this is so great. way to go. thanks for uploading these. I have some classics that i hope to restore. These types of vids take some of the fear away. And they make me think that i am not crazy In fact i feel very smart for snagging some ot these about 5 years ago. I am a winner. I keep saying this to myself in the mirror. Praise God!

Hi Ludy, i see you many times helping Mike out at his shop and its nice to see you working on your own project, i didnt realise you were such an accomplished mechanic. As for the 1.9 Jetter diesel, not sure its going to be powerful enough but will be interesting to see the outcome, good luck with it and ill keep watching your progress.

Hey! Yeah I know I look like a dumb kid on Mikes channel but I hope I'll be able to prove some wrong haha. I am also excited to see the outcome, I have seen this little motor swapped into a ton of 4x4 trucks and it has the potential to make the same power as a 300tdi with pretty basic mods! We'll see :)

When I bought my 1st RRC it had a Ford York 6 cylinder diesel, first snow flake it would not start so I put a 4 cylinder 3 ltr Perkins started fine but it deafened you on the motorway, I wish you good luck with the conversion but after many many years of RRC ownership I have found sticking to what the boys at LR fitted saves a lot of hassle.

Hahah yeah, the manufacturers normally have a pretty good idea of they are doing. I'm really hoping this conversion is going to work out to be a reliable driving truck ! But we'll see

This is a good engine, but you should have gone with the pd 1.9 tdi engine. Much much better and a best of an engine. So easy to put power on it

That 1.9 pd engine is very robust it is likely to be fine to haul around the RR if the gearing is correct, not so sure it will be up to towing to much !!

My Gawd! - Crime must be REALLY bad where you live. Many workshops are known to have Dobermans or huge Mastiffs or Pitbulls. But at 2:32 , I see you have upped the ante and gone for the ''killer chicken''. Ain't no fucking way I'd even _attempt_ to break into your shop with that thing skulking silently about the place. I'd rather take my chances with a pissed off Doberman.
