If not for the cotton gin the south most likely would have ended slavery without a war but the large plantation business owners were the ones funneling money into the politicians pockets. Very few people in the south realize that the southern army was a conscripted army, the average non black southerner couldn't give two shits about the slavery issue or the union staying together or breaking apart.
@@chinabluewho I don't really believe that. One of the arguments against freeing the slaves was that they would tank the economy as they took white people jobs.
@@DanJuega There was almost no economy to tank in the south as it was an agricultural landscape with few 'jobs' that you could apply for, the only people who were for slavery in the south were the 1% of the population that actually owned large plantations who didn't want to pay daily wages for hired help, pretty much the same as today with large businesses wanting robotics and AI for the labor force.
If not for the cotton gin the south most likely would have ended slavery without a war but the large plantation business owners were the ones funneling money into the politicians pockets.
Back then people didn't fear losing their jobs in the south to blacks as they mostly worked on family farms and family run businesses.

I actually like these Orcs. They're a lot easier to relate to than the bloodthirsty psycho Orcs ("meat's back on the menu, boys!") in Jackson's trilogy.
There was different orc subspecies, in the books there are farmer orcs that must been less violent
