just hope he doesn't have any problems with the mesh they will use to hold it and support it back in where it belongs. I heard those mesh things aren't very good on your organs. I heard Dr. Berry say something about his hyatial hernia that he was not going to go the surgery route. Like to hear him talk more about that and his Carnivore elimination diet protocol I call it because pretty much what it is with some Auto immune diseases they use it as a well Paleo version of it. Like to convince him not to do that surgery do this diet have him see how I eat after I start eating again. Butbhe will be going back to his wife and omg the way she cooks reason he got so big. They were talking divorce but looking like they are going to try again. I have already lost about 19 pounds or so far. Since July don't know how much I before that possibly 6ish pounds not sure didn't know I was losing still can't tell in my clothes yet maybe a lot of retained fluids still coming off of me. Pcp told me what was I doing to lose weight July I weighed 269 when he saw me again in September I had lost 16 pds I was surprised myself when the nurse weighed me especially I was like is that scale right omg she was like is that good. I was like yeah it is. I didn't start the detox/fast until October 14th but did all my measurements and numbers on the 13th. Trying to figure out how often to do my measurements and weight and other numbers like glucose and ketones and ph etc. So sorry it got so long. Can't explain it in just a few words. . I am also trying to figure out weather to blog or blog it not very good at techy stuff at my age but I know a tiny bit. Well I think that's enough for now. Loving following these CZcams and their successes and stories testimonials etc. BTW my periods start till I was in my later teens like 16 17 I remember getting really sick when I start not really knowing when my Fibroids showed up didn't know about them till I was older and trying to have kids. But being overweight and the way we ate and having African genetics very little but its there in my dna on my paternal side somewhere. I didn't know my paternal family till I wasvway grown up and mom reconnected with my grandmother after nearly 28 years or so. Long story my dad killed in Vietnam and:theway they treated my mom and dad being together made her not tell them but I really think they knew but never looked for us. Mom finally told me before I met my husband but I never told anyone till after I took my dna test about 1 yr ago. Well getting too long better go now. The saga continues!

Put me on birth control and by the end of the year I had an additional 4cm fibroid that was not there in the beginning of the year. Sought out the help of a holistic nutritionist , changed my diet for good no animal products or dairy cut down my sugar and carb intake and started taking natural supplements to balance my estrogen and androgens, uped my water intake, and exercise daily within a month the bleeding stopped I’ve been having regular cycles. Out of all the GYNs I’ve been to no one cared about what I was going through on a daily basis how much weight I was gaining and how the bleeding was effecting my everyday life. I had to take matters into my own hands. Ladies don’t rely on doctors they see you as a dollar sign try a more natural approach first before just going by their recommendations.

I’m going to do both raw and cooked vegan/fruits & veggies.
I will be drinking tomatoes/onions/lemon/honey/ginger/cayenne blends for breakfast. (Heard it help shrink lumps) that will be my only juice for now. At one that I will drink more.
And I will be eating variety of fruits/veggies/certain nuts/grain. High alkalinity food.
I will come back to you guys every month to give you update. Right now I’m 305lbs at 6foot tall. (Got 4-5fibs..).

I have been experiencing frequent constipation, and frequent urination to the point where I can't hold it as well... Thennnn, when my cycle comes, LORD have mercy, I have been having to literally, "DELIVER," the blood out of my body, by pushing because my cervix is blocked from allowing my menses to free flow... IT HAS BEEN A TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I'm 46 yrs old w/no children and having to resort to pushing and baring down during my cycle to get it out of my body is so horrible I just begged GOD for help. I had gestational diabetes with the last 4 pregnancies. And my fibroid continued to grow. My 10th pregnancy I miscarried . I bled so much each month afterwards. I wasn't a candidate for hysterectomy yet because my fibroid was huge. My uterus was as big as a 5 month pregnancy. I got an uterine fibroid embolization. Supposed to get a hysterectomy as soon as fibroid shrunk to a smaller size that they can safely remove it all! I bled for 8 months after that. Then I watched this video. I went keto that day. 5 months later and 30 pounds lighter and my fibroid went from 5 lbs to under 1 pound!!! I'm no longer a candidate for a hysterectomy and I'm feeling great!!! I tried the keto diet a few years back and I lost some weight but I had horrendously bad periods. A friend tried the same diet…same results. I started the diet in Sacred Woman and lost 30 pounds in 2 weeks - I jumped right into the mostly vegan diet and believe me…I do not recommend losing that kind of weight so fast. Losing the weight was not my intention - healing my womb problems was. I stuck with it and it’s been tough but I’m finally feeling a lot better - the brain fog is gone for one.
The previous 3 ultrasounds had shown continued growth on 2 fibroids and an ovarian cyst (I lost an ovary 8 years ago to an ovarian cyst the size of a grapefruit so…it was concerning to find one on my remaining ovary). After a month and a half of mostly vegan eating, healthy movement, and working on my womb and colon health, I had another ultrasound - the fibroids have not gotten larger and for the first time, the cyst has decreased in size. This is what’s working for me. Just throwing it out there for anyone that found the keto or carnivore diet did not work with their body.
I’ve been doing this for almost 3 months now.

I wish I had had this information a long time ago. I had a large fibroid that caused my period to stop at age 39, then start back up a couple of months later with heavy bleeding and large blood clots. It wasn’t stopping and was very heavy. I couldn’t go anywhere without having accidents. I went to my doctor and she berated me for coming in to see her for my problem. I should have went to another doctor right away, but I felt horrible physically and now mentally. Finally, it got so bad I was anemic and seeing black spots and nearly passing out. I went to see another doctor finally and she sent me to a specialist. He took a biopsy and said I had hyperplasia and a fibroid tumor in my uterus and that my blood was at a 7 and should have been 14. He scheduled me for a hysterectomy. Also during surgery he found I had a grapefruit sized cyst on one ovary and had to drain and repair it. So I wound up having a partial hysterectomy and nearly dying because I had lost so much blood. I have only one child and my period started when I was 12. I was over weight most of my life though. It was a very rough time in my life.

  • @JP-br5os
    @JP-br5os Před 2 lety +79

This is so true. I had nine tumors, one the size of a small pre-term baby. Due to the size and location of that one, I was told that they couldn't be taken out via the noninvasive measures. I had to have four blood transfusions because of the fibroids, and it was a nightmare. I changed my diet and habits, and my fibroids shrunk. I was able to have a simple removal surgery vs. the hysterectomy which is often the "solution" given to African American women. I practiced portion control, cut sugar, cut dairy (and replaced with oat and almond milk), cut DOWN (not OUT) on the pasta and breads, and started exercising. Also, when they say "doesn't cause any problems," I really resent that. Just because it's not "cancerous" doesn't mean it's not deadly. I get that they want to manage expectations and not just do surgeries on folk, but I almost died twice from the bleeding due to just letting the fibroids just sit inside of me for years. Ladies, please follow your gut, do your own research, and then balance that out with multiple medical opinions, especially if they find multiple "small" fibroids in there. They DO grow, and eventually cause problems that, in my opinion, could be avoided if action is taken early vs. not doing anything because a doctor says "Oh, they're harmless...."

I have 3 large fibroids and was schedule for a total hysterectomy on Friday but the hospital copay was so high and they would not split the payment. I am scheduled feb 18 and I am going to try this while I wait to save the copay. It would be so amazing to have them shrink enough to live a normal life. Thank you for giving hope. Whenever I type in a fibroid diet it says to eat organic but not much about low carb.

Holy WAOW! Doctor Berry!!!!! I’ve been waiting all my life for these words from a doctor...how nutrition relates to fibroids. I’ve always instinctively known this as my fibroids shrunk when I entered the LCHF lifestyle. My rationale was that if PCOS is helped by LCHF diet then it has to also have the same effect on fibroids on/in the uterus. BraVO!!!!!

Thank you so much for explaining the current research about fibroids. I wish this information was available to me years ago. Fibroids are a nuisance and caused me to have severe health problems. I wound up having a hysterectomy because I had constant daily bleeding and my ovaries were not showing up on ultrasounds. I kept put off having the surgery because I was a high school teacher and didn’t want to be away from my students. Finally, I couldn’t take it any longer. My gynecologist apologized the day after my surgery! She explained that I had an advanced case of endometriosis that never showed up and my ovaries were wrapped around my bowel which explained the severe pains I experienced in my back. What a relief it was after the surgery. Fast forward 30 years, I’m just starting to have a few health issues as a result of the surgery.

I wish I had info like this before my partial hysterectomy. Fortunately I have been blessed. No issues, and no signs of menopause even after 8 years....but I now understand that my chronic hormonal imbalances that caused fibroids, endometriosis, etc. were from chronic anxiety that had my body and hormones out of whack. I was eating too much sugar and that just fed the fibroids. Had I taken better care of my body like I do now, I wouldn't have needed that surgery and my situation wouldn't have gotten out of control.
Diet and stress is the ultimate reason most of us have endocrine issues. Never underestimate what stress can do to the body. We need to stop blaming everything on sheer genetics. You have control! We need more doctors who truly understand the human body! Most don't.

Absolutely incredible and sensible information dear Dr Berry. Offlate I have started to realise with alarming intensity how diet and everything that we eat has a direct impact on our body system and it's effective functioning. Any emerging disparity can empahtically be corrected by the way we eat our food. What we eat is truly the medicine-nutrition we are taking for the healthy functioning of our body on a daliy basis.

I started following you for carnivore information and today found this video when looking up information on fibroids. I've had them for years, actual a couple of decades. They are the kind that cannot be removed. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy years ago but lost my insurance and didn't have the surgery. I started menopause during my late thirties and almost bleed to death, bleeding 25 days out of the month, for about 5 years before I stopped bleeding all together in my early 40s. I became severely anemic. I didn't fit into the early period since I started at 13. I have three children, the first one at 19 years old. I've felt so much better since I stopped bleeding. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and every single time I have a MRI for my back the doctor always tells me my fibroids show up in my MRI. Anyway, today I am researching how to shrink them and found your video. Thank you for all the information you share. I have diabetes, started with my first pregnancy at 19 as gestational diabetes. Diagnosed with full blown diabetes about 52. Did KETO diet for 10 years and reversed the diabetes. Now doing keto/carnivore leaning more toward carnivore with just few keto things added in. We will see if the fibroids shrink.

I'm African-American, not overweight and never have been, and I didn't start menstruating until I was 13 years old. I've had a child and, at 55 years old, I still haven't entered menopause. I was diagnosed with fibroids about 7 years ago although I have had symptoms for longer than that. One is the size of a golf ball, the other the size of a cantaloupe with my uterus the size of a 5 month pregnancy, as a result. I haven't had any surgeries or procedures since I've been waiting for menopause and the chance they would shrink with its onset. Now, my doctor is concerned about prolonged estrogen exposure and the possibility of cancer as a result. I'm currently undergoing testing to determine whether or not that is a threat. At this point, I still don't want a hysterectomy, but out of an abundance of caution, I'm almost willing to undergo another procedure for removing them (there are many types and I'm not sure which I'll choose). I exercise regularly and avoid toxic foods, I get proper rest and drink lots of water. My fibroids don't cause me much problems outside of occasional pain and a protruding stomach, so I can continue to live with them if need be, but the estrogen exposure is of great concern at this season in life. I can try one of the diets recommended in this video, but that will cause me to risk longer exposure, so I'm not sure what I should or can do (testing for C is pending). Wish I'd seen this video sooner and had more time to try (although I have tried vegetarianism and veganism, anti-sugar, anti-soy, etc.) as nothing else seems to work.

Thank you so much Dr. Berry! You've put my mind as ease about my recently found fibroids that I brought about by ingesting too much...sugar*. My sugar intake has dropped drastically so my next ultrasound might be a huge surprise to my doctor. I'm putting my plan together to begin my first 30 day challenge and I plan to make the change indefinite! I am a CARNIVORE!! lol God Bless you and your precious family!

I have been bleeding since may 20th (mostly light) and my doctor just told me I probably have fibroids. And this video has me SOBBING. To know I have hope to resolve the issue myself. And I can tell you’re right because any time I eat anything “fast food” or high calories my uterus hurts. It feels like the fibroids are angry and inflamed mainly about 15-20 mins after I eat.
    So thank you.

I’ve been through this too! Anytime I eat fast food or even processed food from the grocery store they start hurting so bad. So now I lost 38 lb thru fasting drinking only water and then going into plant based diet. I have more weight to lose but I’m almost petrified to eat anything non vegan for fear of inflammation and excessive bleeding. I have cravings still sometimes for stuff like Doritos and pizza but it’s simply not worth the pain and my health.

You guys keep in mind not everyone can eat a carnivore diet . I have fibroids and my fibroids don’t like meat at all .

What the good doctor is unaware of is the role of stress in the growth of fibroids.while weight maybe a factor for some, more white women would have severe fibroids if that was the main issue. However, black women are far more likely than white women to develop severe fibroids.
I am a black woman who went on a low carb, sugar free, organic eating plan in 1996. It's how I continue to eat 28 years kater. the one thing science never offered was the connection between mind and body.
Take it from me, stress is the issue. Look into mind/body connection and epigenetics if you want to find relief.
Seven surgeries later, I finally found the solution.

I do hear trauma can be a cause as well. I am reading vitamin D as well. So much.. they want to do a hysterectomy but my spirit just isn’t at peace with that. So just looking to go the natural route. I believe if they affected men, there would be a cure by now. My dr acts like removing my female organs is no big deal. Ughh 🥹😭 trying Dr berrys way. I’m don’t know how to heal the trauma part.. even as a believer.. I still don’t.

@@Chantel.tx1 My best advise is stop eating sugar, reduce carbs like breads, exercise more and get a good therapist. I did everything EXCEPT address my trauma which was a big mistake. Six surgeries and 20 years later I had a hysterotomy. Everyone said my health issue was solved. Six months later I had the first hemorrhagic cyst rupture. Let's talk about a new level of pain.
After my second hemorrahagic cyst rupture (exceptionally unusual was all my obgyn could say), I got serious about addressing trauma and stress. Knock wood, it's been over 5 years since the last rupture.

This is so true! I started eating pure corn starch (due to grief and stress). Starch turns into glucose. I told my primary about my corn starch habit and she brushed it off as if the symptoms didn’t start after I’ve been eating starch for nearly 7 months. So now I am committed to not ever eating cornstarch again (also corn can be sprayed with hormonal pesticides) and eating organic non gmo fruits and veggies.

I’ve had fibroids for years and all the symptoms that come with it; heavy periods, pain, etc. Recently, I noticed my symptoms have gotten worse, particularly my mood swings. Spoke to my PCP and had my hormones checked. All was great except for my estrogen which is at 800. I am 48. Checked my fibroids gain yesterday. I’m going to assume they’ve gotten bigger. Last time they were checked, I had a few of varying sizes, the largest the size of an orange. I’ve never been overweight in my entire life, I eat fairly decent and exercise almost everyday, so I’m perplexed as to why my estrogen is so high sad why my fibroids are making my life so uncomfortable. I’m going to try this low carb diet and continue to exercise. Will see it it works. Thanks for this information because I’d much rather have my fibroids and estrogen issue addressed naturally than go the route of having surgery to remove them.

I am going through the same thing, I am hoping to get the fibroids resolved via UFE but before it I am cutting out sugar, excercising, and eating veggies and fruits...it's lowered the fibroids from bleeding heavy but I feel like imbalance of hormones are an issue and I might just resume back to eat regular stuff (meat, seafood, diary...)

@@IreneSee I did the same thing since my comment: removed sugar, carbs, rice, bread. I exercise daily. Basically I eat meat, veggies and fruits. I’ve noticed a drastic difference. No bloating, no excessive peeing, no foggy brain/crazy mood swings, no pressure/discomfort in my pelvic area. I feel hopeful about about my next appointment to check the size of my fibroids and hormones. There’s no going back to eating poorly for me, not that I did before. Added benefit is that I’m back to feeling and looking almost as fit as I was in my 20s and 30s.

Do you sweat? Sometimes even after exceeding some people don’t sweat so they have to go to the sauna to get excess hormones and toxins out the body. Also, everyday products (deodorant, lotion, shampoo, etc) could cause excess estrogen due to all the harmful chemicals they put in them
