    The top-down view is very nice! It definitely helps a lot with a longer car like A4 Allroad.

      That’s super exciting - how much longer before your car gets here? What’s the spec of your car. I had to wait 6 long months before my allroad order arrived!!

    I have a question for you after I test drove both a Q5 & Allroad in Premium Plus form. I thought the Q5 was really quite compared to the Allroad. I felt like I was getting a little road noise in the Allroad from the tires/wheels. The sales rep mentioned acoustic glass, which I see does not come on either one of these in comparison. But the acoustic glass does come on both of them in the Prestige form. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the road noise and how quite your Allroad is? Did you compare it to a Q5 before purchasing?

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety +4

      Yes I did compare the Q5 to the allroad before purchasing. I agree with you, I did find the allroad to have a little more road noise from the tires compared to the Q5. I didn't find the OEM tires on the allroad to be all that good. So within the first 500 miles I replace the OEM Continental with the Michelin Premier A/S and what a difference! Definitely less road noise and better overall performance with the Michelin's. Also my car is also a Prestige model /w the acoustic glass. So with the Michelins & the acoustic glass - there is very little road noise with this setup. But with the OEM tires - just have the acoustic glass.. is an noticeable improvement in road noise. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

    Got another question for you after picking up my new Allroad Prestige two weeks ago: I've been trying to figure out what the green, yellow, and blue lines signify on the navigation map. Any ideas?

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety +1

      Well first off congratulations on your new allroad!! How are you enjoying the car so far?
      As for your navigation map question, my understanding is that:
      Blue: Interstate/Highways,
      Red: Major Roads
      Yellow: Main Streets
      White: Minor Streets
      I believe this is still true for the 4G MMI systems. But there is nothing in the owners manual that explains this.
      On top of that you also have the online traffic data:
      Green: more than 50 miles per hour or 80 kilometers per hour
      Yellow: 25 - 50 miles per hour or 40 - 80 kilometers per hour
      Red: less than 25 miles per hour or 40 kilometers per hour
      Red/Black: very slow, stop-and-go traffic
      Gray: no data currently available

    Great video (again). Okay two things. Can you tell me the instant (if it has that feature) highway mileage with cruise set at 60 mph. Secondly can you see the heads up display with polarized glasses on. Thanks eh 🇨🇦

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety +1

      Thank you so much!! I'm not sure if I fully understand your first question. The car does have the feature of providing your real time mpg info - I've been able to get over 29 mpg at 70+ mph. If I was not stuck is so much traffic my mpg's would be better plus I disable auto start/stop every time I'm in the car. Not sure if that the kind of info you where looking for.
      However for your second question - the heads up display (along with the AC controls) will be difficult to see with polarized glasses. I just recently ran into this on a recent road trip. This could be an issue if you use your polarized glasses a lot while driving.

    • @kidluk
      @kidluk Před 6 lety

      Bryan Newton I had a feeling about the polarized glasses. The first part was just at 60, what’s the mpg. Thanks eh 🇨🇦

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety

      Based on my commute to work this morning I was able to achieve 37.6 mpg with an average speed of 50 mile per hour for my 14.3 mile trip. Unfortunately there was a bit of traffic this morning and I was unable to maintain the 65 mile per hour speed limit for my commute. I just used the cars short term memory feature for mpg's to get this data. I hope this helps!

    Great stuff! I have got my B9 allroad last June, although I am in China so the dealers says I should at least service the car every 10K Km. That is in the manual, but I see in America the guide says 10000mi?
    Have you encountered any issue with the car so far?
    I saw your 5 dislike video as well. I am not using the Audi SIM card just local cellular service and still got traffic info. Simply insert my SIM card in the slot located in the glove box.

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety +1

      Thanks so much for watching and commenting! You are correct, in the US the allroad service interval is every 10,000 miles. That's interesting that different regions would have different service interval? Did you have one of the TDI engines or the petrol 2 liter turbo?
      I'm a little under 16,000 miles and I have not encountered any issue so far. It's been really great so far! I'm super happy with the car!
      The SIM card slot located in the glove box, is not enabled in the US without some coding tweaks (via VCDS) is my understanding. The car also has an eSIM which in the US is locked to AT&T. There are some workaround via coding tweaks, I'll need to look into those more.
      Thank you so much again! I'm glad you're a part of the community!

      Bryan Newton, in China there is only the 2.0 TFSI 252ps available because of some regulation. The words on the streets says because all the traffic jams and poor gas quality so “Audi” guided we need to service the car every 10000KM or a year, see which comes first. And the Manuel guided the spark plugs need replaced every 20000 KM to keep the car under warranty.
      There may be some marketing sxxt going on. But we can’t really do anything.
      I actually fitted ECS oil catch can to mine. And replaced air filter to the BMC one.
      Installed Defi A1 boost gauge.
      I may got the ecu flashed in May when the weather got warmer.
      I will try uploading some video and share with you but I am not good at shooting videos. I will try.
      I do love the car! It’s a cool looking wagon. I give up my Focus RS order to get this one, no regrets.

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety

      Well that very interesting that the same car/ same engine would have different service intervals in different regions. But I agree with you it's likely some kind of marketing / compliance issues they are dealing with.
      I'm interested to know of they offer Audi Care in China?
      I say YES, you should 100% uploading some videos! Especially with the mods you have planned and have done already! The only way to get better at shooting video is shooting more video = ) I felt the same way for a long time and it kept me from starting my channel sooner. I just try making my videos a bit better then the last video. I say go for it!

    Another thing. I am considering flash the ecu with APR stage 1, which may bring the horse power to 314ps and torque to almost 500NM. Do you have any info that how much torque the gearbox can handle? Thank you!

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety +1

      While I'm not 100%, I recall reading that at 720KM the gearbox starts to slip so I would guess at or under 600NM would be more within the limits. But lets double this this one. I'm interested and have look into an APR tune myself - however this something that will have to wait until the car is out of warranty = )

      @bertdong1023 Před 6 lety

      Bryan Newton thank you for your honesty, it’s so much butter then some other people only saying the words. You walk the talk. When you say 720km you mean 720NM right?

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety

      Yes I meant 720NM ....sorry about that iPhone correction typo. Thank you so much for checking out the video I really appreciate it!

    Hi, If anyone out there has the new 2017/18 Audi allroad and lives near Kent, Washington, Tork Lift Central would like to design a trailer hitch for this vehicle. According to Tork Lift Central, they would need the car for a few days and in exchange, Tork Lift Central will not charge you for the trailer hitch.

    • @BryanNewton
      @BryanNewton  Před 6 lety

    Do you have an air suspension on your Allroad?

    • @BryanNewton

    • @TheTheAdministratory
      @TheTheAdministratory Před 2 lety

      @@BryanNewton That is very interesting. I have SQ5 Prestige with an Air Suspension and it has almost the same ground clearance as Allroad... so why they didn't put on it? I don't get that. By the way, I am also from TX.
