Sorry guys the edit around the 10 Minute mark is horrible! i forgot to fix it when i was going back through the final edit. Im going to re upload the video fixed immideately!
Thanks for sharing, maybe some content or reviews on your trucks you drive and some of the options on those big rigs! Keep it going hope to see a cross family trucking âtruckâ on the road soon đ
Cheers mate appreciate it đ
Mate, well done for having a crack at youtube. Your doing great. Aussie content is always good. So much better than some of the American stuff.
Thanks mate mean a lot đ
Yes! Found you over the algorithm. And it's cool stuff. K am fro Germany/ Europe.
Would love to see more of Australia
@@renelange141 same here I'm glad I clicked it as I wanna move to Australia from new Zealand to drive trucks. Also would love to watch some NZ trucking vlogs but no-one here does it now
Brilliant Jack. Keep going. There is so much you take for granted that others would be interested in. Truck hp, motor, ice packs, fuel consumption, rest breaks, truck stops, rates, driving techniques, dash board, cabin etc. Endless possibilities. Well done
Thanks mate I appreciate the feedback opening my eyes up wider to what people would take interest in đ
Thanks Jack for letting me into your world. My brother and I did a stint together in the Territory for a short time. He has continued on into MC work, while I focussed on the town/ city delivery. You guys literally carry Australia on your back, and I for one am grateful for your dedication, and all the sacrifices you and all the other truckies contribute towards our everyday living. Love the vlog. An idea for video content, how about a walkabout of your rig. I'm particularly interested in the auto transmission aspect. Heard of it, though never driven with it. Maybe that could be a video on its own. I'm used to roadrangers.
Thanks for your hard work too mate weâre all doing our part đ currently trynna find time to do a truck tour itâs hard while trynna focus on my job
What a fantastic channel. Our roads are a joke, they aren't built to handle single 40ft trailers . It looks like such a beautiful country .
Finally Aussie video ,very rare mate keep it alive and going cos I can only find American trucks videos
Happy to help brother đ
đ saw a Don Watson's truck on M1 Goldcoast Sunday nice trucks cheers
Thanks đ
Love the pov. Love the videos!! Cheers mate!!âđ»â€ïž
Great Aussie content.. your a natural! Keep em coming! đ
Another great video Jack. Love the sandwich review! And I really love that rock guard. Good to learn locations and depots, and the help graph your is really nice. How many hours can you work a day? How many of that can be driving? How many hours per week total before a reset? Thanks a lot for the videos. Glad I ran across your channel. You do a really great job. Hope the boy feels better. You guys be blessed, tell the wife and him we said hi, and Iâll talk with you next time. I hope the channel does super good! And Cross Family Trucking as well!
Thanks. I love watching the view from your window!
Great videos mate đ keep it up.
I'm considering the Hr license, great stuff about hearing what the job is about đ
Suggestion. As you travel I see things out the truck window and wonder where you are. Also you see things that are familiar but cannot recall where they are. It would be very helpful to know where you are at any given time. You do label some places likes Cunninghams Gap Qld , so more of that. But the road signs showing places and destinations I find extremely helpful. Either film the sign when close so we can freeze the frame if we wish, or just freeze the frame in the video. It is good knowing your family and ambitions it makes your channel unique. All the best and I hope all your dreams come true.
Cheers mate noted đ
Great video mate some of my old stomping grounds
Love the sound of those trucks keep up the good work
Thanks mate appreciate it đ
So good to see these longer videos, its also impressive that the video is never boring. Good work mate.
Cheers mate thanks for watching đ
Absolutely love this mate! Itâs so easy to watch and we live having on in the background. Itâs like having you in our house.
Thanks Han đ
Really enjoying the videos itâs great seeing Australian content. Thanks for posting. đ
Cheers Phil
Just found your channel jack very enjoyable watching keep up the good work we are watching all the way from Northern Ireland
Love Ireland I played rugby over there in high school đ thanks for watching
Love the content please don't change.love all of your vids so far .
Cheers đ
Great series, enlightening view of another world most of us take for granted.
Suggestions for future content:
1. Food on the road and health, how do you ensure good food and not cancerous vegetable oils or sugars.
2. Where to find good coffee on these routes given limited parking options
3. What it's like to bunk in the truck
4. How problematic are the authorities insofar as log books, roadworthiness and regulations etc
5. If possible some drone footage of truck(s) rolling
6. What it takes to be an owner driver or migrate to starting your own
7. Try to give us new routes, consider doing a drive for another company or friend somewhere new for fun
8. The radio lingo and what it means
9. Maintenance and behind the scenes things you attend to
10. Help advise of things car drivers may do unwittingly that place themselves and yourself at risk
11. Discuss more on engine reliability, type, km done, age of vehicle etc
By the way, I've really appreciated your content thus far. You're articulate, patient and considerate when it comes to filming certain things or inconveniencing others. This is partly what makes your content great
Thanks so much appreciate all the help đ
Great to see content from Australia , Looking forward to more videos cheers mate all the best from UK.
Cheers mate đ there must be a lot of passionate truckies over there I talk to a lot of you guys in the comments
Cheers for your effort mate. It's good to see behind the scenes. Had MR for many years. Kids are getting bigger (single Dad) so almost me time and a HC. Keep up the great work. It's greatly appreciated đđ»
Cheers mate đ thanks for watching
First ten minutes of watching this channel, and my thoughts are that this is a natural and engaging speaker. Awesome style of connecting with the audience.
Thanks brother. Appreciate the positivity đđ»
Another great video thank you. I wish you well. A few things that would be good, how the truck works, gear changing, air brakes etc, what truck you drive and why, what motor you have and why, fuel usage, road rules, drive times, mandatory breaks, number of km in a week. Talk to other drivers, in particular older and retired drivers from yesteryear. Night driving v day. Wet v dry. Loaded v empty. Tyre wear and milage. Costs in a week on the road. What you like most, and like least.
As always stay safe. See you next time.
Cheers John đ
Love it mate want to see more!!
The next one will be up within the hour mate đđ»
Got a new sub brutha. Keep up the hard work and keep her shinny side up. Rogie đ€
Thanks very much bro đ
Love your stance on parenting and your goals for your own business. Subbed.
Cheers Luke thanks for watching đ
Love your work, stay safe
Cheers đ
- first part youâre doing right is engaging with your audience and asking what they want
- travel vlogs are always great! Perhaps you can add in some places you go or if you meet up with other trucker friends
- Do multiple Q&Aâs.
- Live streams of you just driving and chatting
- Do product reviews of things you pack for your shifts, food you eat, how you eat it etcâŠ
- hours you do per week, how often youâre home?
- road kill and what you do if youâre in wombat/kangaroo territory - do you slow down, would you swerve etc..
- do you help out other truckies at all? I.e. cops đ
- do reviews of specific truck products (I donât know them.. like how you charge your phone, recharge batteries on the go, how you heat up food etc..)
- reviews of truck stops
- radio chat / chatting to other drivers
- turn signal introductions e.g. why do truck drivers always signal left/right/left kind of thing
- do truck drivers notice good car drivers who let them in or move over etc..
- dash cam style footage of people not noticing you or the consequences e.g. someone who just cuts you off.
- do you have a reverse camera? How do you actually know how close to docks you are or trailers etc..
- do you ever take your family in the truck? Are you allowed to?
- sleeping setup I.e. shutout curtains etc..
- how does wind/rain/weather affect your driving and speeds?
- what is compression braking ?
- how to go through the gears
- how much does owning your own truck cost you as an independent contractor vs working for a company?
- pay?
- with your brand when it expands the obvious thing is merch, but can you create something other truckies will want?
You can probably do a lot of that in CZcams shorts but also create kind of clickbait hooks to get them to go to your channel and watch the full video.
Alright thatâs enough đ
lol thatâs detailed! đđŒđ đ
Definitely needs to be some focus on trucks passing and car drivers not being knobheads and speeding up etc.
Love your work brother keep sending them
Cheers will do đ
Hey bro, another cool video. Content and commentary are top notch. Hope everything works out for you with CZcams and getting your own truck.
Thanks brother appreciate it đđ

A very enjoyable video mate. I work 6am-2pm every day in a printing factory. While as a print tradie I do still love it, hitting the open road looks so attractive. The older I get, the less I want to see the city and just want that freedom.
I feel you old mate the city life gets old đ
Just started watching your videos and there good and you donât swear on them, well done.

Damn thatâs a neat looking truck
Good luck with the Vlogging man.. definitely need some channels like this to show the general public what we do and potential drivers what to look out for.
Thanks brother đ yeah for sure hopefully people see it and decide they wanna give it a go
How good are the roads heading up to Gods country (Gold Coast) from Sydney "Awesome" Especially for the bro's driving the big rigs.. I head up there every October for golf tournaments. Safe travels buddy, take care and we'll see you on your next video..chur
Yeah itâs a beautiful country brother đ thanks for watching
Another bloody brilliant episode.
You could also review highway conditions, favourite run, truck reviews, talk about your background if you want to discuss that.
Also your ever bobtail and need to hold up around Larapinta area, sing out as I know a few rarely used roads for a sleep if you run low on driving hours.
Highway conditions is a good one! Truck reviews are on the list already đ cheers brother will do
As someone who has had interest sparked in linehaul driving by watching yours and the Homeless Truckyâs vids, how to actually drive a truck doing linehaul would be a great video!!
I only have a car licence so a rundown on how you go from a normal licence to MC licence would be great.
Iâve always loved driving, not just for road trips but I love pushing and doing the long haul stints in the drivers seat. Have driven between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne heaps and love doing it. The freedom of the open road in front of you is awesome.
hey mate thanks for watching. call your nearest truck school they would be the best source of info on upgrading your license! hope to see you on the highway some day
Great start to vlogging Jack. Thereâs lots of stuff you can cover in more detail as you get more comfortable with it. I follow Trucking with Schmidt in the US which is a good example. Canât wait until you get your own prime mover! đ keep it up!
Thanks mate I follow him too đ
Lol....when you talking about the pie warmer you were literally driving past Kings at Heatherbrae where you could buy a 12v pie warmer ...Love your vids dudeđ
Lol never even noticed I reckon Iâm gonna go get one and do a review đ
Canât wait for the next one
Cheers Brian
I genuinely have never had any interest in trucking or truck drivers lives (not that I don't respect and appreciate them).

Hi mate I like watching your CZcams channel, I like different drivers from different countries
Cheers đ
Great video with some vision explaining method and systems of trailers and hookup procedures. Also may want to explain to folk the eyes to see camera on your dash and the reasons companies install them and how it works from your point of view as many different opinions out there..
Cheers đ
Love the Channel â€ïžfrom uk truckerđ
Thanks for watching mate đ
@@crossfamilytrucking no worries mate đđ»đđ»
At least your out there keep on trucking mate
Thanks brother đ
Great videos mate, keep them coming. It sounds like we have similar goals, but you're a bit ahead of me, though. All the best to you and your family.
Awesome to hear brother đ if you ever buy a truck I would love to see it
@@crossfamilytrucking yeah brother for sure, I look forward to seeing yours too.
Thanks for explaining the steps for the licensing in vlog 3. These videos are great, once your channel gets big I can say I've been watching since 400 subs. Cheers
Also you should be able to contact youtube support to get the first vlog recovered
Cheers man yt is notorious for being impossible to contact lol
The truck stop food reviews sound good for content ideas, even more in depth like where to shower and what you need to bring on each journey. Possibly a video on the BFM fatigue management course and videos on stuff you didn't expect before you started.
Nice truck I love your truck
Cheers mate đ
New subscriber here, love your videos, can you explain in a video the differences between a B Doubles, and Road Train
Content idea for you going through the him up procedures in detail
Keep up the good work đ
Noted mate thank you đ
Good work sir, watching from Qatar. I am a trucker myself and am African.
Wow Qatar we are a long way apart thanks for watching brother đ
I recommend anyone wanting to do this give it a go it's not for everyone sometimes you can be away from wife and kids for awhile but you will see more of Australia doing this and being paid for it
Thanks old mate Iâm with you on that I think we need to encourage as many people as we can to get trained up and on the road đ
Would be great to see some content around securing loads, log books, weighbridges etc thanks
Cheers mate will keep it in mind đ
Just found your channel, love it great content. I have driven Trucks for 40 yrs , 30 yrs in the UK all HR work . Been in Australia for 10 yrs and got a job moving Trucks around for a vegetation management company , Trucks. Are a mix of MR , HR , passed my HC last year and have my first job Doing HC work on Monday , transporting a specialized piece of equipment from Adelaide to Mt Gambier . Love Driving Trucks đ€đœ
Nice mate would love to know how your trip goes! đ
@@crossfamilytrucking yeah will let you know , looking forward to it .
I have hc licence.what is your suggest to get a hc jobs
Hey there well did my trip on Monday . Adelaide to Mt Gambier, only one issue with trailer lights , problem fixed itâs self . All in all pretty straight forward trip . Bit of a long day there and back , 11.5 hrs in total .
Jack, for your next VLOG, could you talk about what you do prior to driving the KW..ie checking oils, lubricants, and the process for starting up?
Easy mate will do đ
Just keep plugging away you'll get there.
ONYA Mate.
Cheers onya đ
Only just recently got my mc licence been driving rigids for about 3yrs singles 1.5 now doing both hc and mc when i 1st did a few runs in the mc i thought youd have to go much wider around things admittedly you do have to abit but the b trailer tracks pretty well reversing them well that a whole different ball game haha
Yeah for sure mate the b trailer doesnât cut as much as you think it would hey it took me months to learn how to reverse a double haha
Hey mate love this video
I actually run local in heatherbrae Maitland and Newcastle driving hr and doing multiple pickups and deliveries
It was nice to see it from your perspective in the semi
I hopefully be doing my Mc by the end of the year or early next year depending on booking etc
But ideas can be also cleanest truck stop/ bathroom and shower blocks
Food stops
Even fitness topics on how to try and stay healthy as a line haul driver while on the road
And making simple meals etc can be a good thing
And maybe different mapping software for truck drivers
To see how accurate it can be
Maybe even doing pro and con videos later on
Anyways mate loving the content your putting out
Great to see your giving it a go đ
Hope to see ya out on the road soon
Thanks mate those ideas are awesome Iâll definitely give a couple a go I think đ
Good luck for when you go upgrade your license mate let me know how you go đ
Iâm just happy your honest about wanting the CZcams money đ
To be fair this content is great, I want to get my MC eventually so I can move from where I am.
Cost of living is a joke at the moment.
Cost of living is partly why I got my mc mate covid wasnât very nice to the working man đ
Just found this channel and subbed. Some ideas for other content - truck washing; reversing a B-double for beginners hehe Cheers :)
Noted mate cheers đ
Love the videos mate Been looking at jumping ship from local box carter in Sydney to linehaul whatâs don Watson like to work for so they do daytime running or mostly night time?
Keep up the work
Theyâre a good company to drive for mate thereâs more night time work rather than days but you do get the odd day trip đ
Great đ video I remember when most companies wanted minimum 5 years experience before even looking at you for a driving job
Some still do mate not a lot though đ
