Officer Nicholas is really shady and should be arrested. Something terrible happened to this women and they know it.
The keys were city property. He was no longer a cop. They let him drive off with the keys? Why wasn't he arrested for theft immediately? And you know he was hired by another department immediately. Then cops wonder why people hate them.
Government officials in general love their thug cops. Otherwise, how can they get away with murder so often? Or how is it that they are protected from criminal prosecution so often?

That seems to be obstruction of justice. If you are not employed by the police and you have the only key. You should be arrested for felony theft. Also you should have been an accessory after the fact.

He was told to turn in the evidence keys that he still kept for 9 days after he was told to bring them in. Makes me wonder how many he tampered with. I would call the state in on that one.

If you are a good cop and you know of dirty cops in your force don't be a coward by doing nothing. Of you don't have the backbone to stand up to corruption in the ranks you allow them to punish the very public you swore an oath to protect. We the people depend in the Good Officers that uphold the oath they swore to and we depend on the Good Officers that stand with the constitution. So I say to you Good and Honest Officers out there reading this post...Do not be affraid to out the corruption stand with your integrity and dignity you will make a differance.
Imagine though creating bad blood with peers you depend on to watch your back. The best thing they ever came up with are those personal cameras. They should have those things on at all times. Even when they are inside the station at a desk.

DarkWolf76 : I will honestly tell you my story, and maybe you can understand why cops stay quiet. I was a deputy sheriff, we were at squad meeting at 0600 hours, My corporal in my squad had a grudge for this girl that lived within the city limits and was always getting in trouble. Well, I’m squad meeting he says “today I’m taking Jessica to jail for something, you’ll see.” Well at like noon we get a noise complaint, and it was coming out of Jessica’s house. He tells her to put the music down, and to step outside. She puts the music down, and when she steps outside he grabs her by the wrists, he places under arrest, and as they are walking towards his patrol car, he lifts the handcuffs upwards, and by doing so he broke her wrist. In his report, he wrote she was resisting arrest. Charged her with that as well. I saw that she didn’t resist his arrest, I was walking a foot behind them. Well, I go and tell the sergeant which was the corporals buddy. Nothing gets done. So I go to the precinct commander (top guy), and he says “why didn’t you tell sergeant, or the lieutenant before coming to me ? You broke chain of command.” Long story short, he never got in trouble, after about a month they took me out of that precinct, which was about 15 minutes from my home and put me on the southern most part of my county. It was over an hour away from home. They also put me, on graveyard shift from 1945 hrs to 0615 hrs. That was one story, after 10 years with the same department they continued to pick on me, for every little thing. I tell you the last thing that happened to me. I was in the DUI unit, so a citizen calls in a posible DUI. I begin to follow the vehicle, I observe the drive who was a lady walk into a local gas station, she pumps fuel, and opens a toll can of some liquid and begins to drink from it. When she gets on the road I pull her over. I have her complete the field sobriety exercises to which she fails miserably. So I place my cuffs on her. I have the complainant full out a witness statement. The lady I arrested was I’m the sister of one of you guys do you know detective “Roberts” ? I was like nope. So I call the Sgt. And he says fuck her take her drunk ass to jail. He calls the on duty lieutenant and he says “if she’s drunk take her”. Well, the next day the precinct commander calls my Sgt. Into his office and I can here him say “well that’s the worse mistake he could of ever made for his career.”. From there on I kept on getting picked on. I got injured while on duty, and the department doctor kept telling me I wasn’t able to go back to work. He kept saying I needed surgery. I went on my own to two different doctors and both said I was fine. Well, the department has a policy where if you get injured and their doctor doesn’t allow you to go back to work, they can terminate you . And that’s exactly what they did. So I went, go an attorney and I filed a lawsuit, won 45,000 and they made me sign a letter saying I didn’t want my job back. Unbeknownst to them, I was already in the process with the government, and I’ve been a federal agent now for almost 7 years, and the last 2 yrs I’ve been in the K-9 unit. Every department has a click, it’s normally the guys that are all in the swat team. Those guys are usually the ones that donate the allowed $500 per family member when the sheriffs election comes around. Or some deputies would own a business on the side. One had a pool business, so of course he would build pools for like lieutenants, majors, and precinct commanders. Needless to say, he went in less than 5 years to lieutenant.

I wonder why an intern officer was made an officer and chief the same day the woman's husband the former chief of police was fired. They should have reinstated officer Disney who was fired by the former chief for turning him in at BCI the new chief. Seems he's the only one with any integrity on that force. The former, and prior chief certainly didn't have any and they couldn't have covered it up all by themselves. Others knew what was going on.

Well, it was a comedy satire over a crazy "judge" in some junkyard like place and a couple that strayed into his "jurisdiction" something, not really important but all this reminded me somewhat

More than likely was a retired car that he bought from the city. I'd be willing to bet it should have gone to auction but this clown ended up with it for $100.
Small towns you can lease your personal car to departments for $1, plates and car will come back to departments

So, he turned in his badge, yet he is driving a plain unmarked police vehicle, he is retaining the keys to the evidence room, and refuses to turn them over.
Why is he not being arrested for failing to comply with orders or theft of property.. Something is definitely not right here and truth is being hidden and obstructed.

Why has nobody questioned how someone is found hanging from a ceiling fan? I've installed a few ceiling fans and unless she was dead when she was hung, there is no way that ceiling fan stayed attached to the ceiling. Even somebody hell bent on killing themselves is going to struggle as they lose consciousness.
Not only a murder, but you have an accessory to the murder. You have a criminal element at the heart of the police department, and the previous mayor!

I worked with Matt Disney. He was honest and hard working, never heard him complain about odd shifts or long hours. Had your back. Was good with the public. Another example how council let a good officer down. Council never had our back... they only played games and we were pawns.
If you know something is foul going on you owe it to Disney to stand up and make a differance. What you know could open new leads and offer new insights. Only you can do the right thing. You see yourself as an upstanding person that did the right thing them do it one more time be the voice of justice.

He should have been arrested on a number of charges -- obstruction, theft, evidence tampering -- the split second that he refused to comply with the wholly lawful order to return property that belonged to the city, no ifs, ands, or buts.

When the police do things like this they walk away most the time untouched by the justice system. If the average citizen did anything remotely close to what they did we would be in jail/prison. Police should be under a differnt punishment system that's far more severe than the rest of us. Having a badge shouldn't grant immunity from the law or slaps on the wrist. So few cops face justice for their wrong doings and its created this abuse of power. They get caught they resign or fired just to end up at another department. We need far more oversight into law enforcement throughout this country. Good cops are walking away from law enforcement at an alarming rate.
They need to release the name of the contractor that put up that ceiling fan. That's one quality install!
If he didn’t return the keys the department is going to have one hell-of-a-bill from the locksmith to replace every single lock and replacement keys in that building.
