Never turned back. But I don't call myself a blink, army, once or any other. And after the way the solo stans talked trash on this release, and how other fandoms trolled the comments (I know they all do this with each other) I never will. 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Jennie is so versatility and multitalented artist. She is main rapper, one of the best female rapper and she has beautiful voice. She is lead vocal. And in another group she would be lead vocal too and even main vocal. She is incredible. There are few idols and artists who are so talented. There are few rappers who have a great voice. (And she is great dancer too)

If this was Ice Cream by Teddy Park and that It was not made as a Western Song it would have been a lot different. Anyway there are still over 90% of the people who liked the song. A flop? This song has a really kpop vibe to it that blended in Selena Gomez's voice and presence very well. Lisa's rap section might sound that way because it has a cadence common to most Korean pop songs.

I think all it needs is a prechorus then we could differentiate between verse and chorus. But I like this song and can appreciate it for what it is because it achieves that goal of being cute and simple. Not every blackpink song can be everything to everyone and each song has its purpose and place. For me, this song is perfect for when I'm in a feel good mood walking down the street in summertime. I think a lot of fans are just looking for this universal, all encompassing, perfect blackpink song to end all songs but dude that's a lot of pressure! I think more people need to appreciate Ice Cream for the specific area of music it's in and not be so harsh when blackpink puts out a single. Just because they have a song that didn't hit right for you doesn't mean that you have to be disappointed in them. This song just wasn't for you and that doesn't have to feed into your conclusions about them as performers or artists.
