Boy am I in debt
I love, love, LOVE, that he uses the top side of the knife to scrape the onion into the pot! 👍 Using the blade to scrape food off cutting boards dulls it. Bravo!!!
Lol, I just worked out to do that last night!
Um, I do that all the time because I'm too lazy to do it a different way. 😂😊
Now this is one guy with excellent taste for making recipe videos. Don’t know why some people talk so much. You learn to cook mostly by watching not babbling through it. The recipe is awesome! 👍👍👍♥️👏. Music was just right. Can’t wait to try this. Thank you. Will look for your videos.
What an a-MAIZE ing meal! 🌽😂
Love those ‘corny’ puns!…always a ‘kernel’ of truth to them!
My grandmother showed me how to make corn fritters many years ago. I add dice green chilies and diced onions to mine. Yum Yum
This is filmed so creatively! I can’t not watch! How clever to pull us in with the sassiness of the cook! My 85 year old father LOVES creamed corn and hardly anyone else does but these recipes look like they have the potential to change our minds.
The other is kind of a slimmed down version of how cakes because, he for one didn’t use a heavy corn bread mix and he didn’t put creamed corn in his!
I remember, blending corn as in the first recipe.
It simply tasted just like corn meal. Was disappointed.
True creamed corn is cutting the corn halfway of the kernels on the raw ear of corn. Then scrape the rest of the kernels of milking the corn of its milk. Then canning it without water, just salt.
It takes a lot more corn to cream it than using the whole kernals.

I’m a big CORN person ❤, thank you for sharing this, will look forward to seeing you again ❤,,North Carolina girl,
I wish they didn't spray it so heavily :(
I absolutely love canned sweet corn, corn on the cob, elote, fried with tajin, grilled corn, corn chowder...it's so versatile. Thanks! I subbed.
He could boil an egg and make it fascinating!! It's all in the way he handles the food and utensils. Oh, and the sounds are amazing!! I LOVE that there's no chatter... that's a bonus 😊
Many thanks!!!❤
I try to handle the food and utensils the way he does in my kitchen like a copycat, lol. Gave up on trying to wash the dishes in that graceful way too...
Holy cow!! What a turn on!!! Food porn!! All right!!!
Literally love watching this guy cook. He’s my most favorite
Exactly !
The first recipe…… The Fannie Farmer cookbook calls them “corn oysters”. My Mom called them corn fritters, and made them frequently. It was an ideal way of making a cup of leftover corn stretch to feeding 5 hungry people. I made them at work recently for my fellow Lunch Ladies. They enjoyed them.
ETA: I just posted the link to this video on my Facebook feed.
Thanks for your trust! Cook with Webspoon World!🤗
My mom called them corn fritters too! And she dusted them lightly with powdered sugar. Delicious!
@@ghost-ez2zn YUM!
we call them corn cakes and they are awesome!
We ate them as a kid too and put maple syrup on them.
When I was a kid, my Dad got paid twice a month, so there were three to four three-weekend paychecks per year; that's when Mom would make corn fritters. Easy, cheap and nutritious.
I love this guy. His videos are amazing and his unspoken humor and choice of music adds a classy touch. 😘👍
Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome!
The recipes are always creatively great, but the actual food entertainment factor is always off the charts.
The first recipe is the starter for when I make shrimp and corn soup. I add a touch, just a touch of crab boil to it to give it a SLIGHT spicy flavor. The corn fritters or a hot slice of cornbread goes great with it. Shrimp and corn soup is a Louisiana thing, but oh so good!
I do the same except I use freshly shucked oysters added at the end left to poach then drizzled with cream sherry and a pinch of curry powder.
I also do corn and (insert crawfish, crab, shrimp) "bisque" because I live here too. No crab boil added for me but I do get it why some of us do. In my opinion, our corn - harvested immediately to be prepared immediately is special depending on the variety and I appreciate it very simply with salt, butter, stock. No cream or milk....just a shitload of butter for my "bisque" iterations. Most often the corn is simmered and a smooth Vitamix puree with stock and butter, celery, onion... and the garnish is shellfish protein we have on-hand at service.
Just my opinion. I'm certain you all create outstanding, sexy food. Cheers
It’s a sad moment when one can only give you one thumbs up……Delicious job👍👍👍
Thanks for you cook Performance

Good to see these old recipes coming back, they have been around for ages, makes me laugh how you are making your videos 🤣
I have been making corn fritters for at least 35 years. my granny in Kentucky taught me to make these. we eat them with either butter melted on top or pancake syrup. 1 can of corn will make a big plate full. you can also do these with pancake or waffle mix instead of mixing in just flour.
Thumb UP!
Thx!! 💪
Not very calorie friendly but a good cheap meal to fill hungry stomachs in these hard times. My mother always made corn fritters as a side dish when i was young and pudgy. Watching these made now i know why i was so pudgy LOL.

Just as a skilled mechanic relies on their tools to perform tasks efficiently, a chef benefits from using reliable and efficient kitchen tools to create delicious dishes. Bon appétit! 🍳👨🍳
I will try both!
Good luck in cooking!
I just love watching you cook. Keep up the great magic.
OMG, sexiest chef I've ever watched, and never even saw his face! He knows his way around a kitchen, for certain! Those corn fritters made my mouth water for a bite.

Oh my goodness I was raised on these. Mama called him corn fritters. We had them all the time we was poor. Yeah we had these all the time they were pretty good. We have potato fritters corn fritters green bean fritters you name it we had it. Anything to change up a meal. But then when you’re poor they knew how to cook that low income food. She hadSeven kids she had her hands full. She had a lot of miles to feed. I’m 68 years old now I can remember every bit of this.
The corn fritters had me drooling, & the STYLE of the chef! Woo Hoo!
I love the manly way you cook….and handle food. This is filmed and edited beautifully.

I've been trying recipes off youtube channels and it's been really great breaking away from the small list of meals we eat over and over. . Some of yours here, if not ALL, are so wonderful and easy they are going on the list most likely for GOOD! The waffle iron ones are 100% and this , too. I'll keep going on and try MANY I'm sure. VERY original and creative and FUN!! Thanx!
Creamed corn is the best! Never thought of going the spicy route, definitely going to have to try! And corn fritters are a staple here in the The South of the good ol' U.S.A. 🥰
Creamed corn with a spicy twist sounds like a flavorful idea! 😊
Corn fritters and cream of corn soup. Old, old recipes from my great grandmother.

He did not whisk the mixture. He PUREED it, huge difference. Looks very tasty.
Oh how I'd love to have one like him to cook like that for me everyday. It's not the food. It's how he handles it. The way he handles the utensils, etc.

You can put corn into cheese scones. I used to do that when I was 15 I used to do Canning of my homemade beats apples because we had apple sauce from our applpatrice. We had a garden and I used to bake homemade bread at the age Of fifteen I would raise the bread on top of the stove.
At fifteen I knew how to sew my own clothing. Dad made me learn how to make homemade stews and soups at that age. I loved our well water and I loved our organic garden. Man.

Looked like creamed corn in the first recipe - I like it a little more with the corn nit quite so emulsified. The second one is exactly what I’ve been craving - I’m originally from York County, PA and my Mom always made corn fritters - that’s what they are/were called - we ate them with some syrup in top. Now I need to finish the video. I’ll be buying lots,of canned corn this week!!! M
Lancaster county here and I know how we all love our corn in this area. Enjoy Sandy I’ll be making them too.
Hoe Cakes, but, you use cornbread, which he didn’t and, some recipes for hoe cakes will call for a can of cream corn and then, a can of whole kernel drained. Think of this as a slim down version. My grandma had a cast iron skillet was shaped with ears of corn and would put them in the oven to bake.
Thats crazy. You're from PA and my maternal grandmothers family originally came through/from PA loooong ago and grandma made corn fritters too! We live in north central Iowa and the Germans and Norwegians around here never heard of them!
I'm from Tennessee and my grandmother made potato cakes from left over potatoes on a flat cast iron skillet and cornbread ho cakes too. Also crackling cornbread

Thank you Chef for the corn fritter recipe and the corn chowder. So happy you put hot chili powder in the soup. Sometimes I will grill the corn in its husk, remove the kernels, and finished them off in a frying pan with sliced roasted red peppers and cayenne so I am all about your great soup! I'd reserve a couple Tbsp of corn and add after creaming. Still needs a bit of body.
My favorite hack is mixing a large can of creamed and a small can of sweet corn. sweet creamyness of the creamed, but still with body.
