This shows was cancelled because right around when they started filming season 2 covid started and because back then they didnt know when covid would end and since they had a big cast the decided to cancel it.

Have you watched Her Private Life? It's new, plot's not the best but the two main characters have massive chemistry and oml it's so natural/amazing.
I think Campbell had everything to be a really cringe and edgy character, but they somehow made him kinda scary and it just works.
No. They were actually making it clear that Campell was messed up, Sam said it and it explains his psychopathic tendencies
The actor has done an excellent job at making us despise Campbell, yet wanting to see more of him. I think it's a fine representation of what psycopathy can be

The reason no one has a life outside of this is because they all had to take on the ability of seriousness as they're in a town with no adults. They're forced to take on the roles of maturity. They dont have time to pursue their old hobbies.

That's what baffles me. It's one thing if it were a smaller group but this is like 50 kids or so. Every single one just happened to have such a miniscule Hobbie that they could forget about it and survive? I don't mean to get dark here but they're still hormonal teenagers. If they're surviving and not actually doing anything to help make them happy while at it, why wouldn't they be suicidal? I'm with Harry in this boat. I'd be depressed as hell and would let them dock my food rations just because I wouldn't care about dying. The only reason I even made it through my teenage years was because of writing. If I couldn't do that for 9 months in this kind of miserable world, I'd definitely had done something awful to myself by that point. I highly doubt with that big of a group that there's not a single kid who's the same way.

Can’t believe this show got cancelled . One of the few Netflix originals that kept my interest all the way through and didn’t have to kill off a bunch of characters to do so
Here’s some of my random thoughts. Grizz is the best character in the show. Toby Wallace (Campbell) is one of the best actors in the show. Ally is cool but kinda annoying. Will is just kinda there. Sam and Grizz are endgame.

All trough out the season you see him with All the kids on and off but at the end of the show (the last episode) you see him with one of the kids mother she pets him before the end which proves that 1. They are in different dimensions and 2. He can travel between both of them
How did no one notice that that dog is supposed to be dead because Campbell totally did surgery on it.
I think it’s trying to say that if someone dies in New Ham (Campbell kills the dog), they might go to the dimension with the parents? Makes me wonder if Dewey’s name was up on the list at the end.

this show really deserved a season 2
I actually really didn’t like majority of the characters on the show. And I basically only watch shows for characters like i really don’t care about the plot. But I did really like Grizz, Sam and Kelly.
So I liked grizz because he isn’t just some jock. He is actually really smart and empathetic. And honestly he was the only character who was 100% unproblematic.
Sam was genuinely the only character who was consistently funny throughout the show. We also Stan how he stayed with Becca throughout her pregnancy. You can tell he genuinely cares about her.
Kelly was always trying to do what was right. She ended things with will because she knew that he belonged with Allie. She also studied on how to help Becca give birth to her child and learned how to help people when they all got poisoned.
Also as much as I disliked Campbell as a character, I will admit that the show definitely needed a “villain” character and he definitely fits the description. I just want him to have a redemption arch but I highly doubt that’s going to ever happen.
I didn't see them giving him a redemption arc but I did see them potentially being an anti hero. you know like the bad guy they ask for help that always screws them over. lol like loki

All I gotta say is Helena and Grizz are the best characters in the show, I really liked them; and that the actors that play Campbell and Elle are just so freacking talented, great job.

Have to disagree. The rest of the characters are good enough (Grizz is really good too) but *Cambell* steals the show and is terrifically balanced btw being terrifying but charismatic. Got to give his actor a lot of props for an excellent acting job.
Toby Wallace really is a godtier actor
He is brilliant, the relationship plot had me so on edge watching him completely take over Elle’s life and ruin her, whilst being so two faced and psychopathic. I genuinely felt tense from his presence at points.
He is not saying that he is a bad actor he is merely saying that the character motivates are made to clear in the show, which shows a lack of thought out story telling

I feel like it could be that if you die in the teenagers world then maybe you get sent back to the other world so maybe Cassandra could still be alive. Another theory is maybe the bus driver they knew is some shapeshifter guy who shape shifted into the dog and that’s why he can travel through both worlds

Hot take, the Society was actually good and made sense, but took some major misteps. And it being cancelled after s1 is definitely the biggest issue now...like we will never get to resolve these conflicts and plotholes they created. Only in fanfic.
I think the reveal about them being dead is not that there are all really dead, but the people back in there universe think there dead

The big reveal at the end of the show is that the dog can somehow travel between the alternate dimensions so it opens the possibilities for them getting back, but the characters don’t know that, the info is only revealed to the audience.

The show is honestly actually good...and like it’s called “the society” cause it focuses more on how hard it is to build a functioning society and that also with teens without rules...surprisingly it had deep messages in it tho...the mystery part is just extra fun for the series to explore

about the dog, did you notice how surprised Cassandra was right before she got shot and we heard the sound heels, like why would we hear heels + why would sh ebe that surprised to see that guy and we also saw the dog there and then in the last scene we see her MUM in heels with the dog...it would explain why she was so surprised.

I actually genuinely loved this show. It’s not perfect and there’s definite plot holes and cringey moments, but it was overall a great story and really good acting, particularly by the guy who plays Campbelle and Elle too. I’m excited for season two. I feel like people ruin shows and movies for themselves by critiquing it too much

@@a3thetix760 PRECISELY! I dont how it goes when you're from, but speaking as a teenager if someones in my neighbourhood is murdered I leave it to the police! The Society makes sense by presenting children as children. No one in it is marketed on looks alone and the characters aren't cliche. In the Society they act like normal people, in Riverdale they put on masks and go out to fight crime 😂

The entire time I was just like “what about the bus driver” and it took them to the end of the second to last episode to figure it out, and then they’re just like “nah that’s not important”.
Also what pissed me off was how the guard turned on Allie for basically no reason at all, which I felt was off especially for Luke, who was supposed to be like able.
And when Harry and Lexi (very unlikeable character) basically said “no more elections because they were going to rig it”... umm yeah, the best way to stop a rigged election is to cancel it completely and make yourself leader, OK.
Also I’m sorry, Campbell is supposed to kill the dog but it’s alive at the end? Who’s blood was that or did the writers just forget about it.
Liam Wilson The guard were manipulated by Campbell into turning on Allie just like Harry was. Luke didn’t want to be involved but was threatened and had no other choice. Also idk what the deal with the dog is but there is a chance that that dog is in both dimensions.
