    Ingredients For Potato Sausage Goulash
    3 tablespoons of lard (or oil)
    3 onions
    3-4 sausages
    1 teaspoon of caraway seeds
    1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
    1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
    1 teaspoon of hot paprika
    200 ml of tomato puree
    3 larger potatoes
    salt, black pepper
    4 cloves of garlic
    tablespoon of marjoram
    broth for topping up
    How To Make Potato Sausage Goulash
    1. First, melt the lard and sauté finely chopped onions until golden brown. Feel free to let them darken nicely for a rich color of the goulash. Towards the end of sautéing, add the sausages, cut into larger cubes, and sauté them as well.
    2. Remove the pot from the heat for a moment to prevent the spices from burning, then add sweet, smoked, and hot paprika along with caraway seeds, and mix well. Pour in 0.5 liters of broth and add the tomato puree to the base. Return the pot to the heat.
    3. Add diced potatoes to the base, season with salt, and cook until the potatoes are softened.
    4. Once the potatoes are tender, add garlic, a handful of crushed marjoram, and season the goulash with salt and pepper. Simmer for a while longer until the goulash thickens.
    5. If the goulash doesn't thicken as desired, mash a portion of the potatoes in the pot and the starch will take care of the thickening.
    6. Serve the finished dish with chopped chives, alongside toasted bread, or just as it is.
