Based on "how to use KDP" style videos I've seen on other channels, either you're the victim of someone stealing your stuff & posing as you in a 2nd account (that Amazon finally caught up to), the victim of someone not paying any attention to what they're doing (in which case you have about a 50% chance of Amazon making things right), the victim of someone who wants/wanted to steal your stuff to sell themselves and reported you as the thief (in which case you're going to have an uphill battle to prove you're the real you), the victim of copyright trolls (in which case I hope you have recordings of those livestreams or some other proof you actually created the designs you're using), or the victim of someone deciding your bunny looks too much like their bunny (in which case you've got about a 50% chance of anyone in a position of power paying attention to the facts). I truly wish you the best of luck with this situation, it's ridiculous when draconian measures are applied blindly without communication, query, or warning.

The related terminated accounts sounds more like you logged in from a computer/ip address where someone else was logged in before who got terminated.

Echo, do some Google searches for how authors deal with Amazon banning their accounts - there are a TON of resources on how to provide proof, what type of answers they're looking for, and what to do next. This happens a lot, and there are a lot of people who have gotten past it. Best of luck.

I am planning to self publish and have found that a lot of indie authors get their accounts terminated for various reasons including piracy if their ebook is exclusive to AZN. As in someone illegally uploaded their book to iBooks or GoogleBooks. It takes time and lots effort to get the issue resolved. Hope you have luck and it’s resolved quickly. That all said, maybe draw plants? I can see you drawing some succulents or something.

I was banned from Amazon for giving POSITIVE reviews! I can still buy things, they’re not that daft. Turns out it was because I put a smiley on the reviews when I said thank you 😊. Unbelievable! I’ve tried clearing it up twice and got nowhere. So I’m still barred from leaving reviews but now I just delete Amazon’s follow up emails so there’s an upside to it 😊.
Having published on KDP myself, I've seen a lot of other CZcams content about publishing, and while this is the first time I've heard of this particular reason for having an account banned (that it was associated with a previously banned account), it's not uncommon for people to make videos with their stories of having had their accounts terminated.
That being said, there are other options for print-on-demand book publishing you can explore, especially if many of your buyers are already in your audience. So you may want to look into those options, as the re-activation of your KDP account may take more calendar days than you anticipate.

As someone who only uses Amazon to buy stuff, and have found a bunch of stuff that I’m only a bit sure are official and/or of the quality I need, (from Transformers toys to, most recently, new stuff and/or replacement parts for my GoPro, Go Kart, or iPad or whatever), as well as watching some vids about being a diligent shopper on Amazon and other sites, I’m aware of the whole sale spam issues on those sites! Coupled with how a lot of modern websites use algorithms, and how they often make mistakes and how difficult it must be for any human support to stay on top of everything, and many more similar issues, I can understand what you mean by stuff like this is somewhat expected and understandable, but still super annoying and frustrating and concerning! Of course, this may or may not be what actually caused your account to go poof, as I only know as much as you! But regardless, I hope this whole fiasco can get resolved ASAP!

Good luck w/ the appeal, I make and sell jewelry through Amazon Handmade and have had several items taken down b/c a third-party bot flagged it, but my appeals went absolutely nowhere (most recently was a pair of earrings that were evidently the same colors as an NHL team, so the bot said I was violating the team's copyright)
A while ago CGPgrey had his main channel that he’s been running for years with his multi million view vids on it suspended because the CZcams algorithm thought he was stealing content from his second channel, that he also owns. It’s only because he could make enough noise online about it that he got it fixed
This has all the hallmarks of similar mindless algorithm scattershot approach to content moderation. And it sucks. I hope Amazon has more real people involved in its complaints department who can actually look at this case and sort it out for you

Really hope you get your account about. I was hoping to get your coloring book and sketch book when funds got better for me, and I know I am not the only one. Amazon needs to see they are hurting artists by their actions. I agree with you they are just trying to get rid of the rubbish and accidents happen. Luckily you were able to appeal, and I hope they realize they messed up, but damn that is so frustrating. Sorry this happened to you.
What I actually think might've happened is that someone else was stealing your art and got reported, and then Amazon confused your account as another copycat rather than you being the original artist.
I don't sell on Amazon, but the past few weeks I've had a lot of issues with my orders and trying to get refunds, and the Customer Service chat function is shockingly productive. If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest giving it a shot and seeing if you can resolve the issue, especially because you have more than enough documentation to prove that you are the original artist.
Either way I'm so sorry this happened to you and totally understand the frustration like, "Gosh why did this even have to happen," and I really hope it gets resolved!!!!
Amazon banned me from reviewing items claiming there was suspicious activity and all my reviews were removed when I have no idea what I did wrong. I have emailed their support team many times and have received no response. I still need to try talking to someone via live chat and see if I can fix it.
Same exact happened to me 3 years ago and they still haven't responded despite multiple emails. I may never know. Eta Live Chat won't know, or didn't for me. They sent me right back to the same stuff I've already tried. I suspect a bot did it, IDK. Really pisses me off bc I can't even ask questions or say anything anywhere, not just reviews. Shut off entirely except for purchasing of course! And I STILL don't know wtf I did to know if I ever do it again. Thanks for nothing Amazon.

Amazon is hot garbage. Similar to your situation, I had a friend who stuh-RUGGLED to get their information vetted so that they could work on MTurk. They described it at various points in the experience as an enormous run around / waste of time / destroyer of patience / lesson in futility. The customer service aspect of MTurk was basically nonexistant, with most 'resolution' options being something along the lines of, 'submit this form and maybe we'll get around to doing something about it.'
Amazon does stuff and doesn't seem to have any real reason for it. kinds like one of the random "Wheels of Misfortune" where they spin a wheel and toss a dart at it. If it lands on you "Bad things happen" and some sadistic idiot gets their jollies. I do hope you get your account back. Amazon has grown so huge I really don't think anybody really knows what someone else is doing.

I was about to comment how unfair this is and how I was flagged by them too until you mentioned the „scammers“ on kdp who sell low content books. I guess I’m one of them. I don’t know what scam there is in selling a notebook. people use notebooks 🤷♀️ I spent days creating the covers and insides. I also created a coloring book, but oh well I used a mandala design software that I paid for to create the pages.
When I was editing I realize I should have used the word "spam" instead of "scam". Sorry about that. If you're drawing your own coloring pages and not tracing other people's art, I think coloring books are a GREAT way to use KDP! Notebooks and Sketchbooks are the same (in my opinion) as long as you're making the covers with your own art and designs and not just spamming whatever images you find online to posting hundreds of files, I wouldn't consider it spam.
@@EchoGillette as long as you pay for the license to use the art on the cover you are not required to draw your own. I used graphics I paid for and altered them. my books were reinstalled after I provided proof of license.

I can’t do reviews on Amazon for no reason it’s pathetic Amazon keeps saying I violated their rules when I didn’t.
The other day facebook showed me some posts from a few years ago, including a short essay called "imaginary friends" in which I mentioned various youtube content providers who's work I enjoy. Stevie T and the Fact Fiend team, the coffee guy, the sardine guy, a variety of topics. Your name among them, and I wondered "whatever happened" or if you were still busy but youtube just wasn't offering me your output. Anyway... nice to see you again. Hope Amazon can get your business difficulties untangled. Say hi to your plants for me, assuming you talk to them.

The adult colouring communities I'm in say most of the KDP published colouring books on their Amazon wish lists are suddenly unavailable, so I think it's happening to a lot of artists.

I can't leave reviews for my products that I buy and I've had that problem for over a year and tried many times to get it fixed but they keep running around in circles. The thing is before I had always left my honest reviews. But yet I still see spammy reviews... why not stop them instead of me???
I'm a little late watching this, but as an author who uses KDP, I can say that unfounded account terminations are not unusual and there may be mo piracy involved. There was a recent sweep of low or no content books which may have caught your sketchbook and Amazon may not be a good venue for that product. There was a huge sweep of terminations right about the time you lost yours and most of the people i know of were cited as being associated with a terminated account even though they never had an alternate account. The emails usually state the case is final, but these terminations can be appealed and in most cases, the accounts are reinstated after a review, usually after a few days. I'd advise you appeal ASAP. Instructions can be Googled.

This happened to me. I sent them an appeal, very politely. They sent me an email back a week later, saying they upheld their decision and they're sure my account is fraudulent. I'm thinking of involving a lawyer at this point. Please let me know how it turned out for you.

maybe somebody at your IP got banned before or use used somebodys computer that could be ip banned for example my friend is ip banned on his main computer in some games ( for things that was done by somebody from his families he is 12 and bans are from like 2003 to 2006
I got my patreon account banned even though I only followed one persons page and didnt have any paid subscriptions and nothing on my own page and when i asked them for justification they just said "suspicious activity" and refused to give any details. but somehow having a barely active account just to see someones public posts once in a while is grounds for termination??
There's something going on at Amazon, I think. I was a vine voice for literally *decades*. (One of the first, so...literally.). Thousands of reviews, sometimes in exchange for product, but most of the time just because I'm yappy and opinionated and sometimes funny, so there were generally lots of "likes" or whatever. But it was pretty much unpaid labor.
A couple months ago, I submitted a run of the mill review for something, and it got kicked back to me as being inappropriate. I checked it, checked the guidelines, figured it was a mistake, and resubmitted it. I got an email the next day that my ability to post reviews was suspended for "suspicious activity". ALL of my previous reviews were deleted, and I can't even give a star rating to anything. I've emailed the customer service address weekly since it happened and I've never heard a peep from them. They're just ignoring me entirely.
I really wish there was some kind of escalation action folks could take to dispute these kinds of arbitrary rulings from upon high, but not so much. Hope your issue is worked out and that you can convince them that you're you.
I am not a seller, but I got the same Mail and I am banned too... I only used amazon for prime to watch and sometimes buy stuff. So I guess someone got access to my data and creadet a new accont. In my case they never lifted the ban- I wish you luck
