Elder deep fiend baby, that's what we live for. Modern staple
i love lotus field ❤
great comment
5 mana on turn 3? Rookie numbers for Tron
Look What They Need to Mimic a Fraction of Our Power
What do you mean, I need to discard a card for my 2 mana land? 🤔
Spike, could you spend every living moment making content for me? How's 5 bucks a month for the rest of my life, Sound good?
"you're feeding them too much so they are pooping too much"
"relatable"
😂
woah that sultai nadu list looked sick
I've been rocking EDF since day 1 modern in paper, that creature is MVP!!! People don't see it coming and it can easily be a time walk effect for early, mid or late game. 2 Urza's incubator with 1 Ugin the Ineffable have also been superstars in my UG Eldrazi build.
Seeing that bow and footblade reminded me they should really keyword the ETB attach ability that a lot of equipment has now. Honestly feels much more natural to play equipment that way, it's a bummer equipment has been in the game so long but most of them suck because you gotta pay twice for cast and equip
Nothing's the matter, Fry. Now that I've fixed the Matter Reshaper!
Deck look's sick! Is 8 7-cost enough for Lab? The tendency seems to be more towards 10-12. Do you have a SB guide made for this deck? Would help out alot. Great content as always, cheers :D
I’m not sure how I feel about lotus field ❓
When people say lotus field is "too cute," it is because you only run 1 effect that turns it on: Consign to memory.
Using a magic combo calculator, you will only have a 26% chance of actually these two cards in an opening hand. Decks where lotus field are viable usually run either untap effects, things that shut off etbs, or more stifle effects. Of course, the untap effects dont work with anything else here, and there's not really any more viable stifle effects in modern, and the hate bears who shut off etbs are in white, so it is a very "cute" inclusion. If Thespian Stage was in the deck, it would be a tad better, though.
Spike: 5 MaNA oN TuRN 3??!?!
Me: Thinking about what happens if you play 2 Noble Hierarchs
I can't imagine the extra revenue Spike would make if he had a donate command to play "I always feel like, somebody's watching me and I got no privacy" lol
I don't think there's a clear argument on principle alone for banning Shuko or Nadu. Which choice is better entirely depends on if Nadu without Shuko would or wouldn't be a health addition to the format.
That question depends on a lot of complicated analysis, and how you define "healthy addition to the format." There are tons of variables to take into consideration from player sentiment to card-specific interactions. Any one factor, if extreme enough, could tilt the result either way.
It should be pretty obviously impossible to accurately shortcut all that analysis just by comparing Shuko to Nadu and evaluating those two cards on a single predetermined axis. Making that decision based on some simplistic principle means discarding a lot of information that we've already established is could be determinative. Any algorithm for making the correct decision is necessarily going to be quite complicated.
I'm not saying that WotC, or another hypothetical maintainer of the format, couldn't make ban decisions on a single simple criterion. But it wouldn't be the same as making ban decisions to promote the health of the format, which is WotC's main stated goal.
In summary: 🤷
People are too stupid to realize that Nadu is just simic Yawg, and people need to get over it already.
@@avatarofcloud nah nadu just wins when it resolves on turn 3 most of the time
i think shuko or nadu are both fully broken
they are both cards that are very pushed, its just that the type of design that breaks shuko hasnt really been explored yet until now (from my understanding) and nadu is just that card, mind you shukos strength comes from also being saga searchable, but a 1 (or 0 mana from deck) infinite targeting trigger on your own creatures just screams inevitably broken when they explore more nadu design space with value coming from self targeting, so simply hitting nadu wont stop the long term effects of shuko, however at this specific point, nadu is definitely the problem card
Nice shitpost 11/10
Why not Spellstutter Sprite? You can pitch it to Force.
It can only hit one mana spells in this deck.
Are you proposing Spellstutter Sprite as an alt to Consign to Memory? or just as a general add?
Banning shuko would be similar logic to banning outburst or mycosynth lattice wouldn't it?
Try to hit the deck without completely killing it and eliminating the 0 cost target for any future cards.
tbh I wouldn't watch a re-ranking video of mh3 cards. I liked it the first time though!
!card matter reshaper
ban shuko so you can't find the combo with saga?
i hate lotus field 💔
great comment
Nadu needs to be banned, not shuko. Think back to Urza turns, they banned Opal when they should have banned Urza and they killled the affinity deck (at that time). Nadu needs to go from modern!
